Mannnnnnnnn! I dropped my phone about 2 ft and the front screen went completely black! I tried multiple methods and even accidently called 911 for pressing the power button multiple times ha an it just wasn't working 😕 but then I tried the slapping and the massaging to the front screen then right after doing that I pressed the power and volume button down and next thing you know the Samsung sign came on!!! Aaaaaa I was getting ready to give up and go get it fixed but thank God I found you! Thank you so muchhhhh!!!!!!
OMG! I am in disbelief! This worked for me. The tapping and massaging and slapping worked…I’m shock. Saved me an hour ride to the Samsung store..I’ already on my 2nd phone. Was not looking forward to having to get a 3rd phone. THANK YOU! YOU ARE THE GOAT!
My chipset for the bluetooth and wifi has went out after less than a year. Today my inner screen went black. The tapping method jolted it back to life again, by tapping the back of the phone next to the camera lenses. It still has to be sent in because my wifi and bluetooth are both broken still, and its only a matter of time before my innerscreen blacks out PERMANENTLY. But thank you for helping fix the inner screen for now. Im absolutely livid that i pay damn near $2K for a phone and it just so happens to be the phone that has lasted the LEAST amount of time while babying it the entire time. Hell, back in 2016 i had an HTC 3 that fell into the AC unit, while the fan was spinning, and it had a huge gash in the top of it and the back. Camera, screen, everything still worked. I used that phone for another year before getting a new phone.. Not today. These days you pay x2 what that phone cost, and you get a year (or less) of use before it can possibly go FUBAR on you... Its a sad sad world we live in. Capitalist evil greedy corporations face no repercussions for this. And when they do, its just a slap on the wrist for them. Samsung can sell an absolute garbage fold phone knowing about their glaring limitations, for $2K, because theres no other competitiors. They should be ashamed. Never have i ever had to send a phone off to be repaired. Yet here i am, having to go to walmart to buy a cheap $40 verizon phone to use for work while i send this $2K piece of horse manure in for repairs. Yikes.

Non our these worked for me at the start, I got to the 'massage' method, and, laughed as it seemed impossible that would work, and I couldn't believe it when my front screen popped back on!! Great video, thanks

Hello WorldofTech: You are awesome! Main screen was flicking green and white on various areas of the screen in total random. Last trick worked. Pressure with both fingers 1 cm right and ,5 cm down from the lowest lens resulted in a light click and SOLVED!!! Screen showed up on both main and secondary. Thanks for sharing and helping so many people!!!

Yyyyoooo! Omg! I was a skeptic at first! I tried it like 3-4 times before it worked. It was the massage I think that got it working! I was panicking! My issue was that my inside screen worked but my outer screen didn't! But both are fixed now!!! Thank you king !

It's embarrassing that this worked on a phone this expensive but it did! Tap technique, soft reset then massage worked for me. I heard a click when massaging it and the cover screen came back to life. Thanks for the advice. Super helpful!
OMG, IT WORKED!!! I was pessimistic when everything I tried was not working. The key is to do the reboot guys each time AFTER you try the techniques. Tapping and spamming, then finally rebooting a 3rd time is what worked! Thanks so much🙏

I have to admit, I was skeptical. Followed along through all of the methods wondering if this was all just some kind of prank. Then in my third round of attempts, and reading comments about the finger tap method seeming to be the winner for most, I focused on that, and the screen came back to life. Thanks for the help!
It works!!!! I tried all methods the first night that my screen went black but it didn’t work, I tried a few times after few days it didn’t work but I tried again after like a week or something and it worked for me , the tapping method worked for me especially, I could like hear clicking sounds after after tapping and even take a screenshot of the front screen, the front wasn’t working for me, and then boom one day am just trying it and after force restarting the Samsung logo appeared, I was sooo happy i honestly cannot thank you enough ❤️❤it was my moms phone and i dropped it by mistake

Did a few rounds of this except for the freezer part, which I did only once. No luck. Left it for a week, tried again, sat down looking for phone repair places, and decided to try one more time, got through the full-palm smack. Bingo! Thank you!
The last thing I tried was the freezer and it worked. This guy is awesome, I couldn't sell it or anything not even for parts, but now it works and I want to keep it

