4 years later and this is still the best travel channel I’ve discovered. I love how real and funny you both are, and there’s never any clickbait or cringy RU-vid influencer vibes. I honestly cannot find another channel like yours (I’ve been trying to find videos for Guatemala). Anyways, just wanted to show some love.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap Very cool adventure. Sarah's impression's of the booby birds and the other wild life were priceless and of course getting shit faced just made this video so much more enjoyable!
Great video, thank you so much, I love the fact thta you speak natural, no blog acting, the clips show things as they are, real, not enhanced. We are travelling to Ecuador next year, so your tips are awesome. The costs details, again fantastic. Thannnk you. If possible we have some questions, I understand you bought the cruise in mainland, could you share where? How and where did you arrange your hotel? Which time of the year did you go? Thanks again
Oh, I love the iguanas and the turtles...the sharks however...so, so but yes the turtles and their small heads...like a periscope on a submarine .. so lovely ...😊
OMG... This is an awesome video... So great to hear commentary from Sarah as well... You guys should break out the suds together for all your videos from now on... 😂😂😂🍺🍺🍺
I actually tried something like this before but we both drank, and I ended up with an hour of video, but only 2 minutes of it was usable. The rest was just sloppy.
It was a dream come true for Sara. She told me she dreamt of going there as a little girl growing up in a poor town in England, but she never thought she'd be able to do it.
Talking about the seas turtles, she made that 'pshh' sound and described the feeling and I was there 😌 I've always wanted to go to the Galapagos islands and this just made me even more motivated. Thank you!
Looks amazing but your prices are very different from what I am seeing trying to plan a trip from the USA for May. Least expensive cruise for 3 nights is a LOT more like $2,500pp now. Thank you for the comparison and tips.
Hi. Great info. Thanks. We are looking into a 5 day cruise. I looked up Galagent and their prices mentioned on their web site were more than double what you mentioned. Did you book last minute to get that rate? Do you think they give a better rate from an in-country URL? Do you think we should try to book one from Quito once we arrive or try one of the local cruises offered once we get to an island?
We got a good deal because of covid. You'll definitely get a better price in Puerto Ayora, but there's no guarantee that there will be space on the days you'll need it. If there isn't, you can do day trips, but the cruise would be much better, for the reasons I mentioned in the video. I don't know what to tell you. I'm surprised their prices have gone back up that much. Try these sites: www.dealsgalapagos.com/galapagos-last-minute-deals.html www.galapagoslastminutes.com/ www.galapagoscruiselinks.com/ www.galapagoslastminute.net/Last%20Minute.html
Hi ! Say you book a cruise with a flight included, but you also want a few days land based. How do you deal with the flight ? You can push it back ? Thank you !
Love your videos! Please keep them coming. We look for your videos each night to keep us informed. I'm moving to Quito with my family in 2023. It would be great if you could teach us the best way to bank. Easiest, low cost way to wire funds. Best cc etc.,
I'm not the best person to ask. I don't even have a bank account in Ecuador. This Facebook group should be able to answer most your questions. facebook.com/groups/EcuadorExpats/?ref=share
Im going in September this video is amazing, I’m going with my husband and my three little Ones. I’m just a little concerned about my kids I have a 6 year old 2 year old and at the time we travel I will have a 5 month old. Will we still be able to enjoy the beauties of galapagos
Great summary... we got screwed on our trip pre covid... booked a 5 day tour that flew in 6pm day 1 and flew out at 6am day 5 ... so yeah, kinda ruined the whole trip once we realised too late... something for others to watch out for. The cruise looks like a way better option than being rushed around. What was the name of the Cruise ship ( boat?) and the hotel you stayed in?
Cruise was Bonita by Galagent. Guesthouse was called Morning Glory. Our cruise was called a 4 day cruise but it was really 2 full days plus an afternoon and just a breakfast on they last day.
Thank you so much for such detailed information for Galapagos. I learned a lot from your channel. We are from Canada and plan to visit Galapagos in June. May I ask you two questions: 1) Did you cover Tortuga Bay/Laguna, and las Grietas in one day? 2) Can you share your cruise booking information? I want to book everything in advance. Thanks
Another fab film. I am off to Quito in two days then in 12 days off to the Jellypus islands and weirdly before I even saw your video I had already booked the Morning glory hostel. Looks good. Probably chose it because it is cheap and near the beach though, so it is not so much a coincidence. Your wife is a drunk by the way and you have worn the same shirt for 400 videos. Only joking you are both sooooo cool. lol- How else would we recognize you if you didn't wear that lovely check shirt and it is so nice to know there is another woman just like me. slurp.
Haha. I think it was that iguana ipa. It must have real iguana blood in it. We used www.galagents.com/ to book the cruise. I contacted them a month before we wanted to go and they had some last minute deals.
F-ing hilarious! Sara is a lightweight! I thought y'all Canadians could drink!. Hammerhead shark? how many beers did you have before you think you saw it? Are you sure you were in the right area for them? If I saw one I would have peed in the water for sure....It would be great if you mentioned your cruise operator and name of your B&B
Thanks! Sara was born in England, so she didn't inherit the Canadian drinking abilities. Don't make me question that shark. I saw it! The cruise was by Galagent and the boat was Bonita. I was thoroughly impressed by them. Guesthouse was called Morning Glory.
Warren I'm not spelling that correct, c Fat blonde poiny tale guy,s Galapagos travel video said no your for less then a thousand and a good tour was 2 thousand I double checked so please tell me is this possible cuz covid or is he full of it? I'm from Niagara falls and just love ur sense of humor and sarcasm thx
No es necesario de sus burlas x hacer comentarios que ha usted no lo vean como pregunta. Hay personas que estamos interesadas en Ciencias y estudiamos .😁😁
Overall this was a great "tour" of what to expect at the Galapagos. I found the women a little annoying. Her getting up and down, drinking, eating, licking her fingers, and playing with her phone really distracted from the overall quality of the video.
