I don’t know much about H.E.R., but after seeing her parents, it makes total sense as to why she’s so beautiful and talented. African Americans and Filipinos got natural singing abilities and she is a combination of the best out there.

Just watched her take that same confidence out on the Superbowl Stage yesterday with her guitar and blew everyone away. Coincidentally, Alicia Keys was on the same stage only moments before singing this same song! I'd love to have seen what went on behind the scenes!
That is soooo very true! Nonye B. So true...parent's are the first to DIScourage dreams-unfortunately;( I am living proof of this. In retrospect, I didn't want my children to be hurt and/or disappointed. Knowing what I know NOW...I would have nurtured, encouraged and honed their many talents. The vocal "growl" is spectacular & unexpected from such a young singer! 35+yrs in music, I taught vocal technique for a spell & there are a very few who possess the vocal cadence, range, diversity & dynamics at such a young age. MJ & Sammy Davis Jr. were the same.
I'm crying. This is what it means being really good parents and the confidence of H.E.R comes from this, from the education she received. Shd had really the fortune to have these parents. So beautiful , she born with a gift and with the talent to be on stage

Even at 10 it was easy to see she was a little goldmine. Her dad is in a band, and nurtured her talent. She's no different than Bruno Mars, or the Jets. Michael Jackson made his professional debut at 6, and when solo at 13. Everyone may have thought Joe was a good father back then too.

How am I just now seeing this? She's been my favorite female artist since she's come out. That was amazing to watch. I literally had to hold back the tears when she hit that chorus. And to be called little Alicia keys by her friends has got to be the coolest. She's definitely the Princess of RnB.❤
Well this is 2007, when we still had kids/ tweens on magazines and t.v that young people could look up to who look their age/ dress their age. If this was 2016 to now It would of been a different story.
Her piano skills is on point she has a strong voice needs some voice lessons if she taking lessons now she's going to a bad little sister In a few years 💘

Prayers with u and ur family. I can relate. Today is my daughter’s 12th bday. She passed away suddenly unexpectedly at 11 months. This little girl makes me see my daughter who was so wise for her age. Our Loved ones are in definitely a better place now hopefully. And we can rest assured that our higher power has them in his graces.
Look how proud her parents are and they are so humble. Father an iron worker and mother a nursing student. A child with confidence can so very far in this world.
