R.I.P David Prowse for giving the final stage of this character life, you will be missed, across the stars and throughout all galaxies known and unknown
Whatever might one say. Prequels tell a great story, they have great soundtrack and this is an awesome upgrade of an already epic music. Unlimited powah!
Cette musique illustre un amour beau mais tragique. La Prelogie étant une trilogie tragique. La Trilogie est son antithèse, et la Postlogie... Entre le dramatique et la comédie
I know I am a little late to this party. This is one of my favorite pieces from the whole saga. And I'm crying over my wife who i cant see right now because she is in a different state under lockdown. It's two of our favorite things. Metal and starwars. Aside from the star wars you guys are seriously one of the most tasteful and well put together bands I have ever heard. Thank you for existing.
The words I say to my wife any time I hear this music: "I will be the most powerful Jedi ever. I promise you. I will even learn to stop people from dying!"
I think this song really does a phenomenal job at encompassing the tragic nature of Anakin and padmes love for one another. A nice romantic ballad gradually drowned out by the march of war until at the peak all you hear is the course rhythm of violence, but once it's over and the dust settles there's that sweet ballad, but this time, hollow, sad, and isolated.
well that's not so far fetched, is it? Electric guitars are still stringed instruments and the prolonged decay and sustain actually lends itself quite well. Especially if you combine it with as many layers of guitars and harmonies as done here. It's basically the same thing just with a different sound and heavy ass drums underneath lol
Never mind! Found it on iTunes, bought the Galactic Empire Album on the spot 😃👍. I'll be the one commuting to work and back in my red "Landspeeder", with Galactic Empire music blasting out of my ride! Happy days! Who would have guessed I'd still be hooked on Star Wars, since first hearing the theme on the radio back in 1977? 😃
I've been *dying* to hear this since I discovered it was going to be on the album...I am not at all disappointed! :D I *love* this! Thank you so much for getting me hyped up for May the 4th this year...it's been a rough start to my week, i really needed to be surrounded by awesomeness 🖤
Forbiddinq Gamer the films might not have lived up to what Star Wars can be, but to me, the heart and soul of Star Wars has always been Williams' music. You can say what you like about the prequel films, but they produced some of Williams best music. This and Duel of the Fates are untouchable
Prequels are not bad, stop repeating what haters say. They lived up to their reputation as Star Wars films. They explained what happened before Episode IV, added so much to the mythos, and inspired a ton of Expanded Universe material. The true ability of the Jedi are shown in the Prequels through superior lightsaber choreography and Force abilities, something that the Original Trilogy was lacking in. John Williams composed some of his best Star Wars music during the Prequel era: Duel of the Fates, Battle of the Heroes, Across the Stars, Droid Invasion, etc. If you want to see actual bad movies, there are a lot of them; The Last Jedi being one. I guarantee you, very few people outside of America & UK hate the Prequels, but instead hate the Sequels for being copycats and lore destroying movies.
OniJon so george lucas's writing does not look like george lucas? You just say that now. Even though Lucas sold the lucasarts to Disney and others sorted these movies, they were written on the basis of Lucas's writings, the directors only performed. The new trilogy of the preguels and the original trilogy is neither better nor worse than the other. Simplally, they had to make separate trilogys for another generation. You're wrong about that. There is no such a thing as garbage in them!
