Thanks for such a thorough unbiased review. This is extremely useful information. Also love that you use the regular S23 like I do. We are in the minority but just love the size its not so heavy and clunky.
@JSyntax there's the tap, double tap, triple tap, and ball your hand in a fist gesture under accessibility. That allows you to navigate around the watch, select items, go back a page, etc.
I tried it but I found it too clunky. I just wish we had apples new double tap on the hand gesture that they recently introduced. I find the wrist gesture to invoke my Google Assistant to not be very dependable or very clunky as well
Great video, i was vascillating between a 5 pro, 6 classic and the 6 44mm, however after this video i went into the store and compared sizes, and realised that the 40 mm, was a good choice..I have ordered my 40 mm, thank you for the informative video.
Very good, well thought out, detailed, useful info review. I thought the camera function was gimmicky but this is the first explanation I’ve seen for using it to frame shots for youtube videos. Seems like a great idea. I think maybe the larger classic model would be even more useful in that use-case. BTW, I have the s23 plus. Possibly smaller minority than s23 owners.
Thank you for the comprehensive review. I got this Watch 6 as a surprise grit from Samsung when I ordered my S23 Ultra. It came separately without a notice or an invoice ($0.00 email invoice). This review was very useful.
I used sleep mode for about a week, wondering how accurate it was, it seemed OK and then I had the worst sleep of my life, awake virtually all night, and Watch 6 gave me a 90% rating. I don't bother with it anymore, massive breach of trust.
Love my watch 6 pro. Like you I have sleep apnea and I credit my watch trigger me to schedule a sleep study. I started to see my oxygen level drop into the 80's and some nights even into the high 70's and the snoring app was capturing heavy snoring. Since starting CPAP therapy my SoP rarely drops below 91.
@@bahez511 When I wake up in the morning I put my watch on the charger while getting ready for work. Doing this each morning I get through the day and through to the next morning with normally about 50% charge.
Hey J, nice review! For weight lifting, the watch allows you to leave your phone behind, listen to music (over bluetooth) and keep track of what set you're on (using a counter app), and even time your rest periods. I'm surprised that you didn't find it useful in the gym.
Wow! Such a complete review! Thanks for sharing with us your experience with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6. Personally, I have a better idea of which model should I get.
@@JSyntax I'm going for the Watch 6 Classic in black 🙃. Just hoping the one I got comes without a defective strap. In other videos they also mentioned about that watch almost falling down from the wrist. So I guess this is a common issue.
Same deal only from a Dutch phone provider (technically from samsung themselves, since you need to apply for the watch on their site. With the s22 ultra I got samsung buds, which I love and use quite often, the process was the same though and it took a month or two for them to finally deliver the product. You need to apply with your products codes and take pictures etc. Wait a few weeks for them to check the validity of your application. Then wait another 6 to 7 weeks to get your product. In the Netherlands with certain providers you get a watch and 120 cashback for 512 and 250 cashback for 1tb. I got 512 because the wording on the site made it seem like you didn't get the watch with the base ultra, which I found out later isn't true. You just don't get the cashback. But since the cashback is roughly equivalent to what you pay extra for the storage. I kinda am switching between regret that I got 512, when I will probably not use that much storage anyway. And regret that I didn't get the 1tb since it's technically a free upgrade and sh.. why not go 4k60fps for all my videos from now on lol
@JSyntax I recommend the Samsung Fit2 or Fit3 as a lightweight activity tracker for when you're skateboarding or doing sports. It's lightweight, extremely cheep, syncs perfectly with Samsung Health, and the battery lasts for a week (with constant day and night health tracking). I think it might be what you're looking for to compliment your Watch6. I've been using the Fit2 as my daily watch/fitness tracker since 2021 when I bought it new for £40 and I've been very happy with it. I'm now considering buying a refurbished Watch6, but not sure its worth it for the added functionality of NFC and GPS (not present on the Fit series). One of the main things holding me back is inconvenience of charging the Watch6 every day. I might just stick with my Fit2, or maybe upgrade to the Fit3.
