Funny how they always be seeming to look for something on Samsung but I never heard anything about Apple's heating problems... Then supposedly they fixed it but with the latest update the heating issue is happening again. Yet I hear absolutely nothing on here about it SMH...
Iphones dim their screen allot its actually crazy to see and a very big issue every iphone at the store has it and my mom has this issue aswell and it even happens to all of the 16 models on normal use not even on gaming
Your son's dinosaurs are fantastic. For me, the bonus of the strong anti glare screen means that, although not ideal, I would put up with the grainy screen.
I havea little grain on my s24+ as well but for me the biggest issue was the vibidness on the colors not nesrly as good as on my previous s22+...i compared them aide by aide and the difference is like night and day...feels like my upgrade was more of a downgrade
I really thought something was weird when I tested an S24U at a local store. Their showcase unit definitely had this kind of problem and I compared it to my iPhone 13 which honestly had better looking display.
The S24 Ultra i have has an awful display with very noticeable grain, I've asked for a replacement but they refused and said there is nothing wrong with the unit. Very disappointed with this phone and samsung.
My first couple of months I have not had the grain. Out of no where the other night I noticed how my display did not look good. THEN I looked it up and I see many people have this issue. Sucks, and yea I don't think they'll replace it.
That doesn't make it any worse its only you acting immaturely about something that is within the hardware of something revolutionary. I too have grainy display but i don't lwt it ruin the experience and say it is what it is@@tc.n
I totally agree with you that it is a fair trade off. Before I bought my s24 ultra, I did do a lot of research and I found out about the grainy display issue before hand. I bought the phone anyways and though I did try to use it in a very dark place just to see the grainy display issue, it does not bother me personally and Im very much happy with my device. But that's just me.
It's not about perception. The (reality) is that for top dollar they're selling an inferior display. My husband and I have been Samsung users, top phones for the last 15 years at least and were about to upgrade to this, and now, absolutely not. Disgusting.
I've had the S24 Ultra since April and I've never noticed this issue on mine. Am I the only one who doesn't notice this issue? Either mine doesn't have it or it's not noticeable. My display looks fine to me. I had no idea what the issue even was which is why I looked this up because I was curious to see what it was since people kept talking about it.
one thing is anti reflection is good but obviously it also blocks the picture objects coming up from main display, cause first comes main display then anti reflection coating and then glass itself.
Hi Jeff. I've watched the videos and I've read the reviews about the S24 Ultra screen etc. I have a S24 Plus and don't know if i should be noticing these same kind of issues on the S24 Plus? Or is it only the S24 Ultra that is affected rather than the entire S24 range?
I have the S24 Ultra and either mine doesn't have this issue or it's not noticeable. I never noticed it on my phone. I came to this video just to see what the issue was because people keep talking about it and I never notice it on my phone.
I've had the s24 ultra since launch and have been very happy with it. I do think that the screen looks a bit lackluster relative to past Samsung screens, likely due to the antireflective tech they're using, and would prefer that they offer a choice in the future of whether you want that feature or not. It's not a big deal though, and I still think this is the best phone money can buy right now.
I've got all Samsung Ultras. Put them side by side. You will see it! The majority of people use a screen protractor so they actually lose the anti reflective sceen
Of course I noticed it, while it was not as bad as some samples I have seen, this made me return the phone as the secondary reason, the primary was the size and weight of it. Was not comfortable with having a 1200 euro phone which I am not able to comfortably use + also has display issues. Shame. I really liked the S pen.
@@bananaboy2012 i just sold it with 15% loss but it was worth it. Never buying samsung neither any other flagship phone. It baffles me how their lower and modrange has this sharp and vivid display but their flagship is a pixelated grainy trash.
Mine is not grainy at all I use mine at night every day, but I do have a problem with my screen going in and out at times. I took it in they said they fixed it but it still happens.
