A drug addict I was till I found my strength in Jesus. The Holy Spirit delivers. I have beat a 17 year prescription drug addiction I've been clean for 3.5 years. Our God Reigns
I grew up in an Adventist home and my auntie's sung in choirs/chorales/accapella groups and still they play these songs every morning by gaither vocal band to jump start us each morning ....I love you and your ministry .
"God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Thank You Jesus for this wonderful song reminding us of the Love of God! 🙏 ❤️
Desde Chile con todo mi cariño los sigo y los amo son una gran bendición para mi vida …gracias por disponer su don a la obra del Señor Dios les siga bendiciendo ♥️
The love of God is the opposite of reckless. He is deliberate in everything he does. His grace is abundant and sufficient. It’s overwhelming. It’s not reckless or careless.
Reckless here being used in the sense that GOD would do anything, even to the point of putting himself at risk (Jesus' death) to show His love for us. He placed His reputation on the line to show us that He would do or give anything even His Son's life to save us. To that I say, Thank you, Father,Son and Holy Ghost for going to the most dangerous, risky length to save me!
@@Mark-sj3xb He put His name, reputation, love for His only son when He sent him to die for us. That's why the song suggests that there's nothing, even dangerous heights or depths to come after and save His wayward children. He laid it all on the line. If that isn't reckless love, I don't know what is. I would imagine that even the angels must have wondered for a moment, why He would go to such lengths to save a fallen race. As much as I don't like to think about what Jesus went through on the cross, I am so glad He did.
I love this song! There is nothing that can stop Jesus from loving his children. Not a serpent, Pharaoh, Red Sea, King, man, woman, cross, whatever! Hallelujah!💕✝️
I’m always loving how Gaither’s Band turns any song to a-soul-winning song with their angelic voices. What a blessing you guys are. God’s blessings remains with y’all always in Jesus Mighty Name. Keep ministering in songs guys.
Before I spoke a word You were singing over me You have been so, so good to me Before I took a breath You breathed your life in me You have been so, so kind to me Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending Reckless love of God Oh, it chases me down Fights 'til I'm found Leaves the ninety-nine I couldn't earn it And I don't deserve it Still you give yourself away Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending Reckless love of God When I was your foe, still Your love fought for me You have been so, so good to me When I felt no worth You paid it all for me You have been so, so kind to me Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending Reckless love of God Oh, it chases me down Fights 'til I'm found Leaves the ninety-nine I couldn't earn it And I don't deserve it Still you give yourself away Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending Reckless love of God There's no shadow You won't light up Mountain You won't climb up Coming after me There's no wall You won't kick down Lie You won't tear down Coming after me Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending Reckless love of God Oh, it chases me down Fights 'til I'm found Leaves the ninety-nine I couldn't earn it And I don't deserve it Still you give yourself away Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending Reckless love of God
Wow!! I needed this song this morning!!! I have been dealing with a very difficult person that I happen to live with. I have prayed and pray for resolution, yet nothing has come. Thank you dear Lord, that nothing can separate me from Your consuming, reckless love for me!!!!! I was really struggling this morning---I just needed reminding!!! Feel "reckless can be another word for uncompromising, or never ending love --we can't begin to comprehend God's love for us---God sings and dances over us!!! Zephaniah.
Don't give up sweetheart....I fully understand this struggle in addition to a lifetime of fighting depression/anxiety...I told our Father I will wait for Him until He comes....Love and compassion in Jesus, you are not Alone!
@@ednaselm I too suffer from anxiety and depression and am surrounded by difficult people don't live with them though thank you Lord for telling me of your overwhelming love for each and every person. We must never give up. If it hadn't been for God I wouldn't be here
@@wendywilkins6841 We will wait together in Spirit for our Father and Lord...If it was not for my promise to God I would not be here...2015 was the last time I sought help for self harming thoughts...I promised God I would wait to hear, "well done thou good and faithful servant enter thou into the joy of thy lord." @@wendywilkins6841 Love to you my sister, I don't connect with many people but there is a kindred Spirit here...I will pray for our strength when we feel overwhelmed....Take Care!
God is Love and Truth, but our enemy loves to lie, cheat and steal. So, let us test all things and only accept what we know is true, because our eternal lives depend upon correct discernment and real Faith in God and the Gospel of Grace and Truth, found only in our only Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 🙏
Tears welled up my eyes when he sung "there's no shadow you wont light up mountain you wont climb comin after me" and it gives me hope that as much as there maybe darkness today in my life its gonna be okay soneday 🥺
One of my favorite songs! Course when GVB does it up it kicks it up a few notches as well because of their heart and excellence in presentation, harmony, sound and relevant anointing! ❤️❤️❤️ They can never get it wrong!
I thought that way about this song when I first heard it as well! But God’s love is reckless in that He still gave it to us while we were yet sinners. He gave it to us knowing that we don’t deserve it, that we would mess up, stumble, fall, misuse it and not understand it! It’s beyond human comprehension. So while we may not like our human definition of “reckless” it is in essence exactly the kind of love that is poured out upon those He called to Himself before we ever knew we were being called!
@@LionFireIntLFIM with all due respect I cannot disagree with you more. This is the Merriam-Webster definition of the word reckless, copied and pasted exactly as it appears on the internet: 1: marked by lack of proper caution : careless of consequences 2: IRRESPONSIBLE What you have described is Mercy and Grace. Mercy being: not receiving what is deserved (destruction) and Grace being: receiving what is not deserved (His salvation). In attributing recklessness as a characteristic of God's love you are attributing recklessness as a general characteristic of God Himself. I see nothing in the Bible that can be even loosely interpreted as God being marked by a lack of proper caution and/or careless of consequences, or irresponsible. These are attributes of the imperfect gods of a humanist world. I neither like nor dislike the human definition of reckless. It is what it is. But what it "isn't" is an attribute of our Holy God. We have the only perfect God! Standing before God, we each will answer for every word that has come forth from our mouth. I'm sure I've got plenty I'm going to answer for but calling God reckless is not going to be one of them.
