Gaither Homecoming singer/comedian Mark Lowry at the Tracy Stuffle benefit concert 

I can’t count the number of times I have watched this video. Just like tonight, when my heart is broken and I’m trying to cling to life, I’m watching and listening to Mark and remembering life lessons and the joy that only the Lord can bring. Thank you Mark for your testimony and endless love for our Lord.

OM, you are something else, Mark! This is why we all love you, haha! We just never know what is going to come out of your mouth… only God knows and uses it all for His Glory 🙏🏻❤️ Amen!

I agree with Paul Johnston. Mark Lowry is one of God's tools. He touches people with his humility and his humor and he brings them to The Lord. Our pastor is very funny and very likable too but he glows with the light of the spirit. He uses humor to help us relate to the stories in The Bible. Mark does the same thing. In case you didn't notice, he makes light of himself more than anyone else. I don't think God wants us to be solemn and serious all the time. Humor is a gift; why not use it for a good reason? Laughter is healthy and necessary to sustain life. Lighten up and enjoy life! Proverbs 17:22 - A merry heart doeth good [like] a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Matthew 7:1-3, (KJV) 1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

What a blessing this man is! Mark you are a welcomed relief and much needed in the body of Christ. Again, sincere apologies for Houston's "Shepard Drive". I just had someone plow into my car, Shepard at Westheimer. Roads all around River Oaks, St.Thomas and Upper Kirby hv been strangely neglected by the city for years. Go figure. I was the bus driver when my older daughter was 4 and in Head Start. We went to the Zoo in Springfield MO on a field trip. Loading up to go home there were 8 ladies gathering up the children. My job was to sit in the bus and wait. After everyone was in the teacher counted and said all were on board. We went back to the school where several had to go to the bathroom. Finally back on the road with a Grandma who was handing out a paper to some of the children. She put them in order by bus stop and asked "Where's Racheal?" My child! I panicked. Kids were searching the bus, even under the seats. She wasn't there! We went back to the school. She wasn't there! They said she must be at the zoo. They would find her. I drove away sobbing. There was a road all the way around the playground where she was playing and a lake on the other side of the road. Death, death, death for my four year old! I drove my route sobbing all the way. Children asked if I was crying. I said yes I don't know where Racheal is and little 3&4 year olds tried to comfort me. I got back to the school before the teachers. A student's Mom was waiting for me. She sat in my car to comfort me. They were bringing Racheal home. When they arrived she was chewing gum and eating an ice cream cone, smiling. I said beat her, make her cry, I've cried enough! Then I grabbed her in a fierce hug and cried and cried. She said she stayed on purpose because she wasn't finished playing.

As he grows older, Mark is becoming more and more irreverent. 1) He uses God's name in vain just to get a laugh (Exodus 20:7). 2) He accuses Jesus of providing beverage that the Old Testament describes as "bit[ing] like a serpent, and sting[ing] like an adder" (Proverbs 23:32). 3) He makes light of the Catholic's Mariolatry and his own profanity. Let's face it: this man is an entertainer--he'll do anything for a laugh.
