And guys if none of these solve the problem, what you wanna do is take your phone, go somewhere high up (for ex. a balcony, rooftop, a second floor window etc) and what you wanna do is get you phone, & throw it down directly into to the concrete. now, this method will ONLY work I'd you're really high up (20 - 30 ft off the ground). and then after you've thrown your phone down, what you wanna do is jump out of the window and dive directly, head first, into the ground. this method is a 100% guarantee. it works every time. good luck and have a nice day ✌

my s5 just went off in my pocket , was working fine before , got home from work , phone off so restarted it , asked for sim pin , put that in no prob , then needs screen unlock pin but this is where the prob starts ......unresponsive to touch ..wont acknoledge pin , touch anything ...its on but flicking between screens ..colored and black and white ....tried this a lot no joy and tried the wipe cache partition video .....no joy please help ...im trying for 6 hrs to get it back no joy .... would it help to reload to bootloader
My Samsung Galaxy s5 got water damaged. All the buttons work, the lights light up, I still get noises for notifications, etc. But, the screen is completely black. Sometimes I can touch the screen and it is responsive, but most the time is not. The phone initially got damaged a few months ago, the water is dried up. What can I do to fix this? Is there a fix, or am I out of luck? I have tried multiple methods, including this one, but nothing. Help me, thanks!

My s3Mini screen was initially turning on, but wouldn't come back on again after timing out. The fix SEEMS to have worked first time (with a new battery also) ! Woo hoo, I know it is an outdated phone, but my backup phone was even older, a samsung flip phone, 10+years old haha
If you take the battery, doesn't the phone lose all power, so technically the phone won't turn on. Try this. Shut it off, hold power key, Homd button and the volume up key
Well it surely just worked for me ( on my husband's phone) and made me look good. Sadly weeks ago when my phone had the same problem I took it to the Verizon store and was talked into buying a new phone. Big thanks for saving us money and aggravation!

my phone its black screen just when is cold,so i push the button and he dont turn and only way to recover is something hot near and screen is active.maybe reason is the water? plz if you know any way for this problem,send me.
Getoar Gashi Same. I charge the phone and I warm it up in my palm until it gets warm then I click on the side power button. then the display turns on after a few tries. then slide or give password and voila.
Thanks not only does this work on the s5 but it also worked on my girlfriend, I held down her power button for 1 min but still wasn't working properly but when I held down her power button for 2 mins straight she was functioning perfectly and like expected
You are an absolute legend, i stupidly put my phone (GS5) in water to show its waterproof (i know, im an idiot) and It got all messed up. I put in in rice and it was behaving just as you described. Tried the one min trick, fired up straight away. Thanks again, no joke this actually worked!!! :)

+breanna breger the screen is burned out and will need to be replaced. I just went through this. if you have not registered your phone with Samsung do it now. put the purchase date as the day before and they will repair it for free. to replace it yourself it is over $100.
okay, so i have a galaxy grand prime and it dropped in the tub, i mean this is not the first time it got in water but it basically drowned, and i took the battery out and dried it out, without the rice then i watched this video and took out the battery, sd card and memory card and held the power button down for 1 min and then put the battery, then it came on but the Samsung galaxy thing doesn't show and its like a dark blueish screen, so i put it in rice for 3 days now im charging it so do you have any solution or tricks or something to make it actually work and come on

