@@hridyasingla As always a slight biased review, you don't call it king because you know it has best capacity ,You call it when you can actually use it. When the potential is finally unlocked then you can declare it as Emperor if not King !! I don't know why This channel always dilutes competetion's potential.Any consumer who bought this would use this for few years down the lane.They just wouldn't consume media , They would draw sometimes, take notes sometimes, watch videos, surf web , play games and do much more all those years. Flexibility with apple is just horrible I would simply outline few cases where it is clearly evident s8 is the winner 1) for a student who wants to watch classes and take notes at the same time (you can simply connect this tab to a tv, any monitor available out there wirelessly/wired) and watch video through dex and take notes on the tab entire screen simultaneously 2) Similarly for an artist who could watch this reference picture on another display while drawing 3) for a professional who could three screens to monitor his stocks, crypto while browsing for news at the same time while playing a news channel on his monitor 4) For a working professional who could properly attend meetings from the properly aligned front camera 4) Screen Sharing presentation by using this tab as second screen from his windows corporate laptop and using Spen to highlight parts of this presentation on the tab at the same time reading the bullet points he prepared earlier on his laptop screen. 5) Using Dex - Just having that desktop experience if you had a bluetooth keyboard lying around or just playing a game with keyboard and mouse. 6) Possibilities of using this tab is endless , you will definitely use pen type input in long Run where you had to sign, highlight, take a small screen shot or part of video as gif or when you had to remotely control you tab without paying more as SPen is Included. 7)What is the point of buying a device that is over 000 dollars whose functionality is of a normal low end i pads can do and even apple laptops costs less this.It's like having a car that can do 250 miles per hour but capped at 80 miles per hour. 8)While pre ordering you can get the case for free or everytime when you buy samsung offers one of its own products as freebies like book cover, nice earphones etc. which is a steal. 9)Samsung declared 4 years of major software updates given that both android and apple is changing less and less every year.After 4 years of major software updates and many more years of security updates isn't is future proof.

The iPad works amazingly the box came a little dirty, ru-vid.comUgkxUGaHtKW8MwCql2fPyIm9-ftTqSMzKFFA no plastic wrap, but the box was sealed and had everything else in the box along with the wrapping, the iPad itself is gorgeous, I got the yellow 64g game storage is good for me along with Socials and school stuff. No scratches or marks came with the charger and box fast speed, and if you are buying a pen get the 1st gen don’t make the mistake I did !!

I Don't think Samsung made this tablet to be the tablet king but for it to be the most flexible tablet with the most features whilst maintaining portability. As an apple user this seemed a little biased as people like myself don't use iPads as a computer but as an everyday day work load machine and for that reason BOTH do an amazing job and ill be waiting for my S8 Ultra to arrive.

I was honestly hoping that he would be less bias than usual for this comparison and just like that … I was 💯 percent wrong … the iPad Pro may be superior in performance but it’s means nothing when the software is purposefully limited to not crossing the “almost MAC” arena ….In my personal history The iPad is good for certain things whether it’s $300 iPad to $1200 iPad Pro but it doesn’t offer much that separates it from the iPhone (for me ) but Samsung galaxy tablets since the Galaxy Tab S3 has offered a near pc experience and the Tab S4 brought DEX so it’s 🍎 and 🍊 for me

Nice video. Apple fanboy here, I have the iPad Pro M1 12.9 but this is still the same conclusion for years now: almost nobody choose between a Samsung and an Apple product based on the hardware specs only, but on their preferences regarding the ecosystem and the usages. And at this level, I'm pretty sure both of them do the job, whatever might be the benchmark results. The iPad is a powerhouse for sure, but it lacks a lot of the features the Samsung tablets can offer, we have to admit that. So what the point of so much power if it can't do half of what the competition is doing? Would be great to do a "software capabilities" comparison video tho.

I agree, but for some of us the very relevant parameter is how long can you keep the tablet without it becoming sluggish POS. I kept my iPad Pro 9,7 from 2016 and then I upgraded to M1. That’s 5 years.

