@@AlainReyes I'm a born American and I've only heard or read "say less" a few times, and only in the last few years. I'm still not even sure if it means the same thing as "say no more".
Who cares about plastic back phones when everyone uses case anyway. I never saw in my life someone using his phone without case. Plastic back everything!
@@atifahmed619 you gotta admit.. phones actually feels better without a case, but most of us have butter fingers. Still, I love the raw feel of phones, they feel awesome without any cheap silicone or plastic
The display on the S 21 causes white spots in my vision and pain in my eyes within about 20 minutes. The display on my S-10 I could stare at for 6 hours with no problems.
It's pretty simple IMHO. Small limbo with some props, slider movement + adjustable lighting + masking + animation effects.. not that hard to make if you're familiar with video production/ editing
Ya, it's gotten to the point where the thinner bezels and hole punch design is present on like 80% of flagship Android phones. Even the iPhones have over 6-7 phones with the same front design.
@@sethboeckx9773 maybe but as europeans we still have to pay a bit more compared to the base NA price because of taxes AND we get the stupidly bad exynos version :(
Switched to an S21 after being an iPhone user since 2018, I've realised how much better anroid is and what I was missing out on, most people who bully android are clearly people who have never tried android and see it as inferior as they think of android as cheap so they buy an iPhone. The amount of features you get over IOS is amazing!
I went, some years ago, to Android. Still found it super weird Android stutters sometimes. The iPhone never did almost for years. I also didn't think Android was anything special, other than me being able to change the launcher, I wasn't missing anything. However, this year I might give it another go with an S21, we'll see.
This is very helpful. I get overwhelmed looking at phones, and this review covered everything I wanted to know. I'm definitely a "won't notice" person, so this is good for me!
I had track phones up until I got a used iphone for really cheap in highschool and have stuck with iphone since then. And when I tell you I'm over iphone, I'm OVER it, I'm so ready for the switch. I spent an hour looking at different models and specs, even spoke to a couple chat agents for some recommendations and whatnot, all without much help. Came to ole reliable youtube and just started watching reviews on certain phones and I think I found the one I'm gonna get. Shopping online is so overrated, it's easy to overlook things and get lost in the sea of listed models and specs without being able to see the actual phone and it's performance. This was super helpful!
I just picked up the Samsung S21+ on Thursday, my provider was having a really really good deal. It's my first Samsung in about seven years, and wow Samsung really has really upped their game since my last one. I'm really loving this phone so far.
I’m an iPad and Mac user but for me phones that matters are only with android. iOS has to much limitation like no conversation recording, no real 2 SIM cards, no sd slot card, no drag and drop only iTunes or cloud
Everyone : Happy that the new flagship is 200$ cheaper this time around Meanwhile me in India: Wondering how the price here is still higher than last year
@@Kibbuster they increase the price to more than $200 (Php 13,000 mark-up price). Samsung PH is trying to flush out their Galaxy tab devices, which is an add-on to your purchase. Stonks!
Yup, in Europe it's cheaper only by 50€ and that's not really a big deal for just minor improvements and different design, it feels more like a sidegrade than an upgrade.
It's simple youtube logic If u are verified, u can comment bs and thousands of likes. Like who asked what you came for? Still u are gonna get thousands of likes just cause u are verified
I wait as well. I ride mtn bikes, live in maine (it kills everything) I got it down to $260 delivered, with fast charger included. ebays refurbished label is a good thing to go with. you can find excellent, very good, good and fair. go for the excellent and free 1 year warranty. I am stepping up after destoying my aged s10e. No complaints there either. I need the dropped prices, I kill the phones.
@@bgd73 let me say it works very well other than the battery life which is still decent but the phone was flawless and yes I bought mine on Amazon as well
@@khalyl7282 yes I did it works great the battery life is the only thing that it doesn't seem excel at but thankfully it has that fast 25 watt charging totally worth the money
@@iherduluvlawngdich Lmao I'm about to upgrade to s21 it's gonna feel so big but I'm gonna love it because my s7 is very small and slow. Super excited!
Well I always have a phone case on my phone and everyone rocks on phone case, so what's the point of spending the extra 200 dollars for glass you only feel when you first unbox it.
@@DixonDixon65 same here my friends screen was crack from a few drops it was slightly nit the worst crack but it would have lasted because I had a worse drop and it just slightly cracked my screen protecter and my phone was fine
We went from plastic phones to metal then to glass and now back to plastic. Hopefully we go back to metal/aluminum backs next. Those feel the best IMO. And while we are bringing back old design cues, bring back the headphone jack.
Thank you for such a concise review. You checked the perfect amount of both objective and subjective boxes for my viewing appeal! Now, I can make an informed decision. 👏🏽
I love the design they used this year, I personally love the return to plastic backs. Makes you feel a lot more comfortable carrying the phone without a case. Then it feels significantly lighter.
Agreed. Glass is elegant, plastic is pragmatic. An aluminum unibody is also great. Not a fan of glass backs. Already have one glass surface to worry about, I don't need a second.
