@@budurusreemohanesh1981 on my note 20 ultra i ran an FPS counter and it fluctuates from 60 - 120 and on my s23 standard it goes from 24 - 120 .. i think the s23 ultra might go from 1 - 120 but i dont have that phone to test
Thanks for the tips. I've used my device with the highest display settings, std performance mode & without altering anything & I can get 6 hrs SOT & 15 hrs standby time. Noted I'm a heavy user but the battery is pretty good this time. Samsung had step up their game indeed!
Bruh, i didnt buy a 1500 bucks phone to turn off all the features that make it worth buying, samsung needs to optimise their software.. some good advices though 👍
Maybe. But the battery without turning off features is still 10+ hours on s23 ultra screen on time. If you want 2 additional hours, you can disable features that is in the video.
@@saigaming2169 bruh, as an owner of an s22ultra with the same battery capacity as the s23 i doubt that.. i bought a damn tablet just to watch youtube on it in the afternoons as otherwise id kill the battery before evening.. samsung has issues and they should adress it
@@jackakascko you crazy man, the s23 ultra has the best battery across all smartphones right now. But that’s not the point of this video though. He’s not directly telling you to turn off everything. He’s just showing all the ways a novice could save battery. It’s up to you, the user, to decide when to implement them and when. I may not do everything in this video at once but I will mix and match settings that match my needs for a given moment or situation. If I’m going camping I will check off every single one of these settings. If I’m at home, I might not even use one of them. If I’m going to school, lunch or work, gym, etc. I’ll have different settings that match that. If I’m tired of switching settings then I’ll pick the best combo for that too. A phone is a tool, make sure it works for you and not the other way around.
Great tips there. Do keep an eye on most China apps like tiktok or Huawei and xiaomi, they tend to run on background always unless you kill them by limit their background data and battery usage.
If you look at the little text on the processing speed screen, you can see that this does not apply to games, if you wanna effect games you have to open game launcher and game booster to change battery settings there.
You can go into settings, search for auto optimisation, and your phone will restart by it's self, whenever you are not using it, for "housekeeping" and keeping it's self fresh. Pretty nice to do once and forget about it.
It doesnt really work on my tablet. Before 5.1 it was possible to set a especific time for restart. Now, even using this setting, it never actually restarts, i ve run diagnosis and it recognizes that my device didnt restart anytime in 10 days.
@@paulohenrique-yi1bo damn..... It sucks when features don't work.... I thought only google did that by removing features from older devices, now samsung is doing it.....
I have to say that the S23 Ultras battery is so much better than my S22 was. I'm not sure what they did differently, but I no longer panic if I don't have a charger with me lol
If you want yo keep your phone longer just pay the 50-90 bucks for an official samsung battery replacement every 2-3 years, do not handicap you phone's battery life by limiting it to 85%
I've had better battery life since turning off background limitations. My guess is that the apps try to start anyway and then the system keeps shutting them down. That saves nothing at all. What I turned on is the adaptive battery. For this I switched off the diagnostic data from Samsung and Google. Face ID also requires a lot of energy because the camera is switched on every time. I prefer the fingerprint sensor anyway. Otherwise everything runs me: GPS, BT, 120HZ etc. With these settings I can easily get over 24 hours, I don't need more.
I value battery life way more than visual. Samsung finally made the a phone that has very good battery life in the s23 ultra. To add more battery life to it...Drop to standard display...HD+.....Battery setting...performance profile to LIGHT. Dark screen every where. No Always on display. And since this has good battery life, I cap my charging to 85%. Keep my battery health. It last me through the day and into next day. I only need to charge it once a day. I know people is thinking....why buy a phone and disable all those features. Well I want the best camera and a smooth processor. But having a phone with good battery life is more important.
Once in a while, RU-vid recommends a good channel 👍, a new sub. The only thing you didn't talk about but I can see you already know is using black wallpapers and black icons. Everyone who uses Samsung phones for some years knows that AMOLED screens don't turn on in black stuff= battery saving. 👍
😉 I’ve done other Samsung power saving videos in the past. I tend to get mixed responses when I mention that….It seems that some people just don’t seem to like dark mode.
@WhatGear I know, and many people say "why I'm going to use an ugly wallpaper just to save battery..." !! I'm watching your other videos good content for me because I own a S22 ultra, my wife uses my old note 20 ultra and my oldest daughter uses the S10.👍
3:54 bro when you turn off nearby share it's not enough. You need to also go to settings>google>devices and sharing>nearby share and there you want to turn off "show notification"
So in the case of the intelligent Wi-Fi setting that turns Wi-Fi on and off automatically, but requires location to be on, I guess the question is which uses more power? Having the Wi-Fi on all the time without location, or having location enabled while at the same time using this intelligent Wi-Fi feature?
Regarding protect battery? I feel with modern batteries that's a bit redundant. Case in point being my S10 still has practically no battery degredation. It's been used heavily for 4 years as my work phone. And only charged it overnight. Here's something you can do as an alternative. Create a routine, that disables fast charging at night (say 10PM to 8AM) meaning. if you overnight charge your phone whilst your sleeping, it won't use fast, charge. But when you're in a pinch in the daytime cause you're travelling or what not and need a quick top-off via your battery bank or charger ? Fast charge will be available then. Without you having to worry about switching this on/off manually.
Bit if you turn on gps to turn off wofi automatically, you are wasting unnecessary power. Gps uses much more power than wifi, plus you can always manually turn wifi off, no need for extra processing...
I always turn off my S21 ultra by night while charging! I've done this since the S8+ and I'm still using it at work to run some specific apps, its battery is still pretty good holding up for almost 3 days without charging (I still switch it off by the end of the working day)
"Turn wifi on/off automatically". How does the phone know you're in range of the specified wifi networks unless it's continuously scanning for wifi, therefore wasting battery?
I have the Galaxy S23 standard phone, the One UI Home is showing up under Battery Usage over 14% a day, anyone know how to reduce this? it's crazy high!
Yeah just keep it 120Hz, most phones have it on Adaptive so it's made to save battery. But honestly many people can barely notice a difference between FHD and UHD aka 1080p and 4k
Samsung s22 ultra doesn't get this feature My trust in samsung is getting lower and lower if i pay premium money, must get premium features at the least for 3 years. If my 4000 dollar can't get these updates. I am starting really thinking about iphone these days Even that i got the latest one ui 5.1
Thank you so much sir for the great help. But I nèd your help.I have sammsung ultra,5G and A14 5G.Both on Android 13,and did all updates . Both doesn't warn when battery is down.I searched for donation.None could guide. I Do'n see option to get the' battery low warning' either.please guide me with this .Thanks.
My battery on Samsung s20 drained fast everyday need charging without heavy use so I tried something I uninstalled all Google apps and stopped force stooped ones I couldn’t uninstall including play store to see what would happen and to my surprise my battery drain was so much less same use but now only charge my phone every 3 days so now I only use play store and when I finished downloading a app I then force shut play store till I need again
@@WhatGear i can get some of the other features..but i cant imagine anyone buying that phone and going down to 720p and 60hz..thats just mad! but i hear you
You should probably also add Bixby routines too do all this automatically at either certain percentage points or when unplugged. When plugged in have you phone go too full power