Exactly if so they still would say Ipad Pro if only did one thing it did better that is why I don't watch Mr Whoseboss videos on phone reviews anymore if you look at the end of the videos he does iPhone reviews he just simple says Apple Apple Apple , when you clearly see the differences or see Samsung has improve its technology extensively and the way they have implemented Android 12, can't wait to see what they do with Android 13 and throws the review to Apple , so I watch these reviews now just see how people do their comparisons now and you can see they cater more to Apple even if they are an Android user in their day to day lives we may never know some people come on RU-vid just Cape and bait and Switch for Apple fans...because they try to get the most views 😉 🙄 not it anymore Android professional Apps coming Luma fusion is not the only one

DEX is the killer feature for the Samsung Tabs and phones; speed doesn't matter once you reach a certain level, and the Tab S7+ is much nicer for everyday use than my gaming laptop. S20FE is almost exactly the same as the TAb when using DEX.

Dex is awesome, and if you think its for playing games your wrong. Its for actually being productive and efficient like a desktop os like MacOS or windows. There is no such thing as mobile high end games, even with the ipads great benchmarks its a drop in the bucket compared to the graphical performance of a modern console or Gaming PC.

Regarding the keyboard case for the Tab S8 Ultra, Samsung has been including it with the purchase of the tablet since preorders began. They may no longer be offering it , but getting the keyboard case for free is a pretty sweet deal, and I believe the deal ran for an entire month.

They should go with the ultrasonic 3D gen 2 fingerprint sensor in the tabs now that they are expensive and 1 thing tech reviewers usually forget to mention is that tab s7+ and s8+ and s8 ultra have in-display fingerprint and face ID both.

After watching maybe 12 of these comparison videos and reading multiple reviews I finally went to a local Best Buy. Watched the same RU-vid video on both tablets. It wasn’t even close. The Samsung was like watching a beautiful TV screen, the iPad was like watching a slightly bigger tablet. For me, one video was all it took and all the stats and speed tests didn’t mean a thing.

I’m curious how fast using a SD card is on average on the Samsung versus the iPad Pro’s internal storage. I know it’s going to be slower, mostly just curious by how much and how noticeable it is.

SD cards are about as fast as hard disks. The ipad pro, like most other mobile devices, uses nvme storage.

As an Apple fanboy, and owner of M1 MBA, Surface Pro 8 and Samsung Ultra, all I can say is that I am having the most FUN with the Samsung! The other 2 devices are complete workhorses. The size, display quality and speed work well together and make this a great device for media consumption.

I’m not a fanboy either way, but I have both the ipad 11 Pro and the Tab S8 Plus. In spite of the lower benchmarks as mentioned in this video, I can honestly say that they are highly comparable in day to day use where it concerns speed of operation when using RU-vid, Netflix, email, and internet browsing. Both tablets just feel very snappy and never slow. As I am sensitive to bright light and I tend to use both tablets with low brightness settings, I feel that the screens are also more or less comparable. The Samsung does have better blacks, when viewed in a dark environment. Both displays are sharp yet also very smooth. But I do feel that Oled is more uneven in terms of hue uniformity. White and grey backgrounds are perfectly even with iPad while the Tab not only changes hue depending on the viewing angle, but also looks ever so slightly smudgy when viewed straight from above. I even had to return the first one I bought due to a yellowish discoloration on the left side. With the replacement, it’s still not perfect, but it’s easily even enough for me to not have an issue with this. That said, the smaller 11 inch Tab S8 that I tried before the larger models uses a low-quality LCD screen (not IPS) and this really shows. This was actually the reason for me to step up to the 12,4-inch model, not so much the larger size, although I definitely do love that large screen now.

@@sayedsadat2022 I can certainly see your point and that's just a matter of preference. I primarily use a tablet for mail, browsing, and RU-vid. I don't watch movies and only the occasional series episode. Therefore, for me, the 11-inch iPad screen ratio works better than the 11-inch Tab S8. Of course, with 2388 x 1668 versus 2560 x 1600 for the 11-inch S8, the iPad has slightly more pixels vertically, but the S8 is also less efficient with its menu/status/multiscreen bars and thus you see less content vertically than with the iPad. This was also a reason for me to upgrade to the larger model. I also found that with certain apps, both Samsung tablets zoom in more than the iPad meaning that you don't actually see more of the apps in spite of the Samsung's higher horizontal resolution. With the 12,4-inch Tab S8 Plus, however, at 2800 x 1752, there is even more resolution both horizontally and vertically. With this tablet, my aforementioned reservation goes out of the window and I absolutely love the extra space when using two windows side by side.

