I love history I am trying to remember a quote Those who do not heed the footsteps of the past are doomed to follow the sane path or something like that
@@abeben1268you got the gist perfectly. George Santayana said "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it," in 1905. I had to look up the date, but that's been one of my fave quotes for a very long time. So, so true. And it seems humans are, as a species, incapable of remembering or learning from the past, sadly.
@@themug406 To be fair I can assure you as a french that people who can properly write and speak it are rare even when it's our primary language lol.
This guy has a lot to share, his intelligence is incomprehensible to many people, the very specific dates and sources he provides he cites on the spot. When your head has that many rapid paced thoughts, you get excited to share them. He doesn't love his own voice, he loves sharing knowledge.
@@iamchillydogg knowledge is transferable, intelligence is a skill that can developed or worsened over time, like with knowledge, however it can't be transfered from one individual to another, intelligence could be seen as the way in which someone is able to process knowledge
Can you imagine back then just how long it actually took to go from one place to another I mean you're talking probably months just get to that next state
@@johnqueen2754 did it? Bc humans pooped and urinated in the streets. They would literally bucket their sewage in the streets. Plus people almost never bathed.
Neil is Joe's favourite guest since he can enjoys laughing and nodding without any obligations for him to give any responses or to answer in between anything said by Neil. 😂

That adderall kicking his ass I had commented on the one where he is constantly interrupting joe and it got so many likes that he had to see it shit was all over the place because most of the fans realllllllly hated that episode because joe couldn't get one word out this dude is the only dude who could do a solo podcast and never not have a topic to talk about
I understand that some people say that he is interapting a lot and it's annoying but man, you gotta respect the fact that even though he misses some talking skills he is still smart and very passionate about what he's talking about, some people say that he is narcissistic and he thinks he has all the answers but thats not true. He personally said that he doesn't have all the answers and that that's what is nice about science, you don't need to pretend you have all the answers, it's ok to do not know things, and that it's all about learning. He likes to talk a lot cuz he love what he's doing and want to share it with others.
it actually proves that we are stationary, due to the fact that if we moved we could never see the same star twice at the same place. two different objects traveling at different speeds millions of light years away. they can never be at the same place twice. only a stationary and the other rotating around it.
Earbuds brother. The Samsung ones, been using em for a couple years now. I hope they keep working for another 2 before I have to buy more because if they do it is worthy investment when the cost per year ends up being so low
Also they have the actual list of the items he bought that day. Including the individual parts to make a better scope than the one he saw from Denmark. And he added some food. It was gonna be a long night.
If Neil deGrasse Tyson is talking I'm going to sit down and shut up because he is so far beyond my level of intelligence I'm just hoping his presents makes me smart enough to understand him 😂
You'll get there. I think you're probably there already. He's just repeating dates and events. You probably already understand the points he's making if he's holding your interest. If you'd like to listen to some people who are a step up from Neil I can recommend some channels. Isaac Arthur is a great youtuber to start with.

US Military Defense Contractors are always recruiting from and researching with the top universities in the US like MIT, Stanford, etc. Seemingly unrelated new research has the impact to advance the military extremely efficiently
