I did a software update on my 22 ultra and now the phone is extremely laggy and while watching RU-vid videos it'll just pause.... have you ever had these issues or heard anybody having these issues?
Fun fact : Samsung fans are hype for Samsung phones and they said it’s always on the edge of iPhone even though the Samsung phones in their hand is super laggy and doesn’t last long
Glad I found this video. I was about to exchange my 6 month old 13 Pro Max with a new S22U. I’m a person who is concerned with 1 or 2 small bugs in iOS 16. So after reading the comments, I think it’s better stick to 13PM until S23 launch.

HDR video playback hasn't been fixed for long period of time.. compare side by side with s21 and s20 phones.. videos look dull and less bright.. its not reaching full 1700 nits brightness for videos.. not even close..
I got a new s22 ultra and the battery life it really really bad, its been two weeks and even with the new updates the issue is still there. I'm thinking of returning this phone and keeping using my lg velvet 5g which believe it or not has better battery life
Yes, about the cell phone reception, there is a clear problem in Samsung phones, even my S22 Ultra; which should be the best nowadays; has ZERO bars in the cell phone reception notification at the moment, this happens when I'm using 4G network!! My other phone; which is from another manufacturer; has almost a full bar cell tower. So weird.
I'm not able to install an esim on this phone. After trying once, the sim manager is no longer responsive and eternally stuck. Samsung advised to do a factory reset but I'm reluctant to. If anyone has any solutions, I'm all ears
I haven't upgraded because my 21 Ultra 5G is practically the same phone without an SPEN and I bought the dumb spen on their site for 29 bucks. My only gripe is with the UI 4.1 does cause some pretty annoying bugs with various apps on the phone. Honestly I think we're still another 2 generations away from Samsung doing something spectacular again I'd like a serious camera and video upgrade. I wish they'd stop touting the 8k24fps....it just isn't that good and it's Hella laggy and the hardware just can't handle it. I'd be more interested in higher low light performance and maybe the Introduction of 4k 120fps but they still need to fix the oversharpening issue with 4k60fps. If they'd focus on upgrading the camera to a larger DSLR type sensor I think they'd annihilate any competitive things Apple has to offer as I tried the 13 ProMax and wasn't impressed at all. I don't care about the phones footprint as it's sitting in an Otterbox Defender Pro case so it's a thicc boy already The camera zoom is another thing....out to 30x it's incredibly good under ideal lightning but past 30x it's aberration and noise everywhere. If they'd even focus on making Space Zoom look good I'd definitely upgrade but at this time it's just more of the same with companies pushing out new phones with nearly identical specs for more money
Yeah another thing is that since introduction with One UI 1.0, gestures have always been way more stuttering and laggy then navigations button, and the difference isn't thin at all. Even mid range Xiaomi phones lag less with gestures navigations... sometimes closing landscape apps, such as RU-vid videos is a nightmare, I have to swipe up like 10 times...
Yh this situation is really crazy, makes me wonder why the heck I even have this big ass futuristic Samsung galaxy and have to resort to dated on screen button navigation eating out some of my screen real estate 😑.
Why does my phone sometimes say 4G LTE after I changed some settings for better battery life? I just got the S22 Ultra 5 days ago. No one else in my house has this problem.
Both my s22 plus and 22 ultra have just been shutting off and restarting for no reason. During phone calls or just sitting there not being used. This has been going on since the first set of updates a few months ago. I’m not sure what the problem is. Thank you. Let me know if you have any ideas what maybe going on.
I am having the same problem as you Heath O'neal. I noticed it began a few months ago as well with my Note Ultra 20. Up until a few months ago, I had no problems with my phone. Well, yesterday , 8/18/22, I got a replacement phone , the Ultra S22, well today, 8/19/22, the new phone an hour ago, shut off for no reason and restarted while I was in the middle of watching a movie on the phone. Pretty frustrating to say the least and I notice the phones runs very warm.
Have you found out what causes the s22 to do that? Mine keeps freezing and restarting during calls or when i try to answer a call and it's very frustrating.
