My only gripe with the movie is killing off Bruce's character. I would've done it differently, suppose they ran out of footage, his character could fake his death and let his brother be his own eyes and ears in the tower of death while he supposedly works in the shadows to dismantle the criminal syndicate. Once his brother returns, he commends him for his actions and for the safety of his own and others, "must remain dead for a while" and goes off the grid, again, but promises he will come back once things settle.
I remember seeing this in the rental store as a kid, early 90s. Back when you didn't have the internet to see any reviews or reaction videos (to help your decision). You had to decide (on the spot) whether you wanted to pay $.99 cents to rent it or not. Back when cover art was soooo important. Miss those days.
@@TylerDurden-bb8lw I think so. For the Bruce Lee cut footage alone. I pretty much combed through every scene to tell when it was Bruce or a double. There was one scene where they made it really look like Bruce. When he went to see that girl (at night club) and those goons came into the dressing room... and he kicked the light out and did a slow motion kick. Looked like the real Bruce. But... I'd say a decent movie overall.

I actually kind of like this movie. To me it’s much better then the previous one. Even though he wasn’t in it for the last half of the movie. I liked the idea that his brother took revenge on the people who killed Billy Lo. I know it was disrespectful when they showed the real funeral when he actually died but also he’s character died as well. The movie had a very interesting concept and the twist at the end of Billy Lo’s friend who faked his death was actually behind the whole operation shocked me.
it was great, not perfect, but great and has a huge nostalgia for me, i remember crying my eyes out to my dad because they killed Bruce, he hugged me and told me that someday we all go, and now he is gone and now this song always brings me to tears.
I have watched this movie over 20 times and in my head this guy will always be bruce lee and one the best movies even today, and so underrated , and the music is amazing i wish i found the music somewhere else too like some piano sheets at least or the original music whoever owns it i hope they share it or sell it
I bought this on DVD recently. It's a recent restored version. It gives you the option to play the film as the original chinese speaking version or dubbed english version. the original speaking version features a completely different soundtrack to this. I love this dubbed english version music so much more though. It also has so many scenes cut out. Mainly because the original version didn't include these scenes and they were only added in the english version for various reasons.
Hearing this track I could visualize at first people honoring Bruce, and then when the music was funked out, I could visualize Bruce receiving a standing ovation as he bows to the crowd
I was looking for this soundtrack for many years I feel the legend is still with us farewell bruce along with your beloved son you guy left so soon at the peak of your success till then one day we will meet again handsome master
Hay que reconocer que esta mejor rodada en cuanto a que cuidan más el intento de que no se notase la ausencia de Bruce y que era un doble en la primera media hora, en cambio en juego con la muerte del 78 se notaba de principio a fin, esto demuestra que Robert clouse era un chapuzas, ng see yuen mucho mejor sin Duda.

I'm glad I saw the dubbed version of this when I was younger. Because it included a fight scene in a greenhouse that Sammo Hung directed which was filmed for the 1st Game of Death film but it was for the original speaking version, as the audiences expected a certain standard/amount of fighting in their films. Also I prefer the music score on this version to the Tower of Death version.
Game of Death II did a better job at recycling Bruce Lee footage than the G.O.D from 1978. It would've been better if they just stuck with naming it "Tower of Death" being that it doesn't have much relation to it's so-called "prequel" - it could've been it's own thing.
