REBIRTH (2021) is the inaugural exhibition of Gallery Brulhart on the 6 November - 18 December. Gallery Brulhart is a space dedicated to Contemporary Art by African Women based in the heart of Geneva, Switzerland, Rue des Vollandes 21, 1207.
Boitumelo Diseko’s, born 1996 in Rustenburg, South Africa, evocative artworks deal with themes surrounding the female body and how these memories can be encoded onto the land space. Blurring the line between the figurative and the abstract Diseko, uses contour lines to form images that connect the human form to the terrain they inhabit.
Diseko also had numerous solo exhibitions namely:
Hosea 11:8 How can I abandon you? held at AVA Gallery (2019);
Ecclesiastes 3:20 (2018) held at Harrie’s Pancakes;
Between the lines (2018) hosted at Community Gallery in Durban;
Opening (2015) held at U-Space Gallery in Sunnyside;
Beneath the surface (2018) hosted by Longstreet Art Lovers, Pretoria.
