Yes, fixed mine, same issue. 1st charge, I'll update if I've to do this on every charge 👍❤🍻 48 hrs later 19/10/20 - Charges fine, no need to keep resetting...phew👍 ......well.....96hrs later 21/10/20....problem is back, kept phone extremely dry, it's never ever been in contact with any water/moisture?..it lives in my pocket 99% of the time, only put on side of bed in evening/bedtime? Has the new update got anything to do with this global reset, making sure we all carry an up to date mobile ( seriously) this is f**king ridiculous!!!! 😏🤬✌❤🍻 14/11/20 - a couple of days later, my phone started to improve, now the fault has gone, all but occasionally when I plug a charger cable it tells me it's not connected, but I reverse it and it's fine - sorry 4 the late update ✌❤🍻
I also try this method but the error still appear everytime i unplug those charger the error will still appear i need to turn off and on the unit just to remove the error I try to clean the port using NEEDLE only removing all dirt inside the port And as of now i think it works for me
Thank you SO SO MUCH!!! My poor husband kept actually thinking he had actual moisture in his phone....for days. I told him that wasn't even possible. I even cleaned the USB with 90% rubbing alcohol and it still came back to that notification. This worked. Thank you!!!!!
I might be two years later to the party but there's a party at my house right now cos this has worked for me! The phone didn't get wet, wasn't in the bathroom during showering or sweating in my pcket but this "moisture in USB port" error kept coming up. I managed to get one charge a day for a few days and then nothing. This has enabled me to charge and get the most current backup off of the phone so thank you so much dude, really, thank you. Hopefully, it'll keep working a bit longer as well.
You're the hero, no s8 owners asked for. But the hero we all needed. my local shop where gonna charge me £250 for port and screen (its cracked) and said that the only way of fixing it. Snakes.
Mine was fully dead and it wouldn’t charge until I did this method Yet he did press the bixby button But I did try and google my issue and it said it takes 24 hours for it to dry
Thanks for sharing, I actually tried this method with an S9 and it worked, after six months of wireless charging, it was out of warranty not even T-Mobile was able to help me, and people, don't try factory reset because it won't work and you're gonna end up restoring settings, apps etc. manually. Thanks again.
i didn't get a chance to try this technique, because the error symbol vanished while I was watching your video. so I'm going to thank you for that magic trick.
My phone wasn’t working or charging for a week now but watching your video intuitions fixed it … I was to send it to repair tomorrow aww thank you so so much
after 4 days of no charging. finally I am able to get this piece of electronics working. Thank you so much for this tip. I am using an S9+ ... so would work for anyone having that phone too
It worked, thank god. I took a hot shower and my phone by no means came into contact with the water, but it died (i was playing music) and so when it told me moisture was detected after i tried charging my phone (in another room, not the shower) i tried blowing the moisture out, using a fluffy brush to absorb the moisture, etc. I'm glad this worked. No other videos seemed to be as helpful
thanks for the support!! the EXACT same issue happen to my LG - showering and the steam from the water cause my phone to have the moisture issue - after a day or 2 it went back to normal. i guess the more expensive these phones are now a days the more delicate they have become - go FIGURE! lol like comment and SUBSCRIBE :-)
Tried all these suggestions & more, nothing worked until I read a Reddit post which suggested plugging it into a PC/laptop and it started charging normally, then took the lead out from the pc & plugged in the 45w charger & bingo! For some reason plugging it into the laptop/PC seems to sort it out.
Thanks, this saved me from pulling out my hair today. I'm using a Galaxy S10 and just wanted to add, for anyone watching this, I had to hold down the bixby button + the power button. Not the volume down button. Hope the clarification helps someone down the line
So glad I found this video. It helps me a lot. My phone was dead for two days and a half and I tried a couple of times to figured out what else to do but thanks anyway. You saved me tonight.
Definitely works, thanks. I did get water in the charging port the other day accidentally, carrying a bag of wet mulch which drained all over me and into my pocket. The charging end of the phone was saturated. I tried to dry it all out, but the error kept popping up, also wondered if water/moisture got into the USB port also when I plugged it in...
Thank you so much. I was getting worried as the moisture icon wasn't leaving and I was getting a low battery. I just did what you shared and it worked! Woo hoo. Back in action. Does this cause damage if there is in fact moisture? THANKS again!
OMG....my guy, thank you for this video.....You are a complete lifesaver. I'm in Punta Cana and since I have the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and it was said I can get in the water I did. For 3 days after it was good. all of a sudden it decided that it was detecting water...and wouldn't charge. I was literally sick.....then I thought let me go on google to see if there is a way to bypass this annoying crap. Your video popped up. I took blind faith and did as you said and to my surprise...it WORKED!!!!! I'm so happy and thank full. Now I can take more pics....Thanks, King!
Thanks a lot bro... i have been wondering what will i do with it... in this lockdown time no mobile shops were open as well.... so just thought of searching on youtube and found this,,,, i donno how to thank u for solving this big issue with such a small trick.. hats off
Man good shit wow all other videos had crazy ass solutions. Love your straight and to the point real repair that actually works!! Nice thanks dude. Execelent video
I had this problem for about 5 months until 3 weeks ago when I got fed up with it. All you need is rubbing alcohol, a spare toothbrush electric or other, and a hair dryer. Dip the brush in the alcohol and scrub inside the usb port for about 10-15 minutes dipping repeatedly. Then once you can see either on the bristles or with a flashlight that it is now clean inside you use the hair dryer. Set it to medium or low and blow dry holding the phone so that the usb port is facing down towards the ground for about 10 minutes. Then wait 5 minutes plug it in and voila no more issues. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't had the error once. Almost feels like a brand new phone! Cheers all hope this helped you!
@@zak526 I've done that 3 times in the last week. That will only work if your port is dirty. If it's the much more common software issue, that wont help.
@gadgets123 You're a lifesaver man, thank you so much, my phone's back to where it was for now, I still need a new phone, but for now I'm not quite ready, but thanks again 👍👍
OMG life saving video and solution...well done. Although very strange that in las t month so many have suddenly had similar issues. Wonder if it is caused by recent update???????
Thank you bro I have been looking for a video but all I got was not nothing so I went on and saw this video and it helped me soo much thank you soo much for letting us know that we can do something like this
This is a great solution. I believe the moisture sensor in my S8 Active was malfunctioning while the phone was dead. I couldn't power it on to clear the error. But, when I used your method, the phone immediately turned on and is happily charging once again. Thank you so much for the video!
Dude... Thank you so much. I just went to the beach and got my phone there and the same problem happened to me but instead it kept not charging even after it dried it.. But then i tried ur solution and it worked THANK U SO SO MUCH
@@gadgets123 I tried it it didn't work for me i think it's something else wrong with it i tried restarting it and it just end up with a black screen and vibrates but when i plug it back in it stops doing that and charges but i checked the other videos last night and it looks like some of that stuff probably works they had like a alcohol tissue and a toothpick and stick the tissue to the toothpick and clean the port and the hole next to it i might try it or otherwise have someone else to do it for me so it won't be worse this moisture detected I'm still having a problem with it but your advice was really good i thought it would work for me lol
I can’t believe it just worked 😅😅, you’re a life saver man 🙌🏾🙌🏾 thought my charging port was gone after a sudden downpour caught me at the bus station.
