A drum cover of Galactic Funk from Casiopea's "5 Stars Tour" Live concert featuring Akira Jimbo and Hiroyuki Noritake as "Synchronised DNA" - performed on the 30th July 2005.
This song was really fun to play, and is probably my favourite version of Galactic Funk, with my favourite solos out of all of them. I especially love the synth solo, Minoru Mukaiya absolutely killed it in this concert. This song also features a fairly long drum solo, so with that being said, I hope you enjoy my drum cover of this amazing tune :).
Use headphones or good speakers for the best sound experience.
BAND:
Gtr. Issei Noro
Bass. Yoshihiro Naruse
Keys. Minoru Mukaiya
Dr 1. Akira Jimbo
Dr 2. Hiroyuki Noritake
UPDATE:
If my recordings now sound a lot better than they used to, its because of my new mic setup! Here's a short rundown of my setup:
- Zoom H4n Pro - Between floor toms and kick, providing good floor tom low end and stereo separation between floor toms and snare
- Shure SM58 connected to input 1 of the H4n Pro - Between snare & rack toms, just next to and in front of the kick batter - providing a good snare drum "crack" and body to the rack toms
- Samsung Galaxy S9+ camera audio - for ambience and cymbals.
