Bateman and McAdams star as Max and Annie, whose weekly couples game night gets kicked up a notch when Max's charismatic brother, Brooks (Chandler), arranges a murder mystery party, complete with fake thugs and faux federal agents. So when Brooks gets kidnapped, it's all part of the game - right? But as the six uber-competitive gamers set out to solve the case and win, they begin to discover that neither this game - nor Brooks - are what they seem to be. Over the course of one chaotic night, the friends find themselves increasingly in over their heads as each twist leads to another unexpected turn. With no rules, no points, and no idea who all the players are, this could turn out to be the most fun they've ever had... or game over.

Alonso was right on about so many comedies consisting of funny people being put in front of the camera and just allowed to improvise films into the dirt, so to speak. Just because an actor is funny doesn't mean they can drive a feature length film without direction or a plot. I'm interested in seeing Game Night now.

Just got back. This movie totally lives up to the hype! Whenever "Meth Damon" is on screen it's movie magic. Smartest written and funniest comedy i've seen in 10 years.

I've always been a Jason Bateman fan but somewhere in the periphery. After watching Ozarks I realised how much I like him. He is such a professional and he picks really good roles. I don't think he gets enough credit.

I think Jason Bateman is a phenomenal actor. Even if the movie completely blows he's still great. And I loved him in Disconnect (amazing movie) one of the first "serious" roles I've ever seen him in and he nailed that too. Can't wait for this one!

Watch him in Netflix's Ozark! Besides Jason Bateman (who I usually like in almost everything) there is Laura Linney as his wife. She usually grates on me (it's an irrational hatred, cuz I think she's a good actress). But in Ozark the two are so unlikable and horrible that they are fantastic!

There goes my movie budget. I am re-seeing Black Panther plus going to see Game Night and Annihilation. I have to see Annihilation as I read the book and NEED to see if the images in my head made it onscreen.

YES!!! I absolutely loved this movie! I started this movie thinking it was gonna suck, but it was the complete opposite... blew me away. I just watched it for the 5th time a few minutes ago, and I still laughed my ass off. 😆

The fucked up the trailer and posters.. This movie was pretty good but the promotion made it look like a shitty C- comedy. It's not amazing but it's pretty damn worth seeing in the theater. 7,5/10

9:30 the score. The score in the only thing that really was taking me out of the movie constantly. It was like the score to the cheap parody of the parody of the parody of action and suspense movies, hated it :)

Saw it last night with a friend. It’s not perfect but I laughed a lot and had a great time. Crazy well paced and super entertaining. It’s my favorite movie of the three I’ve seen this year and I definitely recommend it.

Just seen it. Had some gross out humor in it but also a lot of dead pan stuff from Meth Damon that was good to watch. A pretty simple plot that gets a bit messy towards the end but it even had some decent action. Bateman and McAdams are really good together as a couple. Billy Magnussen seems to play an idiot really well lol.

Wow. A 9 is a bit too high for me. I'd give it a solid 7. It's funny and the cast is great but I wish it were darker. It's more silly than dark.

movieman82us I thought the mix was perfect. You don't want it to be too dark because that might turn people off. Also you don't want it to be too silly or it will turn into another identity thief.

Once again you guys are overhyping an above average movie and you underhype some of the great ones. You did the same thing with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. This movie was a blast but it’s a 7.5 at best. Maybe an 8 and that’s like grading it on a curve.

Filmatic Dave They are not overhyping it ratings are subjective this movie did what it was expected to do in the best way so they gave it a high rating that doesn't means it is necessarily better than other films which have got a lower rating than this.