@@skumarw7810 I don't normally get headaches but I have sensitive eyes but am not getting strain with either the iPad or the Tab S8 Plus. Not sure if it would matter, but do you have it set to 120Hz refresh? Also, perhaps it will help to set it not too brightly. As I only use it in dim light situations, I have the S8's brightness lever set to about one centimeter up from its minimum position.

Was Atmos switched on for the Tab S8 ultra? I have both in hand and the S8U definitely gets louder with atmos on, but the ipad has slightly deeper bass. Also the soundstage seems winder on the S8U, likely due to it's bigger size. It's important to show that setting in the video itself during the comparisons

@@TomTomdog I think at the moment Netflix is capped to 1080P on both so looked sharper on the iPad and RU-vid looked great on both, perhaps a little sharper on ipad. On paper the ipad has a slightly higher PPI, but when it comes to watching content the S8U is so much more enjoyable.

I've been looking at the 2 tablets but what I'm finding hard to decide is the apple picture looks bettering clarity and no redish look like s8 ultra is anyone seeing that is there a way to fix this on s8 ultra I'll be using this mostly for streaming example baseball or concerts etc and the I pad seems clearer not much help which 2 choose based on screen

You still have to be able to use M1 performance on a tablet and that's a limited use case scenario (same for Android with Snapdragon). It would be better to look how both tablets are limited by their software. If iPad could do macOS or alike, it would be a significant shift in value. To some extent similar thing if Android tablet offered Linux desktop (above Dex).

you can run ubuntu on dex, so that automatically increases the amount of possibilities for a samsung. performance might suck, but you can build your workflow around that. whereas with ipad pro, you actually have great performance, but the company(apple) is refusing to allow even remotely similar features found in native macOS.

The HDR content on the iPad is better, however the overall screen, I prefer the S8 Ultra - also the white balance on the iPad just seems weird, with a yellowish tint. I also prefer the speakers on the S8 ultra, which I've tried in store, the iPad does have deeper base, but it bleeds into the midsection. The processing power of course goes to iPad and if you are editing content then that's a big advantage 🕺

Right now, I have both of them in front of me. Even though HDR is much better on the iPad and Its sharper and smoother, I will keep the Tab Ultra. The Multitasking is better and big screen just feels super immersive for Media consumption. Both are really great devices with different usecases.

I use DEX mode and having the ability to use this pretty close as a laptop is a total win. I run DEX wireless on my 82 inch TV or HDMI to a monitor. Something iPad has yet offered.

Ipad definitely has better speakers but overall the S8 ultra will do what I need while allowing for maximum customization. Task intensive work is better performed on a MacBook. The micro sd card slot is a huge plus for Samsung. Too bad they removed it from their flagship phones.

Why do the two Samsung front-facing cameras have audio that different? Do they use different microphones or is there something else that makes the audio so radically different? The audio was so much better when you used the 4K camera and sounded very weak and distant when using the ultrawide.

@Christian Hubens Not sure if you've used one, but Android is more configurable and looks better than IOS on a tablet. Less wasted space than IOS. While there are some apps that don't look great because they're designed for phones, those are few.

I bought the iPad 3 back ages ago and sold it for a Microsoft Surface. I came back to the iPad 6th gen in 2018 and found it extremely useful and user friendly. I got an iPad Pro 2020 12.9" last year before the M1 came out (from work) and love it. It was amazing. When I gave it back coz I resigned, I bought the 11" M1 iPad pro. Honestly, I don't think I would go to any other kinds of tablets even though iPad OS is not as strong as software like DEX. But, I do all the heavy work on my Macbook and do the day to day tasks on my iPad. So light and convenient! RELIABLE too!

I use both, but my iPad is the 11 inch M1. Samsung dex is the game changer for most. Not screen, not bench marks, not sound, not speed tests, etc. It's user experience. Both are great but I'd still side with Apple only because the pro apps are built for the iPad and the Apple magic keyboard is just a way better experience. But I love what Samsung is doing and only getting better

The mini led screen is garbage tier compared to OLED for content consumption. Max is reviewing in an extremely bright room. You don't review HDR content in a bright room. The battery life of the M1 iPad pro also is very poor and mine only lasts 5 hours for 1080p SDR content at 60Hz cap. Type in m1 iPad pro battery life in Google and see the many many threads of our disappointment in the product.

