Hot take incoming: As a consumer and life-long gamer (rise up), MXT suck “big ol' donkey balls”, to use a technical term. However, I don’t think predatory MXT business models are nefarious plots designed by evil, heartless game designers to trick and manipulate our most vulnerable children. It seems to be fueled by consumer analytics and the need to guarantee ROI on games developed rather than the need to exploit kids.

Drugs dealers aren't inherently evil but they're still selling crack to kids and ruining lives. When they film themselves bragging about how good they are at getting rich off addiction then yes.... they are assholes.

Agreed. I respect the logic and thoughtfulness. This type of discussion and analytical framework underpins many other businesses that are targeting discretionary income in the entertainment space.
