Yeah, freaking S23 is a battery beast for it's size...I run mine in light mode and nothing's different in performance that I've noticed...I've easily gotten 5-7 hours screen on time with it, going to bed with 35%-40%ish left, watching you tube with email doom scrolling, messaging, etc. great little phone! Don't know how Sammy's gonna surpass this little phone next year.
7:30 - Adaptive Brightness + Extra Dim works wonders if you still want the automated brightness that is a notch or two dimmer than what is normally suggested.
Though Extra Dim is a just "make the screen darker" filter. At times when you record the screen, this filter is still there. So you have to remove it if you want to record the screen or max out the brightness to counteract the filter

If you feel that adaptive brightness is still high and don't want to adjust the brightness everytime then just turn on adaptive brightness with extra dim on. This is the perfect option instead of adjusting the brightness everytime
Man setting up the phone as new I never thought of that one and I just got my 23 ultra damn will do it next time you can always scan for corrupted apps or files I guess
I put my phone to stop at 85% unless your like super gaming and watching youtube at the same and don't have a charger at work 85% assuming you go to work everyday you can always charge it back up if your going to be out for a while and if your out you won't be on the phone gaming and draining the battery allnight you should be fine
I transferred my data from my S21 ultra and luckily haven't had any battery drain issues, I think it's worth a try for convenience then resetting if battery is bad. Good tip about the Bixby routine, I have similar but I will add the turning off of fast charging too.
Bad restoration is true for my S10. When I transferred my files from my S5 (around 14 GB) it really affected the battery life. Fast forward to today, there is no such thing as bad restoration. I transferred everything from my S10 (around 125 GB and 230 GB of files) to my S23 Ultra and the S23U just laughed at it. But of course I wanted to keep the internal memory clean so since those same files are backed up in Google Drive, I deleted it. So maybe that negated bad restoration too? I'm not 100% sure but in my experience, the S23 Ultra never suffered a bad restoration meaning Samsung really improved *_BIG_* time.
I did reset it 2 days ago and used samsung account to restore settings apps etc, did i do it wrong or have to reset it again and not restore from samsung cloud?
Remove apps you don't use, adjust the screen to 60hz, use dark mode, manually adjust the sharpness and light of the image, use a black background, turn off Google discover/news... And your battery lasts two days!
Hi Mark. There was a question I was wondering from this video. So, if you add your account from your previous phone, but don't transfer the data from that account and old phone, what impact will that have on your battery or the phone itself? I also know that transferring all the data and stuff eats up your storage and I'm trying to do things right this time around when I upgrade
05:20 yes it does show the apps that are draining the battery. But you can't close them. At least on mine. When you click on the apps in that page, says high usage of battery in the background. but it only indicates that the app is suspended. you can't do nothing about it like closing or something else.
@GKvikrant the phone just does its thing. No power saving mode 120hz turn on and I'm always on my phone. Sometimes from 3am to like 9pm and it still wants to keep going.
I find my battery draining faster since i put the sim card... I have the 14pm and the s23u, the sim was in the iphone and samsung was turned on with wifi on and the battery was draining slowlier but now after it is in the phone it is different, still using it on wifi
Yep, but they played it smart, it should be for 80% but as that would make us have the phone for mooore years then they set it to 85% so the phone can last, but not as much.
I’d try the s23. I had 22 ultra last year ! It overheated or would just all of sudden shut off on me for no reason. Happened to me numerous times to where I had to trade it went back to IPhone and I was so excited about owning a Samsung phone ! So hopefully the S23 works out for you ! ✌️
@Billy Dean in the power saver setting screen, in the 3 dot menu there is an option called adaptive power saving, where it is supposed to turn power saver on and off automatically based on usage patterns.
Just charged my s23 (to 85%) with all these settings, most of which I put in place when I got it. I only transferred my contacts & nothing else. Battery life says 1 day 23 hours! I'm going try a reset on my old S20 just for the hell of it. Plus Device Care & Digital Wellbeing are really useful. I'd just like to learn how to make use of bixby.
Dark mode is kinda useless BCS Android for some reason tried to apply colour palette and it has this dark colour theme and is kidna useless but sure it takes less battery and doesn't blind u
The biggest thing that helped me was sell this overpriced piece of crap . The battery life is pathetic on this phone and slow as f charging . Get any oneplus or xiaomi flagship miles better and slighlty better camera performance
