@@calvingreen7197 Im running the march security update that was said containing a camera improvement on my s20 ultra and the autofocus is a joke! I'm extremely disappointed that a device this expensive , and especially how it was marketed, has this fundamental issue. I fear that a software update won't fix this since the problem seems to be connected to the 108 Megapixel lense that uses another autoficus method compared to the s20 and the s20+. Am about to get rid of my pixel 4 but this result of the Ultra I'll consider keeping the pixel and might instead rid myself of the ultra before prices start dropping like a stone which I think will happen soon unless a camera fix comes very soon.
Iphone: Keeping their updates for 5 years Yet slowing down the old models. Samsung: Keeping their updates for 2 years. Battery drains fast compare to the out of the box os version. Me: 🙄🙄🙄
Hi, great review, I had the Asus ROG phone 2 and I sold it and bought the Galaxy S20 Ultra, In my opinion it's incomparable, the ROG doesn't have VOLTE no VOWIFI the fingerprint scanner is much better on the Samsung and the battery drain on the Rog is awful, the Samsung camera is also wayyyy better.
I'm not sure this dude knows wtf he's taking about, my wife has a note 9 and I have a note 10 plus and they both work flawlessly, I think he just says stupid shit to be dramatic. I don't trust a word he says honestly.
Honestly, I don't get the hype of all these cameras. I'm not a pro photographer, most people aren't. Just give us a single good camera on the back and one selfie cam. Make the phone itself better not just mostly the camera

The camera has big focus issues and at the moment not worth the high price. Hopefully they will improve it with updates, otherwise is total waste of money
Samsung fumbled the bag with the S20 series, I don't know why everyone is fawning over it. I'm glad I switched to Huawei with the P20 Pro, and honestly, I don't see myself going back. Huawei truly cares to push the camera hardware further, without the bugs and glitches.

S Korea had the camera update already and AF is not fixed. The general consensus that it is a hardware issue and broke. As it stands the AF issue is still a problem. I am sure if Samsung solves it we will be told by influencers, but ATM if you buy the Ultra you are getting sub-standard video.

Korea got an update yes but it doesn't mean that was the update to fix all the camera issues. More updates will be released & Samsung WILL fix the autofocus issue. If they don't they would be obligated to refund every person who bought an s20 Ultra because it means they knowingly sold defective phones that they knew was never going to work properly.
This phone has alot of great sounding spec but apart from the screen nd slight performance boost it a pretty average device. The camera has a hardware limitation nd those megapixels aren't working very well in their favour. I think they should've just made larger sensors !!!! I love Samsung to death but I really think their advertising is a little excessive. Kinda disappointed because I thought those megapixels would blow away all the competition but meh. Conclusion: Very good device, almost perfect in my opinion. Just needs a few polishing updates. Love your vids Gizmoslip Keep up the good work !!!
They did make a larger sensor which is 108 mp which is designed for pixel binning to create larger pixel microns from .8 to 2.4 or something like that. The sensor was to big to use dpaf hence the trash pdaf. From what I've been seeing the 20+ has a big Sony sensor as well just not as a big and dpaf which means autofocus will be better unless you're using 64mp which is also pdaf.
Even tho samsung has the hardware it’s really useless when you have a trash software unlike apple th 12 mp photo can be compared to a 108 and even a bit better but the advantage would once you crop in
Anyone else notice that when trying to use 120hz the font sizes in certain apps overlaps the screen? That being said I feel like its a sin to not use this display in full 1440p resolution...the 120hz is a bit of a gimmick with the snappy touch response this phone already has. 1440p>>>>120hz any day.
I can tell you after comparing the note 10 to the s20 ultra front camera , it's night and day, the note 10 front camera Completely blows it away it far sharper, with much better detail, 40 megapixel is nothing for a marketing gimmick.. And the l08 megapixel rear camera disgusting, it's definitely not very sharp and clear, and there's lots of focusing problems... totally outrageous price....
@@Displays.1234. In Pro mode all photo modifications are disabled. And in normal mode you have a beauty slide you can change goes from Beauty-Slightly Better-Natural. It's not even hard bro go bother someone else
lots of new technology is expensive, what do u expect. Like 5G and 8K camera, not useful at this moment but that research will be very useful in the future
@@footballtalk4857 no, 5G it's last year's technology, high refresh came in 2018, "8k video" it's bad and only at 24frames/sec. The periscope camera was launched by oppo in 2018. Nothing new, just cash grab. And u all fanboys are making up excuses for greedy corporation.
My house hold is all iPhone I'm the only one with the s20 ultra and I'm glad cause no one takes my phn charger any longer. But I love this phn still learning the tips
If you're like me and have a Note 10 Plus, keep it because there is no good reason to upgrade to the S20 UNLESS you are a camera fanatic or REALLY need that 120 Hertz display
