You miss the whole point of Tetris. I watch this video for how perfect and satisfying pilling blocks is. There's really something soothing and compelling about these blocks falling that brings to one's heart a deep feeling of inner peace. Like it's your destiny to pile blocks. As if doing so was the answer to all. Of course you could just come here to see a screen displaying a perfect score, but it's only a complement to the whole process of stacking tetrominoes on each other. It's not something you can put into words, it just feels like it's the right thing to do, like you were meant to stack these blocks, and that was the key to true happiness, to finally be an accomplished human being. The perfect score is the climactic moment of that very experience, but you can't have it unless you've been through the whole thing.

Hahaha, I had the same problem when I used to play. Once you get to level 20 you have to stop playing like a pro (trying to score only in tetrises) and start playing like a beginner on fast forward (score doubles and the rare triple). That's why it takes him less than ten minutes to get to level 20 @500,000 points with silly mistakes even, but a further 22 minutes to get to 999,999.
