I found out when I was in the Army (retired now🤣). My daughter and son are also G6PD deficient. The doctors were so amazed, because they said it was rare in females. We became part of a study (guinea pigs 🤣) when I was stationed in Ft. Bliss. Blessings From Texas🤠
Trueeeeeeee, blessings from chicago! I was in Great Lakes when I found out, and women are rare in g6pd expression, but definitely carriers, can you discuss the lab rat experience 😂?
I have g6pd. Found out in 1990 from joining the military. The only I noticed is I get winded quick when doing something strenuous. I stopped eating all beans and make sure I put only nutrient dense and high antioxidant foods in.
Question: Would supplementation with "N-acetylcysteine (NAC)" or "S-Acetyl L-Glutathione" or "liposomal glutathione" or "reduced glutathione" directly ... increase or counter-balance glutathione levels-shortages in individuals with a G6PD deficiency ??
I was too naive until that diagnosis to understand why I felt like crap as a student-athlete growing up(I rarely ate junk foods but ate a lot of what kicked the episodes of extreme fatigue, etc off) , and while it did have an affect on my life in the Navy, it wasn’t as bad as it could have been without the diagnosis
I got diagnosed when I was 2 years old... I cant understand a single thing... all I understand is that I am allergic to certain vegetables all fava beans and soy products...
