Love my new S23+. Watching on it now. Got the cream color with Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear case and tempered glass protector. Kept my S22 Ultra, but I like the flat screen on this phone and smaller form factor.

I made the shift too. First android since the 2010 HTC desire and I fancied a change from apple. Pretty happy with it. Just wish the widgets were a bit nicer ootb but it's a small thing in the grand scheme of a smartphone haha.

I wish Plus and Ultra model had only display size difference. Like S8 and S8+ did. A lot of people would like best specs, but don't want a giant device. And "regular", non plus model, for those who are ok with less performance and more compatibility.

@@shafwanbayal3480LTPO and quad HD are icing on the cake, but not essential. For essential features, this is the perfect phone. Both the S23 and S23+, sizing is all preferential.

@@shafwanbayal3480You do realize 99% of the population can’t tell the difference from QHD to FHD+, right? It’s almost 400 ppi, which is already sharp and unless you’re glued to the screen, you won’t tell the difference. LTPO would’ve been nice, but other options are worse in many aspects, even cheaper options. You get a great sized phone, not a heavy brick like the Ultra, a flat screen, literally the best and most optimized CPU for Android, great cameras, amazing battery life (it even beats the Ultra), so it’s indeed the best phone of 2023 (overall). You have better options like the Ultra or iPhone Pro/Pro Max, but those are more expensive, and you can get this one right now for $600 (with a trade-in).

Samsung should have given LTPO display on S23+. Otherwise S23 and S23+ aren't worth the 200 dollar price difference. Otherwise the only differences between S23 and S23+ is 0.5 inches extra display and 800mAh extra battery.

@@SuperKiko112 Samsung doesn't force 1440p on their phones so i don't get your point. You have the option to change the resolution. If you want the screen to look sharper, you can set the screen resolution to 1440p or if you want better battery, you can set the screen resolution to 1080p or 720p. Literally all Samsung 1440p compatible phones allow you to do this. Ironically, the S23 Ultra's screen resolution is on 1080p by default

I previously owned an S22 Ultra and rarely used the S Pen nor was I ever comfortable with the curved screen. I recently purchased the S23 Plus because it has a flat screen and basically has everything that I would ever need (except maybe the 2K resolution).

I wanted to pick the S23 Plus in Green because it was the sweet spot for me, but they were out of stock, so I ended up getting the regular S23 (256GB) in Green and it still gives all of the premium feel quality and flagship features, but only the difference is the display being smaller, less resolution because of the 1080p panel but is still a gorgeous display, battery is definitely noticeable from the S23 Ultra, but the S23 still gives me 6 or more hours of Screen time when doing moderate use with light gaming sessions at high graphics. The camera is still grear despite not having the 200mp camera. It still gives nice-looking photos in daylight with great focus and color. Ram and storage are adequate for this small device. Overall, even if you are picking the most basic S23 from the lineup, you are still getting a great device that comes with everything that you need for a flaghship device but in a smaller and confortable size.

I got S23 Ultra. No doubts, it's definitely a very nice toy: a lot of new features, a lot of of bells and whistles, just a feast for the eyes! But, as strange as it sounds, it's not quite that kind of toy that you could relax and enjoy, you know, "close but no cigar"... Somehow it feels "heafty" with all that new functions, too much of everything, overwhelming... Not a nice feeling. So, I ordered S23 Plus, this is more of "my cup of tea": all new features are in moderation, not overloaded with functions that, you will probably, never use anyway, a bit smaller, feels better in hand...Nice! And not that much different from Ultra model, except for a pen.

Considering the price jump the Plus model should definitely have a 1440p display as it doesn't offer anything extra over the standard apart from a bigger display annd battery and for me a bigger display is more of a preference thing not something you should have to pay extra for.

Well. You do get 45W charging instead of 25W and 800 mAh more, but yes, that should not justify that much extra $. Speaking of charging speeds. That's one area in Samsungs flagships that's almost a joke. It should be at least 45W for the regular and higher for the Plus and Ultra.

I bought and returned the S23+ this week. I found a camera defect on the main sensor. It has a banana shaped blur on the top third in portrait. Most of the S23 and S23+ made in Vietnam have this issue. You can see the fault in photo comparison on GSMArena.

I'm also trying to decide between the OnePlus 11 and the s23 plus. It's a tough choice for me. I prefer the size of the s23 plus but the op11 has better display resolution, charging and I'd get the 16gb ram.. even though I don't game on my phone aside for some chess it's a long term investment.. the op11 also has the nice mute/vibrate/sound toggle which is helpful.

I moved from Iphone 13 pro max and this and face id are the only worse things about s23+. On I phone I charged my phone once in 4 days with 9+ SOT. This samsung needs to be charger once in 2 days with about 6-7 SOT. Idle drain is a little higher than on IOS.

@@123theprodigy5 the iPhone 14 Plus is garbage in sales, in fact, in general the "normal" line 14 is terrible in sales, let's be honest the iPhone 14 is an iPhone 13, very lazy on Apple's part TO CHANGE ANYTHING, this iPhone 14 didn't make sense , it's much more worth the 13 honestly

@@vascomorais639The iPhone 14 Plus is likely to sell 10X more per month than the S23+, so the Samsung is not really popular at all, as Apple got rid of the iPhone Mini that outsold the S22+ by around 10 million units! The S23 (base) is also selling poorly and 60% is the S23U.

Than pick the S23 it has a 425 ppi display instead of 390 on the S23+ and it's cheaper!

@@djplonghead5403 I've not used the phone but i have been using the s21plus for 2 years and i am thinking of upgrading. The only issue with the s21plus is the display. I think it is not as crisp because i like to read a lot.
