I get to be around and drive some of the greatest custom builds on the planet, most of which are completely over the top in design, execution and cost. This is a different beast. The owner wanted to build a car that looked stock and original but had some obvious performance mods to make it a more enjoyable drive.
Galpin Auto Sports took this Chevelle and made it an incredible driving car. Looking at it you would swear it's stock but when you drive it you know it's better. By a long shot. Hotchkiss suspension. 4 wheel disc brakes. 396 swapped to a 454. 3 speed auto changed to a 4 speed auto with overdrive. Bench seat swapped for OEM buckets.
