Saw this is my recommendeds and I have to say, you did a fantastic job! As someone who went in only being familiar with the first two games, it was great to hear not only about the various other installments, but the wide variety of ports and fan works from many perspectives. Yeah, im still very much sitting in a games room holidaying im 14 its 1985 i had just seen the movie the last star fighter, and there is galaga playing its theme song showing the highest scores, you know the one, then the name entry music begins....! what a very beautiful package of a game. WOW... it will live with me the rest of my life.
Great video! Did you know that the enemy palette in Gaplus changes every 10 (I think) levels? I would have liked if they just kept one more colorful palette, though.
I think that Bosconian is the true sequel to Galaga. If you notice, one of the stages of Galaga '88 has a picture of the Orbitals or space stations in Bosconian.

My Summarization of Galaga Revenge: Galaga, but with Anime I will say though that I have played Galaga, Galaga 88 (My Personal Favorite), Galaga Arrangement (The 1995 version because the newer version is not good in my opinion.), Galaga Legions, and Galaga Wars. I'm also very happy after purchasing Namco Museum for the Nintendo Switch, to find that Galaga 88 is on there!
I have play Galaxian, Galaga, Galaga’88, and Galaga Arrangement. Great space shooting games, very great. But there’s one space shooting game that I always wanna try to play and it is brought you by the Galaga series, it’s Cosmo Gang: The Video.
I kind of kept referring to it as a Galaxip because none of the games went out of their way to correct me, but yes, you're right. There's also the Blast Fighter in G88 and...whatever the heck they call the thing in Gaplus.
That's the arrange mode from the X68000 version! I believe there are a few other Namco games represented as well, but my memory is a little hazy. Worth playing if you get the chance.

Galaxian is a definitive classic, but its sound effects are a bit irritating. I often avoid it when given the choice (In my opinion Galaga and Gaplus are much better)