I feel the same way. Now with hardware and software being so great, it's getting more difficult to justify spending over a thousand dollars for a phone that would depreciate in value relatively quickly after a year and mid range phones doing more than ever before. I'm glad many companies are providing a cheaper, flagship level device while also having the high end flagships for those who want it. I do wish that there are more mid range phones with larger screens though. I wouldn't mind paying a little more for that. You're left almost paying double the cost of most mid range phones if you want a slightly larger screen size (also larger battery as well). Something like a OnePlus Nord, Pixel 5 (still wish Google would release a Pixel 5 XL), S20 FE, and so forth with almost the same hardware but a larger screen for $100-150 more would be great.
@@JacksonWalter735 hell no, I want smaller screens. Got a tablet at home and the iPhone mini on the go, a big screen is bs, especially during the pandemic
@@HaswellCore Glad smaller screens and a tablet on the side works for you. Still doesn't mean there isn't a place for larger screens to consume more content. Some people have a single device that encompasses all of their needs and don't have multiple devices. It's not like a 6.7" screen or slightly smaller makes the phone very huge (especially these days where most of the front of the phone is a screen). Those with larger hands/thicker fingers have a better time using phones with larger screens as well. We already have budget/mid range phone with smaller screen sizes but the same isn't true for phones with larger screens.
@@JacksonWalter735 What do you mean the phone would depreciate in value in a year? I ask bc Verizon told me I could get one immediately and only pay $13 a year so I am thinking of getting it..m I currently have a s9 for context
@@JacksonWalter735 i have pretty large hands but the way i hold my phone i cant reach the left upper corner. Phones like the pixel 4a are too large. And I dont think there are many smaller phones than the 4a. Entry level stuff like the redmi note have a large enough screen and its at 200g. Pro max and S21 Ultra are at 226 or so. Pulls my pants down and doesnt fit into a single pair of pants made for women.
I dont buy it: you seem to be justifying their price drop for S21 yet there is no excuse NOT to have those extra features like SD card and MST on Ultra model
Excited for S21 plus review video coz i want to hear "It's not a flagship display from a S series phone" Galaxy M51 (midrange phone): 6.7 inches, 393 ppi S21 plus: 6.7 inches, *393* ppi *Rebranding* of *midrange* display?? For a bigger display, 393 ppi of a midrange phone is unforgivable. HOPING SOMEONE OR HIM WILL EXPOSE, Samsung downgraded a LOT especially on S21 plus.
Holy shit the production value of your videos are crazy. Half the time I'm not interested in anything but the cinematography, even as more of a photo guy. Really damn impressive what you and your team manage to do
I love this phone , I have the exact same one as in this video , I switched from a iPhone 11 pro max and I have zero regrets , battery life lasts all day and then some , the camera takes amazing photos, it's not laggy , I don't mind the 1080p because 1440 hurts my eyes anyway ( weird I know ) I don't mind the plastic back because I have a case on it 24/7 anyway and the size is perfect for my hands , plus I love themes and the ability to change the font style , perfect phone for me.
Hi, I'm thinking of getting a new phone and I'm thinking about maybe getting this one. All that is left to check on my list is to see if it had dark mode. My question is, does it have dark mode for things like google, tiktok and snapchat?
@@navil-5 galaxy collects A LOT more detail in their photos than iPhone does. Iphone users (I used to be one) always said galaxy cameras sucked because they seen all of the detail in the photos and iPhone users didn't like that
Mine still feels new after my dad has been using it since 2021. He gave it to me 2 months ago and it looks new. Performs new, everything, especially the battery
@@tony23807 There's definitely some stuff that is taking some getting used to but overall I am very pleased! The few things that I knew about but didn't realize were going to be quite so irritating are: 1. No notification light (I have it lighting up the sides now for notifications so...irritating but not as much). 2. The lack of charger in the box - I feel like it should be noted that if you are upgrading from the lower Galaxy phones, you also can't use the brick you already have. I didn't realize that and now have to purchase the actual type C brick because the cord they send with this phone doesn't have a standard USB on the other end either. I also had to upgrade my car charger for the same reason. Outside of those 2 things though: this is SO MUCH FASTER and the camera is SO MUCH BETTER. I didn't realize how dull my eyes were showing on my previous camera and with this one, I can actually see details. Everything moves faster - I'm not stalling out on apps, it's picking up signals better, and where I thought my S8 was "just fine", the processing time is spectacular on this and the colors are so much brighter. ALSO! The inclusion of Samsung Global Goals, where I can earn money to donate to charities and such while I'm just charging the phone, was an unexpected bonus and one I'm glad to have. Super happy with this.....still wish it would have kept the headphone jack, not gonna lie.
@@beautifuldisaster22 does that hole at the top of screen get in the way is it distracting? and what about the volume rockers being on the right side now what you think? hopefully i can get used to it.
@@tony23807 I actually don't mind the hole punch at the top. It is a little distracting but I'm getting used to it. I REALLY like that there is a little timer that goes around that when you are in portrait mode with the camera that tells you where to look for the shot. The volume rockers being on the right is taking me a while to get used to, and the fact that the phone doesn't have the power button on the side right out of the box like it used to. I've only had the phone for a few days but I'm already adjusting though :) It's worth the upgrade!
Its not about that, it's about value. If they're going to still charge $800 for a phone like this, it should have 1440p. The galaxy s9 cost $719 and had 1440p
