I also showed up to Ranger School at 6’5, left at about 5’9 and never gained those inches back. Apparently my height loss wasn’t service related. Truly humbling experience 🤣
@@technician122they couldn't marry until age 40, and their children were prohibited from becoming jannisarries also. Havent read about any castration but that doesn't mean it didnt happen 🤷♂️
I somehow came back weighing the exact same. However, everyone said I looked like I lost a lot of weight. I could definitely see and feel a difference. I was skinny fat.
Is it common for a lot of the Rangers that are officers to be so young? I keep seeing clips of 1st and 2nd LT's looking like they are in their early-mid twenties. Is that common?
Yes, most Lieutenants are commissioned right after graduation from college. Some of them are accepted and complete Ranger school as Cadets after their Junior year as well.
Other countries often send people to our schools for top notch training, especially Ranger School since it's considered a leadership school. I'm just surprised & interested why he's not wearing a Greek uniform.
Its the summer uniform. The regular uniform has front pockets. Most units don't care which uniform you choose to wear. They issue 2 Regular and 2 Summer uniforms straight from bootcamp.
They typically run a handful of soldiers from other countries. We generally help train soldiers of all types from all over the world. I'm sure our guys do a good bit of various training abroad, as well.
It’s the sacrifice these rangers have to sadly take but your body remembers muscle and I guarantee if they started lifting and eating steaks they would go up 40 in a couple of months.
It’s ranger school not RASP. Most of them aren’t rangers or going to be. Just getting the ranger tab. That doesn’t make you a ranger. Unless you know them you wouldn’t really know 🤷🏻♂️.
You are clueless. Elite/Special forces guys are humble guys with no ego. "Just doing my job". Team players. Intelligent with empathy. Hollywood has lied to you all these years, sorry.