I thought about that idea of having two watches one for sports and one for regular day-to-day wear in fact I was going to keep my Galaxy watch 6 and buy the Galaxy watch 7 and have both but I ended up trading in my Galaxy watch 6 for the 7 I guess at the end of the day I don't really care too much to know my full health metrics because I don't trust the underlying Foundation perhaps Fitbit on Google is better but I'm hoping for a day where there's more improve interoperability between all these devices algorithms improve so that I can get better accurate results that's not to say I don't appreciate the health tracking metrics on my current watch 7 which is very helpful for my sleep measurements
Hello from Portugal 🇵🇹✌Great video, by the way, thank you 😁 I'm thinking about buying one just like yours, but I'm a bit afraid because, as you and other RU-vidrs said it, it is not very precise in same health features, but I will probably get one anyways, because it has so many amazing others and I think I would really love having one. What I wanted to ask you is if the fact that is the smaller one difficults sending messages or searching on Play Store, for example. I mean "writing" on a smartwatch it's not natural, but it's amazing, and I'm afraid of that, because I have a really small wrist and I think if I choose the bigger one, it will look weird, but on the other hand, if I choose the smaller one, it could difficult that action. I hope you can understand my question, sorry if I made some mistakes. Once again, thank you, have a nice day and keep on doing your job. You just got one more subscriber from Portugal 😁
I have the watch 4 that I wear faily frequently (but I do have about 15 watches). I think its an alright product but this barely looks any different. The screen is kind of nicer (kind of) but it barely does anything different that I remotely care about. I bought it becasuse it was cheap but from what I see this costs way more than what I paid when this was new. I would just pay twice that price and get a fenix or something. Its nice to have a watch for running but I barely wear it for anything else.
Thanku so much for this review. And showing the 40mm on your wrist and explaining why you prefer it. And all the aspects of the watch. Don’t stop your videos!
@@JSyntaxI actually found a 15watt charger that only has a USB a port and luckily I have a USB c to USB a dongle. Just hope the dongle supports at least 15watts. Thank you for mentioning the link though!
That's the thing I always wanted to see how much it would try to start working as u know maybe it would of us and ya maybe I could try to do it another time or day
I got this watch given to me as a gift. I thought it would be great to know your blood pressure at anytime. Like you said, you have to buy a regular blood pressure checking machine to calibrate the watch. What a stupid idea, an expensive watch but you need to calibrate it. I wouldn't have bought it for myself knowing that.
the secondary charging would be useful when you don't have your watch charger but you do have the phone charger, plug the phone it and hang your watch off the back of it ....going to try that right now !
Good One. I bougth the regular watch 4 instead of Classic. But after changing the Haptic feedback and light weight option. Felt good. More over i am using this as to reduce distraction from Phone
JSyntax New to your channel. What a Wonderful in-depth review of not only Samsung but Garmin as well.Glad i caught this.Definitely great video to recommend for anyone dealing with sleep issues.Wish you the best.Have a Safe July 4th.💯✌️
Doom-scrolling. I'm glad they have a name for it. As for the watch, I've just ordered the silver classic 43. Worried about the bulk but I just couldn't say no to the scrolling bezel.
Thanks for the review mate. I'm getting one of these for free with my s24 ultra, it'll probably take another month or two for samsung to deliver them (was my experience with the free buds I got with the s22 ultra). I never wanted a smart watch. But as someone with extreme and chronic insomnia I hope this watch can help shed some light on my sleeping behavior and my usage will probably be a lot like yours. As someone that hasn't even ever considered a smart watch, now I'm getting one for free I'm wondering why I didn't buy one earlier to track sleep and also use my phone less. (which is somehting I've been working hard at). Was almost tempted to buy the classic wifi and sell the 40 regular LTE one, mainly for the bezel but also because it's slightly bigger. But after watching this review I'm excited for the regular one. Maybe I'll buy a rotating bezel when they release the watch 7 or 8 (if I end up using the watch 6) ps. I'm also kinda excited to try all the watch faces etc Kinda hope I can find a cool pipboy one lol.