Good list but it kinda varies with individual set up. My biggest issue is the easy access to quick panel. I prefer to read my notifications as they come in from the lockscreen but there seems to be no way to prevent anyone else from doing the same thing also. The 'hidden' option samsung seems to be just extra clicks/steps to access your own info. Seems to be a waste of the finger print and face recognition features samsung has. Anyone can also access some features of the quick panel.
Been on my phone 1.5 hrs today and it's already at 52% 😡 also, my phone says 5g but behaves like I have ZERO service. Pages wont load, video calls freeze and wont connect. It's bs! Just got the phone and it was happening. Every time i called about ot, they said we did such and such wait and see if it helps. Now because of the time that they made me wait, if i want a different phone, I will have to go thru my insurance (so i habe to pay) and will get a refurbished phone. IT WAS BRAND NEW AND THEY TOLD ME TO WAIT OVER AND OVERRRR AGAIN. Now lately, the last week or 2, i keep getting a random thing that pops up on my screen "something went wrong" but, i dont know what went wrong!
Sir can you please help? Some apps like pixellab and capcut not working well in s22ultra.. Pixellab app has issue specially when I apply some effect like "shadow" "inner shadow" on shapes or text. I don't see any result of that.. Since 5 months I am finding help.. Please help me 🙏
Sent back to Samsung yesterday. Updated software 6/28 my phone freezing and keep restarting over and over again. Rebooted, wipe catch partition, and factory reset….nothing help. Every 5 minutes

AND if I don't say it often enough great content! BTW best thing with pets and kids is to take a video and choose the best frame. There's one feature (forgot the name lol) that takes several shots in one go so you don't miss anything. Either way pets and kids need patience. I've seen pics of kids on other phones....believe me they don't come close.
one of the stupid issue i got on my device is screen brightness on hdr content specially on Netflix and Prime videos the screen is dimming so bad that you can't see almost anything on dark scenes.. i hope Samsung will fix this soon!!
hi, what about wifi reception issue? i put my old s9+ and my S22 ultra in the same place and the s9+ have no problem to connect the wifi networking but the S22 ultra does, what can i do?
My issues have been with apps like Twitter, Instagram and a couple others. Using wifi, the apps don't work properly. The pages don't refresh. I have to turn off wifi to get the pages to load. If i use twitter, Instagram through the Chrome browser using wifi, it works fine. I've tried resetting the network. Reinstalling the apps. Even using a static ip. Can't seem to figure it out.
I am very dissapointed about this phone... phone freezes when i wanted to answer a call ..it happent 3 times already.. using exynos version. And also signal reception is very bad. Want to sold it.
my s22u exynos still lags every time I turn on the screen. Every time I press the power button to wake the screen up, my music or any type of media lags noticeably which is really annoying.
I was wondering if you could shed a little light on the problems with International service? My Galaxy 9 plus had no problem in Mexico. But once I update it I cannot get any service with my with my 22 ultra. I see things on message boards but when I try to talk to customer service directly or any Verizon store they have no idea what's going on. Thoughts?
For some reason my battery suddenly drains waaay faster after the update. I hear that it gets some getting used to again every update, but does that mean we only get to enjoy good battery a few weeks? :(
After the update, my super fast charging intermittently goes go hell and the phone will get super hot. Normally when supercharging , it will tell u how many minutes till fully charged. When the supercharging went haywire, it did not have that info.. maybe even slower that using regular charging. I have to ( manually) reboot the phone, plug and unplug several times, to make it work . Sometimes none works
S22 Ultra, still seems to lag behind in camera noise. Its just bad compared to VIVO X80 Pro. Its just noisy and Samsung's AWB, is still pretty horrible and always tends to overexpose. This is really not a great look for Samsung and Chinese manufacturers specially Xiaomi is catching up really quick!
Split screen hang many time...you cant drag app in split area....and some time video corsur bar disappear in youtube not able to find exact steps when this happen i believe it has connection with split screen when youtube is already opened and you do split screen
@@jspring86 I am but I disabled some of them. Like my always on display and such. It could have something to do with me working outside and my phone just getting a tad warm and causing it to lag a bit.
