Gabby Thomas is such a real, gracious, and genuinely nice person, in addition to being an amazing athlete - it was a pleasure to watch this interview. You go get 'em now in Paris, Ms Gabby !!!
I love watching Gabby run. She is one of my favourite athletes. But I see Sherika winning the Gold in the 200m in Paris. Despite Sherika's time, she is not one you would want to underestimate.
Sherika is obviously the favourite for Paris, but she doesn’t look quite in the shape she was in last year. I think if Gabby can run around her PB of 21.6 in the final she has a good chance of Gold this year. I don’t personally think Sherika will go sub 21.6 next month but she’ll definitely show up on the day and run quick.
@@StGCfiLife She doesn’t look anything like the form she was in the last 2 seasons from what I’ve seen so far though, and even looks a little heavier. She also had to work a little towards end of the race in the Jamaican trials to hold off Lanae-Tava Thomas at a 22.29 SB. I do expect her to be running in the 21.6-21.8 range in Paris though next month.
Love your interviews! Keep up the great work! Question: could you please ask the atheletes about the importance of dietary guidelines, restrictions, etc., etc. In almost every clip I've observed the professional athelets eating on camera they are eating "crap" food?? Example: every time athletes are eathing in the new Netflix Sprint documentary, they are all (internationally as well) eating the worst foods that I've read no top tier athelets eat to perform at that level. I would love to hear about those everyday choices they make in preparation & food has to be up there with one of the most, if not the most important topic. Thanks
I dont agree. Her energy, quips and enthusiasm is what made me watch the full video. Her energy rubbed off on Gabby which is why we got such a bright, fun interview out of her. And she balances the more laid back energy of the co-hosts.
@@humblebeans5511 no I agree, I think there’s definitely a welcomed place for her energy and excitement, especially since they contrast the co-hosts so well. But on that same note, she needs to learn how to mitigate that boisterous energy so that it doesn’t come off as overbearing or take the focus away from the person being interviewed. It’s also worth noting that the contrast between her and her cohosts is only noticeable if you’re listening for all the events. If you mostly tune in for sprints (like me), you’re only treated to Katelyn, and her constant boarder-line screaming. And again, even though sprints are only a quarter of the overall show, it’s likely the main part that ppl listen for, and when you consider that, her volume likely mares most of the listeners’ experiences. At the end of the day, her vibe, relatability and humour are what carry her interviews, not her volume or (hopefully accidental) interruptions.

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