I just traded my GW 4 Classic 46mm for the new GW 6 44mm due to the weight difference. When Samsung makes the Classic out of titanium, I'll get it again.
I still have S3 Frontier, it is going to be 8 years and a battery life is still up to 3 days. It makes everything needed... from my bus nfc card to altimerer when hiking, regular swiming in a pool or sea, listening music...phone calls... yes 8 years.
I don't understand why they got rid of the metal bezel? now the screen is under attack, not protected. I would switch to 6, but looking at this, I'd rather stay on my 3
I have the older watch 5, the difference seems to be minimal between the two, if youre getting either for the sleep tracker, get an apple watch instead. If you dont have a samsung phone, you will have constant disconnection issues all the time, with a samsung phone there are 0 issues. AMA if you want unbiased answer.
I've had tic watch since the first ticwatch pro 4g back when it was literally the very first smart watch with 4g LTE built in and I was shocked by how no one knew what it was and even now its still pretty relatively unknown yet its such a bad ass wear o.s. watch and I may say the best from that time. I still use it and despite not having all the sensors newer watches have it has everything you really would want out of a smart watch other then the mostly useless sensors. It still gets better battery life then any of my watches and what's even sadder my gear s3 frontier is second place with battery life and my watch 6 is last.
I got the galazy watch 4 recently got 60 bycks and it works great and in near mint condition. Besides not having blood pressure sensor it really works well and makea it through 2 days for me even with sleep tracking. They updated the watch 4 to the google update as well which surprised me considering how old the device is.
I just bought Galaxy Watch6 specifically for Blood Pressure Monitoring. However, while ECG displays in Health Monitor, there is no Blood Pressure Monitor available on the screen. Called Samsung and was told that Galaxy Watch6 made in USA does not have the capability to monitor blood pressure - only the international version does. Your video shows Blood Pressure on the Health Monitor on Galaxy Watch6. Do you know whether that's true? Should I return the watch?
Im gald you mention sizes. Most of us cant find these in shops so we use video comparisons to check. You probably have similar buold than me and the 40 looks good on you.
I love my Watch 5 Pro Titanium. I get asked all the time, "What watch are wearing?" "Its beautiful!" Plus I have a beautiful Refurbished S3 Frontier that last 2 days. Nothing compared to my 5 Pro, 4-5 days easily. Sleep app sucks..
In my Watch6, I never have to give PIN to use Samsung pay - just long press back button and tap - in and out of checkout queue in 2 secs flat. So not sure why u are forced to enter PIN. I tried Google pay too but many payment terminals give error for Google pay for some reason but Samsung Pay works flawlessly every time
How's the durability? My watch 4 has taken a beating and it is clearly seen; chipped paint all over, scratches on screen etc. If there's one thing in my life I couldn't help but be clumsy with is my watch. Since this has sapphire glass and a non-black color (graphite is what it is called I believe), I would like to hear how well has it help up.
I have it turn off the display automatically and use the one-touch when I need to see my watch. I get 3 days of battery life with all the other features because I never play with the watch. Plus it was free when I upgraded my phone to Flip-5 💞
Do you have an opinion about durability? I have a versa 2 right now and it is VERY durable and would like a smartwatch that has that level of durability and size.
Hello: Thank you for this video 👍 ONE QUESTION: If I own an Android phone (Motorola , new) , will I be limited in the use of apps & capabilities on my Galaxy watch 6?
You cant use BP and ECG with non samsung phones. But there is a thread on xda forum. You can activate all capabilites even on non samsung phones. Just follow a few steps on the phone and watch.
I would like to have a stand for my Samsung classic 6 watch . The charging cable is too short to plug in and reach my night stand so it charges on the floor.
Any idea why my notifications dont work on my watch 4? Ive tried every and still nothing, no notifications, i dont want to buy a new watch , this one is only 15 months old
