Since Cleopatra was in fact Hellenic aka Greek, I see no problem with Gal playing her. This looks good, if uninformed about the original movie I'd probably think it to be real

Love Gal Gadot, but this was almost an insult to Liz's performance. Some thing should just never be f*cked with. Gal Gadot did a phenomenal job with resurrecting Wonder Woman where many others crashed and burned. However, everything she's done since has bombed. Death on the Nile? OMG, soooo bad. I'm not hopeful her as Cleopatra will be any better. She needs to seek out new material, not relying on the past to push her career forward. Beautiful woman, obviously has the acting chops...just needs better scripts.

I find it quiet extraordinary how Hollywood opted for an Israeli actress to play the Egyptian Queen out of all other nations and nationality and quiet ironic really especially when considering the existing and eternal animosity BETWEEN Arabs and Israeli an animosity that better left be untouched because it runs deeper than anyone could ever imagine outside of those two brackets!!! On the hand Hollywood should've seriously considered being original and given the role to an Egyptian actress from the same flesh and blood of Cleopatra and modern day Egyptians resemble the ancient ones from 3D image reconstruction applied on mummies that showed present day Egyptians share the same eyes and bone structure plus features to thier ancestors so considering an Egyptian actress for the role should've been Hollywood's number one priority especially when also considering the fact that Egypt have plenty of high level actors and actress down the years also by virtue of the other fact Egypt are infact The Hollywood of the ME and if some ignorants wish to disregard that fact so be it yet they all stand if you're familiar with that part of the world and its heritage ...