And PS if you do use the vivid slider slide it all the way up till the end then restart your phone and you'll see what it looks like I see no problem people saying it said it looks grainy I even got my Gboard and I'm looking at it right now doesn't look grainy at all it's how people see it I don't know we'll try that anyway restart your phone after you set the vivid slider on high
That's ridiculous let them set the vivid mode that's all I never had that problem I'm looking at my keyboard it looks great My icons look great it's depending on the person's eyes I guess I don't know That's crazy😮
@@Catloverplayer take a look at it carefully for my phone it looks very vivid I have the s23 and I match it up and it looks exactly like S 23 The S24 looks very vivid and it doesn't look grainy at all so I don't know what's going on but it looks fine to me 👍😎
The grain issue is separate. It has nothing to do with the vivid slider. I have the slider turned up to max but I can still see this grain aka banding on some widget and wallpapers from The Theme Store.
@@Catloverplayer I know that but you got to take a look at it The phone looks like the s23 so leave it as that and it's not a defective it's probably the screen as far as the no reflection I have a screen protector so mines looks good anyway leave it alone it looks great to me to each his own remember it's only to the eye of the beholder 👍😎
When I open goodlock and go to theme park it now has apk on each customized option? Icons, keyboard themes etc. And it says I need the default theme to even use them and some customization options are gone like resizing icons? What is happening, this phone is getting worse.
Check the how much time it had good visibility in Sunlight ???? I found Sunlight display issue in many s24 ultra mobiles getting dim after 3 minutes or soooo…….It’s a big Issue in Samsung Flagship mobile
I Never liked OLED displays...they might have a good contrast and eye candy display with saturated images....but....the colour tone is not true to life.....I always liked IPS.
@@wheelyflacips doesnt have that grain. this grain is the "mura effect" you get from oleds. every panel has this but it is way less noticeable than whats in the s24u. you can see the mura effect when you view a 5% gray image on 0% brightness. there youll see the uniformity pattern of your display. and no, oleds are still superior to ips, i disagree with OP.
@senzuka_se I think the grain is worth it if u can get better more Alive colors with so much better contrast.. + most oleds don't have that issue to any noticable level.. it's just s24 series with the issue and its not because it's oled it because Samsung joking around with our money... anyway I know about all u said I was just trying to say that its like lcd because the grain is as noticable as the bad contrast on an lcd.. where the blacks look gray... Fun fact I tested somes s24u in stores to see myself in low light conditions too and on these models that are made for people to try inside the store , these models at least in greece , they don't have any grain at all. It's really weird that these models have no grain but the retail models are grainy.. ( haven't seen any retail units myself yet but i know a greek guy that has the grain on his.. )
Nah, mine's even got three very noticeable horizontal grey bars on top of the graininess... This is really messed up... Paid over 1000 euros for a phone with a f* up display... 😤
I saw it at first but after a day or two of use it went away. Almost like it needed to calibrate or something weird like that. Either way, my s24u is just fine
Do you notice dull washed out colors on pictures? Also videos on RU-vid or Twitter looked low quality so had return. Plus it was huge brick it felt like
At first i didn't notice it.. Then i saw some Videos about this grain and i can't unsee it. But it's not like the phone is not working fine so now it doesn't bother me at all... Kind of gotten used to it... 😂
Once again let them use the vivid mode That's it it'll look fantastic I have it on and it looks great I can tell the difference it's night and day That's no excuse not to use a phone it looks great I never have a problem put it on vivid mode hi gh
Let's not be iSheep and pretend Sammy diidn't have a bunch of issues (and still does') with this phone. I've the S23 Ultra which I bought in January and frankly I am glad I did because I got what I paid for. Ice compares the S24 Ultra (unfavourably) to the S 23 Ultra and frankly I think my phone is still The King. That's what I commented on X...got a bunch of likes lol
Another amazing video my dear friend ). Like you , Doesn't bother me. The positives far out way that one little negative. I totally love my 24 ultra. Again super amazing video . Appreciate you my dear friend 🙏☺️
Too much noticeable since the first day out of the box. I noticed it even without reading anything about the issue. Keeping my S23 ultra and waiting for S25.