@@mikeslater6246 you are still thinking from an earthly perspective of the word reckless. Our English definition definitely can’t explain the true reckless of God. God loved and is continuing to love us no matter the consequences no matter the circumstances no matter what we do he still loves us. Why? Because God is love and that is what he does he loves unconditionally. He loves without caution. He loves without needed a reason. He loves because he is the full embodiment of Love. The Webster dictionary version of the word reckless makes it a bad thing but being reckless with love is definitely not a bad thing because it is an uncontrollable uncontainable unconditional love that surpasses all earthly stupidity and surpasses the earthly mind to get to the spirit.
@@garrywood3004 since you're making up your own definition of reckless, I'm guessing that the rest of the words in your comment are also your own definitions. So there's no way I can understand what you truly mean. That's part of the difficulty in the world today. Everybody wants to make up their own meanings to everything. That doesn't work when you're trying to communicate your thoughts. And definitely confuses things when you're trying to share the love of God. The use of reckless in this song is not a biblical definition of God's love!
Guy what they are saying is how powerful gods love he forgives our sins,😇😇🙏he protected us 🫂he even loves us💖💖💖💖with all his heart and we did nothing but reckless and he still forgives us that's how big God heart is "Amen"🙏👼💖❤❤may God bless you good bye
Amazing! Just amazing. What a way to praise God! The vocals (each of your soloists in your own right), the harmonies, the blend, the arrangements, the band - all impeccable! I love that I can hear each one of you and understand your words. God has to be smiling down on you all! Thank you for sharing your beautiful talents with all of us!
No matter how beautiful the music may sound ,one word can make it non. God's love is not "Reckless"! This word is exactly what it means. Remember how Satan tricked or lied to Eve. The truth is, God knows all.
I agree, truth mixed with a lie sells , we really need to be careful in these last days , the Bible is so clear , that even the elect will be deceived, that’s why that path is so narrow and so many will not be on the rolls on that day

Oh the overwhelming never ending reckless and precious love of Our Lord! It’s not recklessness in carelessness but His love is so pure and good He will move literal mountains for us! Glory be to Yahweh Elohim!
With all due respect, I do understand where you're coming from in that it is a beautifully written song, except for the word reckless. Carelessness is the exact definition of recklessness. God cannot be reckless, He's perfect.
@@mikeslater6246 He is certainly perfect in all his ways, i believe Cory explained it as the world also calling him reckless for what they don’t understand. We know it not to be as believers!
@@ScoobyandShaggy5554 thanks for the additional explanation. I believe that many of the people who would use the term reckless and relate it to God are doing so because of the youngness of their walk. As Hebrews and 1st Corinthians describe the milk drinkers in the faith, these believers are saved as all of us are but may not understand as much about God and the Bible as they will in the future. I am in no way saying that I fully understand or will ever fully understand God or the Bible. But a basic lack of understanding about the attributes of God as found in many new and young believers does not affect their salvation but it can injure their Witness which might create a failed opportunity in introducing non-believers to God and his Son Jesus. Thanks for the conversation and have a blessed day.
What a great message for these times, reminding us of the "Prodigal Father", whose love never ends and never stops giving up on us. Love the genre, great harmony and enthusiasm. The Gaither Vocal Band is alive with the message of love and hope for all. Thank you for the captions for the deaf and octogenarians like me, who are a tad hard of hearing, so we can see the special lyrics most folk hear. God bless your great work. Lyn Lockrey, Australia.
Been a GVB fan since the beginning and am delighted that they are choosing to make their mark in the Praise & Worship genre. Now in their 41st year of existence this particular chemistry of singers is among the best. These men are incredibly gifted and it is obvious that at this time, with this new project, they are choosing to reach out to a hurting world. 👏
If all of humanity shared the love for each other that this group has shared we would be better off....Their compassion for God, music and each other is comforting....Our God is coming....I am trying to hang on! Lord have mercy....
OMG!!!! It has been a dream for me to see the Gaither Vocal Band live so I can experience this God blessed talent first hand, I am tremendously blessed each time I listen to you guys..... Lord I pray again that this dream will indeed come to fruition!!!!! GVB may the Lord of Heaven, Jesus Christ, continue to bless you guys richly..
The original writer or singer explains what he means by reckless (without regard to consequences-- His death.) But still could have chosen a different word: boundless, selfless, etc.
@@sandramorning8901 It's not critical. It's Biblically wrong. The song writer's explanation demeans to Bible's character of God. I enjoy listening to the Gaithers, but this is one cover they should have skipped. Good music doesn't overcome doctrinal issues.
@@benjaminleiby1603 reckless : def.- "marked by lack of proper caution : careless of consequences." God loves us unconditionally knowing full well that most will not love Him back, obey his commandments, or follow His plan of salvation. He loves all in spite of those faults. It doesn't mean there aren't consequences for our actions and sins, but He loves everyone regardless. Just like a father still loves a child who is disobedient. Read those red words...."and if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray." "I say unto, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance." but here's a question, how many people can you name that need no repentance? I can think of only one. That word fits the love of God biblically.
Reckless love can also translate to crazy love. It’s not literal it’s a figure of speech. God will leave 99 sheep to chase after 1 lost sheep because His love is beyond human comprehension!
What a powerful song of God. For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only begotten son that whosever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
