Driving from Oklahoma to Missouri, I passed through the town of Galena, KS. This town with a population of roughly 5,000 residents was awesome. Come along and let's travel together through the city of Galena.
Epic fail... at 2:00 minutes in you turned off Main Street too early. Had you just gone a block or so further, you would have seen the historic Galena Bordello which in the early 1900's had ties to the mob, and has a history of murders and prostitution. It was also featured on the show Ghost Lab, on the Discovery Channel, a few years back when the Klinge brothers investigated there. Oh, and right across from that is the old gas station with the cars that sits there that inspired Disney-Pixar's film "Cars". The only two things worth visiting in Galena, and you completely missed both because you turned off Main St so soon :(