I personaly preferd the s8 ultra over the ipad pro (i've just bought it) not just because of the size as a laptop but also because of the DEX function what allows me to use it as a laptop, also its have an SD card slot (up to 1 T.B), a BIG ASS SCREEN, a way better cameras (front & rear), better multitasking, exelent audio with DOLBY ATMOS, a perfect display ratio for media, and its got an S PEN in the box (perfect for editing). So what if the M1 ipad pro have a huge prosessing capacity or a better keyboard, in the end you dont have to buy the most powerful tablet (like the M1 IPAD PRO) you have to buy the best tablet for your personal preferences and for your daily use.

I want the S8 Ultra but I wish they changed the button to a touch sensor button that you can press 360° around like the apple pencil and also a tip that tapers less steeply for angling more comfortably. I guess it is possible for a third party s pen like this but I don't think one exists.

I have both and I wouldnt focus too much on that, I do like the apple pencil touch button but I also accidentally hit it. The S pen while is little bit more effort to use doesnt get the accidental activation. Also the programmability of that S button is kinda nuts, from the air actions to I can program up to 10 clicks to different action. There is third party S pens out there and some are pretty high end. The bigger difference that could matter is the size of each. S pen is closer to a pencil or normal pen, apple pencil is more like a thick pen

Thickness means more volume those devices are thicker so they have more space to have bettter sound, i guess that's why...

It has to do with the thickness. The tab s8 is much thinner than both the ipad and tab s7. This means that the speakers will be flat and there won't be much room for the diaphragm to move and vibrate air, causing it to be less loud as compared to the other tablets.

iPads may be more powerful, but Apple limits the usability of this power. Also I compared my old Samsung Tab S3 to the iPad Pro M1 11 & 12.9 last night just to watch a movie. The colors and the sound were better on my old Samsung tablet. Both the iPads had issues with sound consistency, where the sound would randomly get quieter then louder. And both displays looked as though they had a gray film over them, even at their brightest the color and true blacks could not compare with my old Tab S3. Because of this I'm gonna get a tablet from the Samsung Tab S8 series and return the iPads.

I would also recommend the Microsoft Surface Pro 8, in addition to the ones you listed. Avoid the iPad Pro. My worst tech purchase ever. The basic iPad is great value despite how poor the OS is.

I'm answering you from a Tab s8 Ultra and the answer is that simply it isn't as bad as he describes and shows it. Yes it is a thing, but can notice it only if you are looking at the screen from weird angles and with a lot of surrounding lights or direct sunlight. But if you use your tablet from a 120° angle or more then it is a problem.

It's funny I own the last gen iPad pro ( didn't see a need to upgrade ) and the tab S8 plus But prefer s8 more I will say the iPad is a more pro device but as you said Apple locks it were the s8 is an open and even if it's running an under clock 8 gen 1 chip in everyday performance the average consumer won't see the difference in performance now if you are a pro for example a photographer the would be the bees knees ( always wanted to say that ) In my case I use my tab S8 plus as my heads up display in my car And I use it for game with emulation I'm a big retro gamer but I use my ipad for work I'm a maintenance engineer Great video as always

I've been wanting to get one of those 2.5k displays that you put over your rear view mirror and can see every angle for driving with no blind spots etc. just curious how far you took it. thanks!

You're basing your decision on processing power? Most of us don't render CGI on our tablets. I have a Galaxy Tab S7+ (Snapdragon 865), and I'm not upgrading to the S8 because I'm not doing anything where the faster processor would actually improve anything I do. And to be honest, I don't think most iPad users are doing anything with that extra horsepower either. If you're going to base your decision on the SoC/CPU, then the efficiency of the M1 is a much bigger deal than the processing power. ironically, Samsung's own Exynos is catching up to Apple's M1 better than Snapdragon processors on the efficiency front. Personally, I think the Samsung tablet is better at productivity, so that's where I'm at. If video conferencing were more important to me, the Tab S8 series (all 3 of them) would be better choices than iPad or frankly most laptops. Digital artists seem to be split between the 12.9" iPad Pro and the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.

