So good to see Medina when he is focused and inspired. The ISA victory and qualification for the Olympics gave him so much confidence. The most complete surfer in the world in my opinion.

well he's not very good at Jaws, Mavericks, the box, Waimea ,Sunset, Haleiwa compared to JJF he's not that well rounded....

JJF is in another level, no doubt one of my favorites in surfing competition. He has a great soul. But your comment make clear you are a G. Medina hater. Yes, Medina is a pretty complete surfer. Also JJF. In naming the surf breaks on your previous comment, you have to take in consideration that JJF is from Hawaii. Jaws (Maui) is a 35mins Hawaiian Airlines flight from Oahu (His home). Waimea, Sunset, Haleiwa.... All his local breaks in NS of Oahu. This is his duty to surf well on those spots. Gabes home spot is Maresias, a beach break without channel that you have to take heavy bombs in the head to reach the line up on the big swells. Different spots, different skills. I didn't see you mentioning PIPE??? Why? He surfs estremely well Banzai Pipe and have you seen his backhand floater in Sunset Beach? Well, if that's not well rounded you are a hater bro. If I was medina's coach, I'd tell him to keep the airs to 1 per heat, and typically the last maneuver on the wave. Keep the overall surfing on the wave. We know what you can do in the air - it's good stuff. But this is surfing.