Unfortunately I can’t use it when it’s folded anymore bc the screen on the front is comp black & stopped working a while ago.But thx to this video, at least I can use it when it’s opened. Same for me, this phone has been a nightmare. Have it for the last year and a half and it pisses me off with all the problems I had to face (s pen stopped working, black dot on outter screen, apps crashing). Now after the new update it went black . Tried everything on the video and massaging it seemed to work for a couple seconds, but it would suddenly just die on me. Ended up punching it hard and now it works 😂😂😂
I just bought a Samsung Fold 6 (pre ordered). The folding screen works great but I could not get the back screen to come on. I went through all the suggested repairs with no luck....then I noticed a "black protection sticker" covering the back screen....removed and it had been working just fine all this time :D 😀
Thankyou, I wasn't confident which two buttons were the reset buttons and I didn't realise how LOOONG you have to hold them down for but worked at first step, to be fair I was also massaging before I found this video. But I also watched to the end so I know all the tricks for next time XD

This is one of the roughest solutions to fix the unresponsive front screen. I have been experiencing issus with my phone eversince I dropped it. The front screen will just go black or my phone will keep rebooting on its own. Then one day lines appeared on my front screen or even when I fold it will somehow show a little on the inner screen. Then. green lines appeared front screen dead for few days. I tried everything I can, thought it would be 3rd party stoftware conflict, motherboard issue whatever then I tried your tap method and reboot afterwards,...its normal again! Wow a miracle. I hope it's a permanent fixed and I'm so happy now thx
Wow your a life saver. Have an appointment for best buy look at it. Now I can cancel my appointment. Worked like a charm even though not sure which method fixed it lol.
The reason is simple, In march, they sent an update that caused problems in tablet mode. This is so easy. There is nothing more to do here that is just close to your phone and power off and back on. That is the fix. Do your update with the phone closed. I followed all these directions 5 times, and each time, I had to go to verizon. They fixed it and I came home. By accident today, I found the answer. I closed the phone because I was about to throw it and as soon as it closed the word phablet hit me between the eyes. I left the phone closed and powered off and back on as perfect as can be. Thank you for your video because yours was the only one on here that actually addresses something. Verizon said it is great you have insurance. I wanted to whack him because a $300 copay is not something to celebrate. However, for this one just close the phone.
Thank you so much!!! I was skeptical, to be honest, but tried "hard massage"/pressing on my EXTERNAL SCREEN which became permanently black after falling on the floor... I did it with my phone closed. I've heard a quiet CLICK in a point under screen just above the center of the screen and to the left, but the screen remained black. However, after a reboot with 2 buttons - a MIRACLE!!! - Samsung logo appeared on the external screen and now it works fine again! THANK YOU!!!!
UNTIL I saw your comment I was like NO FUCKING WAY THIS SHIT WORKS! omfg you're dead right, I did the massage method, I didn't hear anything but when I hard restarted my phone it started working again.... a weird screen came up and and I accidently started to download a 'custom OS' but quickly canceled it and it works like new!

I rarely comment but this totally helped me, my front screen remained black, but when I opened it up it worked completely fine. I was shitting myself since I'm here waiting to send it back for the s22 ultra. Just the forced restart helped me so I'm assuming my finger print scanner was somehow stuck. THANKS !

thank youuuuu!!! saved my life man running 2 companies and out of town, just got a new fold replacing my old 3 and it went black befor i connected my computer and was screwed in small town in midwest. Freezer did it for me took a few freeze but THANK YOUUUUU!!!!! No idea how much this saving me
Thank you, it worked, did a combo of the tapping and pressing down simultaneously on both sides, while open and it came on but still proceeded to force start just to complete the steps.

I watched this video laughing. He's just beating the phone in different ways. But I gave it a shot. Holy @#$%! It worked. I was having both screens struggling to turn on, then flickering and shutting off randomly. Then the outside screen wouldn't come on at all, but the inside would. After this, they are both like new. This man is a wizard!
(April 2024) I probably dropped the phone from the bed and when I woke up, my outside screen was not working while my inside screen was working. Every time you said "still black? No problem." I felt releived lol , I'll try all this now, it's only my big screen, ill update this if it works. Specifically I get a white blip each time , and I can still touch and move my icons just got no visuals, interesting fix concepts , id imagine they rush the assembly of these phones so fast its not a surprise that they would have a loose cable .
Thank you!!! I'm flying out today to start a 7 day cruise and was freaking out when my phone's outer screen suddenly stopped working last night. Inner screen worked fine. The power button spamming and reboot worked for me. I hope it lasts though. This is my 3rd Z fold in under 2 years...luckily replaced under warranty but did have to pay a $250 deductible on my first replacement. This phone is definitely not for the long haul.
im now a subscriber I went thought this like 6 times then did the slap method and bam my phone work thank you so much they were trying to charge me $270 deductable for a phone I paid $2400 for and only had just over a year
Thank you this is really helpful. My front screen went black after my kid dropped the phone. The 1st method didn’t work out. The front screen displayed white with lots of dots. But then I tried tapping on it and it went back on again after restarting it. As good as new.
