I ori My Roomba arrived Saturday🌼 and I am in love. This is machine's cleaning ability exceeded my expectations. I have 2 house cats, one of which is a long hair. The Roomba handled the cat hair no with problem. I was shocked how much hair was picked up on my (I thought) pretty clean floors.
Those triangle head screws will come clean out using a 2.0mm flat head screwdriver without stripping the head. You are a lot more likely to have that flathead and I and I am telling this from experience!
I fixed many roombas and the bumper switches are not the metal "spring" lever you showed us ;) most repairs were for the ir led inside the bumpers switches, the IR receivers were designed to have early defect ...
the receivers are most of the time ok, the infra LEDs or the emittors are usually bad. And they are not made to broke after few uses, they are actually pretty high quality, but they just sometimes burn, it is same like with the LED bulbs, where are lots of LEDs, and after many uses some of the LEDs just burns, so there are few black spots in the bulb.
I purchased my Roomba 880 exactly 2 yrs and 8 moths ago. I have hardwood floors only. The front caster wheel just broke; other than that, I've had no problems. It still cleans great. My question is, when should I replace my debris extractor rollers? What do I look for besides not cleaning properly. It's been almost 3 years since I purchased and I've read somewhere you should replace every 6 months. Is that correct or is it when they actually get worn down?
