Gabby Douglas was the first woman of colour to win the all around title in gymnastics! Yes Simone Biles did it this year BUT Gabby paved the way for Biles she did it FIRST!

The only U.S. Olympic All-Around Champion who didn't come from a privileged background. Gabby broke so many barriers, and that can never be taken away from her!

I remember this like it was yesterday. History made and destiny fulfilled. Go Gabby!

Simone's got unique/ amazing technique and an incredible floor routine but to me Gabby's MUCH cleaner and perfect at landing (Also her scores were a lil higher not that it matters lol)

She is absolutely amazing and fun to watch! I don't believe however she will come back to claim gold again. 4 years is a life time in Gymnastics. You're body ages and injuries occur and puberty catches up with you (wide hips make turns harder). She is still quite young and will possibly get a medal but Biles looks like she will be our Gold this year. I'm so excited to watch!

Gabby is and will always be special in her field of gymnastics. I thank God for the open door and he did open the door from her and he gave her the talent to succeed in it. So you go fourth Ms Gabby Douglass. God Bless

Estou de férias do trabalho. E algo que sinto falta quando trabalho é de assistir a sessão da tarde. Hoje por sorte assisti o filme sobre esta maravilhosa atleta! Esta garota é resultado de talento, determinação, apoio da família, e de um país onde todos se ajudam em prol do sucesso dos Estados Unidos da América. Não é a Vitória apenas de uma mulher negra, mas sim de uma mulher negra treinada por um técnico chinês, que teve um suporte familiar de uma família branca cristã, que vive num país cristão que desde sua constituição colocou os direitos individuais como relevantes. O Brasil tem muito o que aprender com os EUA.
