At 7:49 I copied the measurement ID but I saw the following message: "No Google tag found in this container". I failed both of your videos. (earlier I tried to change from Google Analytics. Then I deleted all of my accounts and started from scratch, but then you as a side note skipped the tag manager). I wish Google hadn't overcomplicated things. I just wanted to copy-paste some code snippets into my WordPress theme, to check the audience occasionally. I didn't want to spend 1,5 hours trying to navigate from Google Analytics to GA4 and Tag Manager and 15 different sub-menus... :/
Hi Benjamin! This is super helpful. Thank you so much! However, I got stuck in the part where I'm supposed to choose GA4 configuration. It is no longer an option. It says I must add both Google Tag and Googe Event. Do you have a tutorial for it? Thank you!
How to create report for The criterion is focused on countries with 2,000 to5,000 new users. Using the Google Merchandise store data and the custom date range of January 1 - April 30, 2023.?
Yes sure, you could (should) to use page path and/or page url. Configure / Create Event --> Add parameter as you wish (eg: page_location), and after turn on "Mark as Conversion" switch on Configuer / Events list.
@@OliverMolnar Noted. Just that ive created two such events for the two separate thank-you pages.. but in debug view it recognizes it as purchase when its not supposed to.
@@adammajeed9745 I got it what you mean it: If you create a new event and add a new parameter for "Match conditions" list then you could to delete the first parameter (if you can!). As I understand your problem, you've created two events with same parameter (event_name=purchase + "other conditions"). But if you change event_name to page_view and add another condition (page_location = "thank you URL") then it not will shown as purchased. Did i understand as correctly what you wrote?
@@OliverMolnar so i created a purchase event that matches a page view and page location of /thank-you/. Then I created a generate_lead that contains the page location /quiz-/thank-you/ but in the debug view, it sees it a purchase and generate lead. How can I differentiate between the two thank-you pages.
Benjamin, a question if I may: I activated Google Signals on my GA4 property, and I saw a major drop in users that G4 reports. I saw that is "normal". Any comment on this? Should I keep Google Signal active?
Thank you, Benjamin! So, do you know anything about the differences between real purchases on the e-commerce platform and conversions purchases on GA4? My GA4 is not tracking a hundred percent of the purchases.
@7:11 My tag manager page doesn't look like the one shown in this video. Creating a tag doesn't allow me to select a trigger for the new tag. Is this now redundant or are the instructions in a different location? If so, it would be great if you could update your instructions. EDIT: My bad, I hadn't set up the Container yet. Now it's working...thanks Benjamin.
You can definitely still create triggers in Google Tag Manager. If you email me a screenshot, I’ll try and take a quick look. You can contact me at www.lovesdata.com/contact-us
Hi Benjamin, can you help me with this? What if i create 2 properties in one account from one website? The first one, i use measurement ID in GTM and the second one using code that need to be pasted in head HTML. Is it allowed to do that? or, it will be counted as double?
Thank you very much for this tutorial! This was great. I did have a quick question: Currently on my GA4, my "Traffic Acquisition" sources shows just "Direct", "Referrals", and "Unassigned." It doesn't show other channels such as Email, Social, Organic, etc. My website runs on Bubble and I've added the tracking ID to my Bubble webpage + I've already configured the Google Tag on the page. Might you have an idea when I'm not able to view any other traffic acquisition sources?
Yes, there is a slight change in the setup flow, but the options are the same. And then the standard reports can be different based on your selections during the setup of the property. To get the reports we look at, just select ‘Library’ in the reporting section to adjust things.
Apart from the admin area being reorganized, GA4 hasn’t changed. But if you’re struggling, here’s a tutorial I released last week: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pRKpaZJJRxk.html
There are multiple ways to implement Google Analytics and this was also true for Universal Analytics. GA4 is definitely more flexible, but I agree, this does come with downsides too. For GTM, I suggest this series: ru-vid.com/group/PL1vNrn711L8SnLqvJ_W0sofsVST7ldXXV
