The movie version is slightly better for having the same engine but with supers, IMO... but this version does have better exclusive characters and a more coherent story mode. Love em both. Too bad my copy got stolen by a classmate in High School. I only have the movie version now.
@@starofjustice1 how the hell is the game gear a "crappy system"? It had to compete against the damn game boy and still managed to sell 11 million units.. it's a great system with a lot of good games.
@@gopats85 well the original Gameboy is my favorite console/game library of all time and I will still say the game gear is an awesome handheld. I mean it was number 2 behind the gb and 11 million units isn't even bad at all for a company's very first handheld. I don't know why people consider it a failure. Like I get the gb sold WAY more but 11 million should have been enough sales to make a successor to the Game Gear. Instead, they made the Nomad which did fail with only 1 million units sold....
I remember my Mum getting me this game and a Game Gear for Christmas the year it came out. Fun times. I do remember being stuck on the Polluticorn level for quite some time, mainly because I could never prepare myself for Goldar's sneak attacks and ended having lost half my health by the time I fought Polluticorn. I can tell you I burned through quite a few batteries back in the day.
I know your pain. I got stuck for a while and then with Cyclopsis just before the end. Had to get an electrical charger always connected to go through it.
My cousins from 7 states away would come down for a visit in the 90s when I was like 9. They had a game gear and this game, and this is literally the one highlight I remember of the system lol it was a pretty well done power rangers Sega game gear game
I LOVED this game as a kid. I remember having each ranger fight the monster they had to fight alone like in the show. The best Power Rangers game I've played on old-gen consoles.
When the *GAME GEAR* can do Go Go Power Rangers better than the *GENESIS* you know somebody messed up. (Granted, the Movie game is awesome on every system. ...Except the Game Boy.)
I suggest playing this video at 1.25x speed. As this guy is playing the PAL (24FPS) version where I had the NTSC (30FPS) version And the game speed is tied to the gramerate.
You can't,he doesn't have that sword anymore once you are able to fight with green ranger,on the Genesis version you can fight as evil green ranger tho
The Sega Game Gear version of this game is hands down better than all other console versions including the Genesis, Sega CD, and SNES. Where this game really shines is the unlockable dream mode you get to play in the 1 player vs after beating the story mode. You get to do all impossible matchups.....putty patrol vs the Megazord, Green Ranger vs Dragonzord, etc.....I still have this game. Now if only I could find my Game Gear.....
I’ve could’ve kept this game plus the game gear and the accessories to this device for many years to come because I used to play this video game back on Sega game gear when the TV series was still on the air back in the 90s because this game is very well done because I played it even at its highest level in past it with flying colors because this came to me look like a child seven up complete this.
Used to own this game. Best Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 1 game. Better than Nintendo's versions IMO. This coming from the kid who owned an Super NES.

Green ranger and dragonzord are from green with evil parts 1 2 3 4 and 5
I guess because of how much work it would've been. Because if he's in the game, then he has to become playable when you beat him, and they have to make Dragonzord playable too. That would've been awesome, though.
@@starofjustice1 Or it could've been when the Game was released? They released a Game that was based off the Movie. The best part of the Show was the Evil Ranger angle. Gone too soon, really.
