Would love it if CW was still Chloe, Kelly, Maev, Haley and Orla.....and of course Maeread Nesbit....that was the best group. Chloe is so amazing and lovely!!!
For me it has to be the group from 2009, Chloe, Alex Sharpe, Lyn Hillary, Lisa Kelly and of course Maeread. That concert at the Powerhouse Court and Gardens is just breathtaking. Chloe is now an Alto and I get it she is older and he voice has matured but I just love the way it was a few years ago. I would have given anything to have been at that concert. Most in the crowd had flown from America to be a part of it.
I believe the original four to be the best female vocal group ever assembled! If you add Lynn and Alex l think you have the best vocalists ever to sing as Celtic Woman.
she still has that soft voice and people say that her voice has changed... well yes it has shes older thats obvious everyones singing voice matures when they age... she can still sing softly but also powerful when she wants to!! i love Chloe so much!!!!
I love how these two very beautiful, kind, and gracious Celtic Women have loved and supported each other over the years. Sisters are rarely so close. I wish I could have been there for each and every moment to hear both of these two.
If I was stranded on a deserted island (like Tom Hanks in "Castaway") with a satellite phone, a GPS and Chloe, I'd toss the phone and GPS into the ocean. (wink, wink)
@@sunshinejulia9721 Guess what Julia, I just found out Chloe will be performing with Celtic Woman on their 2020 tour. She won't be at every venue though. Susan McFadden will take her place on the ones she's not at. OH WOW!

Unless she is happy doing what she's doing I cannot see why this remarkable talent cannot climb the pop charts. With her voice,talent,looks ,personality she could be aS big a star as Adele. No doubt.
Dave Shapiro They are still sensational. However they took a hit when Mairead Nesbitt left. Tara McNeill is excellent in her own way,but Maired is untouchable.
Well she does live in Los Angeles now so who knows. Lisa Kelly lives in Atlanta now too. It sucks they are both going to lose that beautiful Irish accent in time. Much like Shenna Easton, about 90% of hers is gone now after living here so long.
nwk38 All is not lost. I saw Mairead in "Rocktopia" on April 1st in Cincinnati. At the post show autograph session she told my cousin that she would be returning to CW later this year. We must wait and see.

I don't understand how she looks so happy while singing this... I always cry at this song. What a tragically beautiful story this song tells. I don't have any prominent Irish heritage, but I am currently learning the Irish language. There's so much history behind it and it really is such a unique language, far more compelling to me personally than mainstream languages like Spanish, French or German. I'd really love to eventually see someone translate part or all of this song into Gaeilge and perform it (and Chloe - you should totally do videos in Gaeilge too! :D) and I think if this song were to ever be the basis for a movie, it'd easily win an Oscar. So much love and respect for Ireland.