I've noticed the 22 ultra is very unreliable with Microsoft teams I use teams daily say work and I constantly miss calls chats come in late, etc . I didn't have this issue with my 13 pro max or or pixel 6 pro before it also the smooth scrolling become jittery out of nowhere sometimes in Facebook or Chrome
I own the P6P and S22U and I will say the Pixel outshines in display refresh rate. It's buttery smooth, whereas the Samsung still stutters constantly. And I run no animations, which is unacceptable.
The camera app is garbage now. It constantly lags unbelievably. The viewfinder itself lags and doesn't display what I'm looking at clearly. This happens in picture mode and in video mode and even worse when I actually take a video. I can send you a video on Twitter so you can see how bad it is. Definitely might wanna make a video on it, idk
Good luck should be in the advanced section however in most of the world it's not even available and you have to go via a third party app which is ridiculous
Reception depends alot on your city or country. We have cell towers round every corner lol No 5 G yet t least not in all areas. But otherwise iit's pretty good. on my S21 Ultra and yes that app drawer I think was the leading headache in your case. The Vera icon pack, the recents stack, the keyboard customisation and pentastic seem to work fine. Then again the S21 Ultra had it's share of issues for the first few months. By the time I bought it they had pretty much sorted them out. Try one thing at a time like the Vera Icon pack.
Exynos and snap dragon chips has nothing to do with network signal if u have no reception that has to deal with the wireless carriers if they have network towers in the city 🤦🤦🤦
Hey thanks for your posts, I do subscribe! Just wanted to point out that android auto was phased out in favor of Google assistant. It still works on the app that comes in auto's, but the phone app is gone, perhaps this is the source of your issues?
The motherboard on my S22 Ultra died just after 3 months. I lost all my photos, videos, phone number, everything lost ! I don't even know how to explain how disappointed I am with Sumsung 😭 it's a €1,400 smart phone ! This will be the last phone I will ever buy from Sumsung. Extremely disappointed 😔
My Samsung S222 Ultra is a nightmare. It's take up to 5 seconds to open apps, the camera is always lagging the first five-six seconds. Do you have some tips/tricks for me?
I have big problems with wifi6 on my phone. No matter what I do, the latency and speeds are aweful. They are just fine on all my other peripherals, just my s22u. :/
Yeah they need to fix all these problems man this is ridiculous I hope they're not trying to pull another iPhone or apple situation lol that they Force people to update because they're messing up the software until it gets to a point that you have to go ahead and get a new phone
Hello, So in my experiences with my Galaxy S22 Ultra, the s-pen has been great and pretty accurate in most areas of the screen except near the top left of the screen where the s-pen drifts away from the actual location of the stylus. I do not have a magnetic case on that could interfere with the electromagnetic signals of the digitizer. I have tried resetting the s pen and it didn't fix the issue. the S-pen hover pointer is slightly above where it actually should be. So, I decided to test other S22 Ultra models in stores and they all have the same issue of drifting away from the pen location near the top left area of the display. I was told as temporary fix to turn off touch sensitivity in the settings but it was already off, and I tried turning it on and off again, and the same issue persists with the S Pen not drawing in the correct spot in the top left region Can this issue be fixed with a software update? Thanks!
I have 22 ultra exynos Does anyone has problem playing vedioes on youtube app i can play only 480p or lower if i get higher quality the video will crush. Am really suffering everyday.
I have the s22 ultra, 0/10 tbh, Got it a month ago, It over heats like crazy, Lags, front glass gets super hot and the back gets extremly hot as well. Batter drains super fast as well
@@jspring86 wish they had a mode where it locked in a certain performance and kept it there. Give me option to prioritize a handful of apps and keep the device snappy...like an iPhone. I shouldn't have to be thinking of a factory reset.
@@jspring86 what you said is correct. I applied the default theme, cleared disk cache from boot, and set oneui back to default from nova. The phone is performing much better.
Updat: what has really helped this device stay fast 3 days in...is restore the default theme and restore the original homescreen and app grid sizes, remove all widgets and icons, and then install nova and customize there. Clearly when you mess with the default oneui setup the phone becomes not optimized.
I'm quite disappointed with my S22 plus. It is supposed to a super refined and smooth android phone that rivals the IPhone. But it is laggy and the camera is unusable. I missed so many moments waiting for the camera to launch and dealing with blurry images. This should be regarded as a faulty phone in 2022 and not to be sold.
