I actually think that GRRM is planning something like this in the books. It was a fight between the God of death (ice), God of light (fire) and the old Gods or something like that.
At the end of episode 5 I said there was only one way they could pull off this shit show of an ending and it was if bran warged into Danny and made her kill everyone, making him the big bad no one on the show saw coming.

Whats better imo is that its not really Bran anymore, its The Three Eyed Raven who hijacked multiple minds, including Bloodraven, and most recently, Bran. Maybe he even had a hand in the white walkers rising, as part of his plan to get to the throne. Why he would want to throne is not obvious though (same if its only Bran)

When the Night King approaches the ThreeEyedRaven, who for some reason agrees to be bait (who knows), Bran in his last desperate attempt, tries to go back to when the NK was created, and wargs into the closest mind he can, the human who became the Night King. He wants to tell the Children, warn them about what a colossal mistake they are about to make, but his mouth is covered and he cannot speak, so they stab him, and he becomes the Night King. But for him to become the Night King, the ThreeEyedRaven has to hijack Bran's mind, act as bait, and then the NK has to threaten life in westeros for Bran to try to go back and prevent this, thus beginning the cycle "again". And it ends with Bran, as the NK, killing the ThreeEyedRaven, with his mind entangled with him and the NK. Its messy but I think it would be a cool mystery.

I would have freaked out and been jumping if it was written like that. Scenes that were cut too vaguely in the beginning but finely and surprisingly brought together in the end. Would be a little nihilistic that chaos/evil wins, but keeping the bittersweet tones of the original ending of them being kept alive. Well, Bran not being evil but knowing that a Targareyen shouldnt have any kids because he ruled them out as being too dangerous from referencing their history....but keeping jon alive because he did have a role in doing the right thing

Sounds confusing but. By changing the past in the future. That means everything that would have happened without that change would stop to exist. So the time line where the red wedding never happened is gone. We only lived through the other time-line

I think they cut that scene in the last moment because they realize that that would cause too much backlash, but the whole context is still in the episode. I think they should have kept that ending. It would actually repair a lot of damage in my opinion and would make a lot of sense and be creepy as hell. They missed the opportunity

@NC Dave I only binged this 1.5 years ago, and was SO Phucking mad about how they destroyed this show. Season 7 was already horrible, but I had hope that the final season would be better, after all it's their legacy and has huge impact on bluray and merc sells etc. but this was the worst written season ever, if compared to average quality of the entire show. Anybody with intelligence could see that these writers were complete out of their mind and had no internal realism, logic how they write their characters and no respect on established arcs.

Had no idea who a few of those people were even meant to be. And shouldn't Bronn be there as Lord of the Reach? Or is he simply Lord of Highgarden and someone else from the area is now Lord of the Reach? Would make more sense. Not that Bronn even being lord of Highgarden makes any sense.
PiousMoltar samwell Tarly is more than likely lord of the reach. Mostly everyone there was the representative or lord of their respective kingdom. Though davos, Arya, brienne, and bran being there was pointless seeing how none of them are in any real power.

The Bran twists was amazing. making the Night King a hero trying to stop the true evil that is Bran, but failed. Would also made sense that he took over Dany and burned the people down.

yea especially since the three eyed raven in the books has a real history with targaryens and is not just an old man in a tree, and we all know he took possession of Bran (Bran is actually dead now).Nothing about the Night King or the three eyed raven has been explained so I'm open to all possibilities lol. Well if you think about it this is almost what happened. Bran knew about the future, he knew about becoming the king and he knew what will Danny and Jon will do. Basically he told Jon who is he so the events unfold. He revealed twice that this is the truth and for some reason no one cared.

Yeah, with a little leg work on the writers part they could have pulled that off, or something close to it, but Bran's OP powers where just established and then NEVER used again in any meaningful ways.

Second plot twist. They wheel Bran into a medieval version of Cerebro at the under the Gods Wood tree. Jump cut to a shot of Xavier with white eyes in the future in Cerebro.
I wasn't expecting that Bran moment. That's actually PRETTY good. I felt like I was watching the real ending of the series, that would have been amazing omg! Like it more than the actual ending.

The three eyed Raven , Brynden Rivers has taken over Bran. That's why he says he is not Bran Stark and cannot be Lord of winterfell since Brynden is a Targaryen bastard of Aegon IV the unworthy and is from King's Landing.He wanted to be king and that's why he says "Why did u think I came all this way". So, a Targaryen won in the end and became king. He has played everyone like puppets. I choose to believe this theory as it makes more sense than the original. I know he is not Brynden in the show like in the books but let's assume he is in the show too since it makes sense.

Yup, just that small section re-edited with everyone having the glowing white eyes....Arya whilst stabbing the Night King, Sansa telling Tyrion, and Dany right before she burns the city with what you already have, and you become a legend within hours. Orchestrating Ned Stark's beheading, the Red Wedding and Tywin's assassination were obviously a joke. But the rest (cats paw dagger to kill the NK and revealing Jon's parents to undermine Dany) makes sense.
@@JohnDoeTheGoodGuy Even if it was a joke (in the video), if you look at it through the eyes of an all knowing, emotionally detached being whose primary goal is to attain the throne so that the Children of The Forest could retake Westoros, then even him orchestrating the deaths of his own family members makes sense. And would rightfully fit the narrative that was told before season 8.
@@kkkkoouciLolol But in "Unbreakable", Bruce Willis' character can get a sense of what sort of malicious deeds Samuel Jackson's character (who is in a wheelchair) has done just by making physical contact. This flashback sequence between Jon and Bran is surely meant to be a nod toward this.
It brings even more emotions than the original GOT finale. That Tyrion's twin was totally creepy and so was Bran's revelation. It is really sad that some youtuber who uses just few tricks and only edits scenes can come up with a way better result than bloody pro-writes...

Well it really would have been fitting ending....especially since it the books series its speculated that 3 Eyed Raven was in fact Brynden Rivers/Lord Bloodraven, bastard son of King Aegon IV Targaryen....he was sentenced to Castle Black/Nightwatch for some murder he committed and disappeared beyond the wall and was never heard of again.... Now think Lord name and Weirwood trees with their blood-red leaves..... Honestly I think this is the kind of twist that GoT desperately would have needed in the end the shock the viewers one last time and open up possibilities for sequel
