In this video, I discuss and demonstrate the steps to gain access to the hidden service menu with the new webOS. I am in no way advocating that anyone try this and this video was for entertainment purposes only.
At about 15:30 into the video, there were two options, and the rest of the video showed that following the first option led to a factory reset? What about following the 2nd option (pressing the Green key 7 times)? Maybe that restarts with the user seetings intact.
I can access service menus on most tvs, including my LG tvs with my old Logitech Harmony 650 remote easily. I have an LG 50" 50UQ7570PUJ US model and i want to enable recording ATSC/antenna programming to a USB drive. Im pretty sure it can be done somehow, om just afraid ill screw it up. I think the secret lies in ToolOPT6 country code number. Need to change it to a mexican model code or somewhere you are allowed to record to USB from the TV itself.
Hello G2 owner here. I have a service remote and previously had TPC and GSR settings off wanted to turn off dimming. Made the same mistake as you did at the end of your video went to double check and now both of those settings always reset to ON. 😭 can’t kick the tv out of factory mode without them reverting back.

1126 work as well In the service menu. And the big problem is wen u turn off the tv that the part u know u mess up ur tv depend on what u change. Lol😁😆 my best focus in the service menu is area option I study that part like my handback. 😎
Yes, theres always a risk with the new updates. But relating to this dimming issue, would it be even better now to update if you will get these dimming settings off without having to access the service menu? Or is there something im missing?