Android "caught up" with Apple a long time ago in terms of phones, but never in tablet market. Since last year with the Tab S7 lines, though, Android tablets finally became viable. Especially with increasing Windows integration, Samsung Tab S7-S8 lines are a great, if not better, alternative to iPads (finally).

It simply a chicken and egg. Ipad has more user so developers will come flocking. As apps improve, more user will come. Unless google plans to improve android L nothing will change and the gap will continue to increase. Given the recent announce form google with their own tablet. I dont see things improving for the android side. Google tablet looks like smarthome device rather than a productivity on the go device.

Go watch a non apple fanboy's review. This review is bias. Most other reviewers declare the screen on the s8 ultra way better for media consumption, and the speaker richer in sound. The response time on the s8 ultra is 2.9ms compared to 9ms on the iPad so it is also more responsive. I can't believe this guy is still saying the blacks on the iPad are deeper and blacker, when the oled screen on the s8 is literally turning off pixels to achieve blacks lol.

Hmm... The display is tied, I mean sure, OLED gives you no blooming and deeper blacks, but it also doesn't allow the 1600 peak brightness and lasts longer, plus, it has to be admitted, the anti-reflective coating on Apple displays definitely help with deeper blacks. In terms of speakers, the S8 ultra is inferior, I mean, it has nice loud and rich speakers, but it lacks treble quality and mids, the bass overpowers them too much, which is good for some music, but it really sucks in many other types of music. For 2.9 latency speed, it doesn't matter, the screen latency speed is like 8.7 latency speed, so you would not take advantage of the latency speed at all, if the screen has a latency of 2.9ms, maybe it will make a difference, but for now, definitely not

although i have the older ipad pro 12.9(2018 model) and not the latest M1 version, so, the entire display/audio/cam issues hold against the S8 Ultra, but where the samsung shines, is the built in DeX, which beats the iPad hands down. it is literally a laptop replacement.

For me having both well had both as I sold the ipad 12.9, the samsung overall wasa better multitaksing and video experience for me. Also if you pre ordered the samsung you get that 349 dollar keyboard case included for "free". Dex is highly underrated and I absolutely love it. The m1 chip is a waste due to being limited by ipad os. In this situation id rather have a tab s8 ultra and a proper macbook. The fact that you stated that mini led is showing better black levels than samsungs oled is ludicrous. sure in direct light mini led is better but i typically use a tablet in a room or office so its a non issue for me and the contrast is infinite. if you rely solely on benchmarks sure the ipad and iphone will always be better for now, but in real life usage i didnt have any issue with either and could not tell the difference. Not to mention the micro sd card expandable storage is awesome. Take a step back off apples nuts for a second and be real. All of your reviews are having apple be some dominate thing which is why i am unsubbing not that you care. but until you give better and more fair comparisons ill swipe left and keep moving. Oh and also for me yes the front camera placement and quality is way better on the samsung. Portrait mode placed cameras on a tablet is downright dumb.

What are you using your tablet for, im honesty confused for why people buy them. I get iPad Pro [or iPad Air M1] people work on them, do video editing, LumaFusion can create professional video and supports 10Bit HDR files. Also people get iPad pros to professionally edit photos, but i think you can edit photos on Android too, but still apple has an edge in both cases. If you dont do any of that, why do you need a tablet? At home you have PC you can usei t to watch movies, in bed you can turn on TV If you need something portable get a laptop, if you apple fan get macbook air, if you need it for work, get macbook pro or windows laptop with 3090 and 12900K But what else? My mom is tech illiterate, shes a pensioner, she uses a tablet to watch YT and chat app with her sister, thats it, she doesn't need a PC, but someone that has a PC?

As about the brightness, the S8 Ultra can go up to 600 nits if you turn on auto- brightness (without it is indeed limited to 400 nits), however with HDR content the measured peak brightness is 800 nits (you need to activate the bright video mode in the advanced featues for this) which is insane as most of the modern OLED TV-s can't reach this level. So yeah, screen- ways it IS a monster and content consumption is a dream on it.

If I were to get a tablet for media consumption, I'd get the Samsung but if I were using it for media/graphics work, I may get Apple but it depends which apps I need. Considering that I use a Samsung phone, and a MacBook Air, I would be happy with either. (But the SPen with it's remote features and it already being included is a big plus to me.)
