9 years later....Libya's in a total mess, and the crisis there led to the massive flow of arms into the arms of terror groups like Boko Haram, ISWAP, etc, in subsaharan Africa this fuelling the insurgencies and terrorism in countries like Mali, Chad, Northern Cameroun, Niger, and North-East region of Nigeria.
Love him or hate him, but George has always been on the right side of history (with his predictions). He predicted Iraq to be a disaster and will distabilise the whole region and will be the breeding ground for terrorists. He was right. He was also right for Afghanistan and predicted the Taliban will be banc to power....and here, for Libya, he was right.. The partition of the country.. As for the funny British man, I wonder whether he went back to his much better, démocratic Libya
Hahaha, Mr. Galloway gave that midget a good spanking. Midget: It is my country, too. Galloway: I thought Lybia was your country. Midget: I am a British citizen. Galloway: Well, we have cleared that up. (smirk) ............... Midget: It is still my country. (referring to Lybia). Galloway: Well, make up your mind! Hahahah, it was hilarious. The midget was owned. hahahah
@@mhd2680 surely only in the eyes of Gadaffi loyalists. Gadaffi deserved what he got even though I abhor the fact outsiders intervened to make that possible
The war ended with victory on 20 October 2011, not stalemate. Yes, after that the country continued to be an angry shambles but the war itself was won.
Gaddafi had a government that provided world class Free health care. Free education from kindergarten to PhD Libyan students were studying in universities all around the world and the Libyan government paid all expenses. There were no personal income tax. Libya had a soverign wealth fund that would have lasted for generations. Libya's mistake was trying to start a gold backed African currency that would have replaced the US dollar and Euro. Now that the west has freed Libyans from Gaddafi the Libyan people are crowding their way into rubber rafts and trying to flee the total collapse of their country.
I respect the views of the Libyan gentleman as he was speaking on behalf of the large number of Libyans suffering under Gaddhafi. I was born in Libya, lived there until the time I was 14. I respect Galloway a great deal but the views of Libyans about their own country should come first.
yes and thats the main arguement people were pushing to destroy iraq because Ahmes Chalebi was demanding the bombing and he was "iraqi" this medget who calls himself libian is just a western puppet to destroy his own contry and hope he is happy now
Now look at those destitute Libyans who supported the invasion. My heart fills with endless grief when I remember how they are suffering.Back then, libya was a country,a prosperous country,an iconic nation.Only I could change the country into what it was 11 years ago!
