Finally got a setup so I could record the exhaust sound from the outside rear of the car. This is a stock 2023 G80 M3 Competition X-Drive with VSC-2 Valve Controller and ActiveAutowerk Single Midpipe. Enjoy!
I bought this exhaust cuz of this video and boy does it sound even more insane in person. I had complete indecision on what system to go with but the aa single mid in person is nuts and probs one of best sounding systems out there. Don’t do valvetronic designs as it doesn’t sound that good in person and has fitment issues
Both wrong. S58 doesn't sound like the S55 at all. S55 sounds beautiful with AA Resonated Equal length midpipe: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bms1OMjTQJg.html the S58 doesn't have that beautiful smooth inline 6 sound. It can sound good like this video but its still a bit more V6-ish than the S55 with resonated equal length.
Holds the valves open 100% all the time. I would say there is some drone at some RPM's but nothing that bothers me. and if there is I can just close the valves on a longer drive.
Just curious what made you go single vs their new equal length midpipe? I have the G82 and I'm on the fence on which one to get. I heard the single is a little be deeper with less rasp.
