I'm in my 40's and still love fashion so I do check out how fashion is evolving, I should say this though, what gallery depth is doing now, was done way back in time when I was a 15 year old me and my friend used to rework jeans 👖 all the time depending on what was in style , if it was flared, skinny or cropped, been doing that eversince, so they are definitely not the originator of this particular style, if I could do it at 15 you guys can do it too
Facts I’m over 40 and own a gallery dept shirt love there clothes very inspiring to me cuz they are a black owned company and I am working on my own brand
If you want to make your own flared pants, Avery Ginsberg has a diy video giving a basic rundown on how to make your own using dickies. I have very little experience sewing but I applied that info to levis and I’m honestly happy with the results of mines 🤷🏽♂️
ayumelove I just showed him a pic of offset wearing the jeans and he knew what to do. I had already done all the cutting up so all he had to do was sew. I don’t know how to use a sewing machine so didn’t want to mess it up. You can watch this video as a reference as well ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dt56H7x8u4A.html
@@vxncnt find some denim scraps that match the colour of the material. You can find some on eBay or if you have jeans that you aren’t wearing anymore, you can also use that
Gallery dept & Josue pioneered this entire wave yall on the pants are meticulously crafted, tasteful intentions of distress and signs of wear that every alternative misses entirely
Thats the reason I personally paid $795 for my GD. Worth it with the craftsmanship, the color blocking, the ability to get it tailored to your exact measurements. I'd much rather pay $800 for good looking stuff rather than whatever that alternative price is. That just looks botched lmao. Like a bad tit job.
A buddy of mine does flared denim with carhartt pants someone from gallery dept commented on his ig saying he’s copying them and needs to stop lmao. I like the gallery dept ones they are better tailored the fit is just overall better and always seem to look better the tan ones mostly but 130$ compared to 950$ isn’t worth it I’ll stick with buying from friends on ig who make em
FR man!! I just sold my bootcut pair l like a year ago after holding onto them for like 5 years for no good reason lol would've probably been so sick for this type of look right now
Hey Kyron, I love your fashion sense How do vintage carhartt jackets fit, it’s just I’m looking to get one and where I live Instore vintage shopping is sadly not an option
Fuzzdandy is a UK based brand specializing in 70s inspired clothing but they still ship to the US, there’s also Wornstar, and eBay if you can find Levi’s or Wranglers.
I know the average age of the guys watching this type of content is like 13-26ish maybe even 30. I’m 32, listen to the man and DIY. Save yourself a stack and put in the work to make your own shit. You’re putting in the work to earn the money, so why not have both. Chances are, this style will pass by the time you get around to making yours anyway....
no lie it looks sick but i don't know why they had to waste 3 pairs of pants to make 1 pair of flairs. Like they could have taken any piece of denim and put them in place. well done but wasteful way to create.
hmmm maybe the person who sewed this at the time (the alternatives) weren’t very good. $800 is crazy but might as well when the stuff you make looks way worse
I came clean off my 3 personal pair off the first time making them, i did it because im not paying 800+ for the oldest trick in the book, flaring Jeans is wat all ppl knew at one time in the 70’s 🤷🏽♂️ s/o gd and ch but its price rape for something easy and old to do IG @_adapte
Avery Ginsberg made a great diy flared pants video about a year ago @ GearedTowardGear ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dt56H7x8u4A.html
