This is one of the coolest games and settings, I have the older version and that one your showing. With that d10 mechanic it was easy to blend in a lil cyberpunk, we also converted it to WoDs storytelling system to get "converts". I really like how it covers so much and blends it all together.
I've owned this and Witchcraft since the 90s, but never found any players. Currently culling my collection and they've both gone on the ebay chopping block, sadly. Interesting setting, though.

Ben Franklin works for me, because I think he’s supposed to represent science and/or humanity in contrast to the monotheism and polytheism powerhouses.
This game has a really fun setting where you can make an archangel that can square off against a fighter jet. I did run this game, but we had a specific mathematical problem with the system - the 1 die x multiplier for Strength. Unlike a dice pool, there was NO curve to the damage, and it was way more lethal than any of the characters could take. Whenever I asked about it, we were told you need to have a witch using Shielding Invocation all the time... which is not something that's ever really stated as a mechanical expectation or implied in the gonzo-ness of the setting.
From what I’m reading, armor is needed as well if you are just a plain old human. It’s meant to be somewhat realistic, a human isn’t going to be able to take a sword even from another human more than a couple times if they are lucky. Don’t even think about taking a blow unarmored from anything stronger than a human.
@@bryancrabtree4093 Yeah, I don't think regular humans are the expectation here. But we had serious mechanical problems with the high-powered monsters and stuff getting smashed to paste.
I wonder how Kurt would stack this up with The Contagion Chronicle from Chronicles of Darkness (NWoD 2.0). It’s a really cool setting and campaign, but needing all the fat splats and their knowledge for the zoo game is only for the truly committed with much time and wallet. I definitely understand the appeal of a single volume!
Hej, after 20 years i am getting back into Witchraft and Armageddon, and to get back into the mood i watching all kinds of videos. Unfortnatly, there isnt really that much info out there for that great RPG. Do you happen to know where you get the Information about Loki from?
It is... sort of. More of an option. You could play all of the settings straight or you could mix and match. Some of the Con-X splats go into a lot of details on the Atlanteans and what the greys actually are. The Unisystem had a number of great settings. Con-X had the most interesting mechanic for using the influence/resources of your backgrounds
You could cobble them together, but Con-X was created by George Vasilikos under a different company (NME) and ruleset. Witchcraft and Armageddon were by CJ Carella, and it wasn’t until later that the two games ended up under the same company (EDEN) and the same system. So they weren’t originally intended to go together at all.
😡 I hate the fact that Armageddon and Witchcraft is not in print anymore. I have found Witchcraft though in used format... that doesn't work for me. Wish they could print some new.