I do not have a black screen, everything shows up on my Samsung Phone screen, it is just unresponsive, anything you touch on the screen does not work. I have rebooted it, taken off the battery, restarted it, held the power button like you recommended, still nothing. All I can do is answer calls by using the home button and that's it. Any ideas?
Man, thanks! Galaxy S5 Mini, after pressing power button for 2 minutes the camera works now and even more, adb detects the device, it was never detected before.
My phone did it again.. I tried this method 5 times, but the most iv gotten is a bad channel screen.. Like the blurry lines on a tv. I noticed if I push hard on the screen, where the cable is located, it will show the usual screens but as I let go, it freezes... Any solutions?
+Kyah Francis take a sewing needle and in the mid-top right corner where there is a small opening gently insert the needle and push down. It only moves it about the 3 millimeters but it will give you enough grab room.
Wow man thanks so much I was about to drop $500 on a new phone...you saved my 3 year old samsung s3...only had to do this once and it came right back on with no problem...
I've tried mostly everything for my s5 and nothing works. Nothing turns on or vibrates. Idk if this helps but the charger that came with the phone doesn't plug in, but my s3 charger fits. I don't know if there's something stuck in there or if it would effect the phone at all. The man at my local Best Buy also used his battery to see if that would work, but still nothing. I haven't done anything to damage my phone, the screen just glitched out and permanently shut off after a year of having it.

At first my problems started with my phone glitching out, flashing really quick, then the screen would go black and every time I would push the unlock button it would flash then unlock after pushing the unlock button countless times. I dropped it tonight and now it will turn on, I can hear it turn on but the screen isn't turning on. I've tried doing what was said in your video. Nothings working. please give some advice
My S5 will turn on if I take the battery out and put it back in but 5 to 10 mins later I get the same problem the screen freezes goes black but the phone is still running I trid this and it is still happening

It doesn't work for me, I think it's the LCD screen problem, I could only hear the sound of the phone when on and see the blue light from the notifications from whatsapp. It still happens to be blank/black . I tried it many times , like taking the battery off several times but unfortunatly it still doesn't work . How long would it be to fix this at the repair shop? Like estimated time . Thanks!:)
I just bought a new battery and put it into my Samsung Galaxy S5 phone but the phone will not start at all even though it did 2 weeks ago but not recently. also I cannot get the sim card out and I did remove old battery and did remove sim card, I did hold on button on for one minute and did press power, volume down or volume up and home button etc. nothing works ? prior there was a boot loop and do not interrupt target and a lightning bolt but now nothing. The new battery comes with a small charge but when I put into phone nothing happens now and phone nor battery will charge?

I had a dead screen on my s5 mini. I was able to locate where the connector under the screen was. Top right near the power button. I didn't need to remove the screen. Turns out the connector had just got dislodged when I dropped the phone. After pushing down on the screen at that point in the top right it reconnected and came back to life. Try that if these steps don't work!

I did it.. I remove my battery and put it on 7 times . i almost give up.. Suprisingly.. When the last try.. I open it and when i lokk at it its already working. Thnx to god.. Its working
and what if your screen is completely cracked, my phone fell screen first today and all i got is a black screen, i tried this but didn't work it only keeps vibrating and the led light flickers.
I have a black screen accompanied by a half/second flicker when it turns on and sometimes when i press the power or home buttons. I dropped the phone. I'm guessing something is loose.

Mines worked Friday when I held the volume button down, then took the battery out. It did it today as well but turned off about 6 hours ago and won't come back on. The Samsung logo kept coming on and off about 3 hours ago, and now nothing works.

My problem started with my S5 starting to slow down lagging apps and slow app starts and data loading. Then it wouldn't send texts when I hit send, I'd have to do it multiple times. Restarting didn't help. Then my touch screen started acting up I couldn't unlock it all the time. FInally one day when I would try to use it the buttons on the bottom would light up but the screen wouldn't come on. Tried restarting it and nothing. So I tried your trick and it didn't work. I had to do a master reset 4 times before it reset the phone. Now it works fine just like new. The operating system was corrupt is my best guess. There was no change in hardware or software for months before that.
How do you reconnect the cable to the screen. It works but no screen. I tried the upper right corner squeeze and it didn't work. Last time I took it in the guy said it came unplugged. He reconnected and worked just fine.

I need more help, I watch a lot if your videos, and tried everything. My s5 will vibrate and make sounds sometimes and will have a blue notification light. But the screen doesn't turn on. All this does is discharge any remaining current in the circuits. I have this problem and I have pretty much given up hope now. The LED comes on and the lights at the bottom come on but the screen stays black. I hadn't dropped it or anything.
