I love how when people start watching this they’re like “omg it’s so violent” but after the red wedding, it’s like “nah cut that fool’s head off! Set an example!” 😂😂😂😂😂

What’s crazy is in the books you have no idea who Reek is. All of a sudden you are introduced to this new Reek character and you’re like “who is this person”. It’s not until Sansa comes to the Bolton and see’s Reek when it’s revealed and you’re like “Holy shit ITS THEON!”. That’s one advantage to the books.

I agree with you about Davos. There aren't many characters on this show who wear their hearts on their sleeves, but he's one of them. No room for BS. And those are the ones you listen to, whether they're good guys or bad. Samwell, Bronn, Brienne, even The Hound. These are the ones you learn from.

Yep, Volantis is a creepy, unfair place, and heavy on the slavery., it's sort of the 'other side of the same coin' as the city of Braavos, as the Braavosi were descended from escapee slaves from Volantis, and the two cities are sort of long distance cultural rivals. Talisa spoke of her backstory what with her little brother being saved by the slave fisherman who had fish tattoos on his face denoting his status. The slavery was why Talisa left there and came to Westeros. I've always had mixed feelings about Talisa, she's an invention of the show; in the books, it is a girl named Jeyne Westerling who played a 'Florence Nightengale' role to Robb and that Robb marries. The Westerlings being Lannister bannermen and the guardians of a 'gate to the west' as it were, whom Robb fought and took their castle in order to get into Tywin Lannister's lands. So there was a 'Romeo and Juliet' thing going on there; which might have made his bannermen's feelings of anger and even feeling betrayed by Robb towards the sudden romance and marriage make more sense. Talisa replaces that element with a foreign identity, which, while it presents a person from Volantis front and center, it might of confused quite why that marriage was maybe the biggest factor in Robb's undoing. Catalyn Stark herself thought of Jeyne as a romantic trickster of a defeated family who played her cards right, so one could imagine how others would see the situation.

One thing I noticed while watching your reaction of the Brienne and Hound fight that I never noticed before in my 50 watches...Shortly before they reached the Bloody Gate, Arya was telling the Hound he wasn't looking well due to that bite on his neck. I think she said he was moving slowly or something. I believe she said you shouldve let me treat it...Anyhoo, saying that to say, it adds to your point of just because someone beat another doesn't mean they're actually a better fighter. Maybe if he was at 100% he would've beat Brienne.

The indicator of what Cersei is wanting from the High Sparrow and his Faith Militant is when she says to him “We have to take care of each other”. She’s looking for powerful allies.

This is the episode that made me realize that Ser Alliser, while hating Jon, was SMART and calculating and actually a great leader overall. He just doesn't have the kind of personality I like. He knew that Janus was a piece of shit and he knew how important it was for Jon's role as Lord Commander to get rid of him. The Lord Commander MUST BE STRONG ENOUGH to be obeyed. He's a dick, but he's definitely ride or die for The Watch, no matter what. He does what he thinks is good for The Watch as *an entity*. And when he doesn't get his way, he takes whatever comes from that. He just REALLY hates Jon. 😂

Please do this show too!! It is phenomenal!! When I started watching this cold, and didn’t realize Tat played all the characters at first! This didn’t show all the best parts either.

Take note that Sansa CHOSE to go winterfell to marry Ramsay when LF said he’d turn the cart around. & Jon beheaded Janos Slynt for disobeying him is a direct mirror to Daenerys beheadeding the former slave. Not Robb because that was apart of his army this is breaking the law of the NW. He even begged for mercy just as the former slave lord Karstark said “Kill me & be cursed!” That’s what did Robb in imo

As you said, Carstark was a well respected man whose family and banners turned their backs on Robb after he took their Lord’s head. Janos, on the other hand, is respected by no one, including Ser Allister who only associated with him because he knew Janos was weak and could be manipulated.

I STILL enjoy Slint being beheaded! Remember, he was the one that commanded the guards to kill all those babies, and possible Baratheon bastard kids, in King's Landing, and he killed the baby in the brothel himself. ✨️Interesting fact: Sansa (Sophie Turner) is highly allergic to horses in real life and had to be *heavily* medicated on Benadryl everytime she rode, THEN try to act through it!!
