That Hodor scene is the craziest mindfuck, his seizure happening because all along Bran would stay too long in the past... The past present and future all linking up at the exact same moment. And his name suddenly making sense. I still remember that moment of realization so well. Brilliant writing
bro i’ll never forget the chills i had the instant it clicked for me that holdthedoor = hodor i remember watching it with my younger brother (who introduced me to the show and had already seen it) and i was like “wait… that’s not… *YOOO 😮 GET TF OUTTA HERE?!!!!! 🤯”* i envy the day i too can get someone that’s never seen the show to watch it and become fully invested.. just to witness their reactions to scenes like neds death, ramsay’s fakeout, holdoor, the red wedding, etc 😂
What I specifically love about these scenes is Bran showing emotions, being curious about his family and the past, and also clearly emotional invested. However in S8 he seems to have no emotions for anything and he does not see himself as a Stark anymore. He is never happy or sad about anything.
What's weird is even the old Three-Eyed raven wasn't devoid of emotions. He sounded more old and weary, which made sense considering he's basically lived alone in a tree for probably decades. When he's about to die, he looks like he's holding back tears. Taking away Bran's personality was (yet another) terrible decision from the later seasons.
I feel like instead of being devoid of emotions, he should have seemed wiser and more mature for his age. His brothers would have noticed and we would have too.
Don't worry im learning to fight, and no one will have a chance against me. Omar Jimacale. Remember that name. Ufc. Greatest fighter to ever live. Walk the earth.
And I think the reason he turned back the second time Brandon went there was because Brandon has change the past by doing that n now even if he don’t call out dad he will turn
what's in a name i think the whole thing is just ment to be. It kind of reminds me of the end of a book series cirque du freak. But listen don’t worry none of it’s real it’s all insidethe eyes of a blue-eyed giant
In the books, there’s a similar scene, but Ned is at the werewolf tree in winterfell, bran calls out to him. Ned gearing a voice asked who’s there, but nothing else Bran says is heard by Ned
It's so weird looking at Ned here and realizing his father and brother had already been murdered, he'd married Catelyn and already had Robb by this point. He looks so young and he's already been through so much.
@@IOU88 please explain how Robert had anything to do with the Mad King ordering their deaths? Lord Robert Baratheon had absolutely nothing to do with Ned's father and brother travelling to King's Landing to demand Lyanna's immediate release. Robert is a legend... speak not ill of him!
@@ajmage5319 Here comes the blame of Robert who is only a great warrior and a great liar. He is a whore fucker a drunk a oaf and a war mongering. Neds father and brother went to Kings Landing thinking Lyanna was kidnapped and raped by Rhaegar. That lie started the whole bloody war as Rhaegar and Lyanna loved eachother, Robert was a jealous cunt. Yes the Mad King deserved to die but the war was started over lies created by Robert the jealous drunk oaf.
ace - the show hasn’t always had bad writing which is why we watch vids like this in the first place.. And lets face it, were all still gonna watch til the end regardless..
I love how everyone did those endless theories about the Night King and what he wants. Like is he Bran, is he searching for his wife? Nah he just saw Bran flying aroung in birds and then thought: This needs to stop
I can’t help but cry every time I see the Hodor scene. Bran caused him to live a life without communication and mental handicap. It must’ve been a rough life for him and his mother.
I think he always knew. He saw the future and knew his role to play. He knew and that's what makes it so emotional. He knew he had to protect the boy he had not meet yet. It's so emotionally beautiful and after seeing OSHA die so easily it was beautiful to see the connection of these two and the circle ending.
Even Ned felt bad that that Dayne was stabbed in the back. A stab in the back is the biggest disgrace to a master swordsman. He did him a favor by cutting him down face to face at the end.
I have to say. One of the most heart wrenching scenes is seeing the former Starks. And the guy acting 'Ned', could he BE anymore perfect for the role?!!
Young Sean Bean would have been IDEAL for the role, the problem with doing flashbacks like this is that we know what Sean Bean looked like 15-17 years before the start of the series (LOTR and Goldeneye anyone) but YES, as far as finding another actor that could properly portray young ned as portrayed by Sean Bean, he is perfect.
What an absolute honour and privilege it must have been for Isaac to act in this amount of scenes with Max von Sydow. A chance very few gets these days.
I don’t get why the old three eye raven is able to show emotions and ability to function normally but bran seem like weird and awkward when he talks to others. Like he lost a few brain cells becoming the three eye raven
imagine a little boy even though he is just 20 yrs old, seeing all the fears, all the horrible thinks in the entire world, her sisters suffering, people dying, his father, his mother, his brother cut in pieces. Seeing every little shit in the real world! what would he become?? obviously numb and weird.
IMO Bran is in control right now. He knew exactly when Sam should tell Jon about his true parentage, to give Arya the dagger in the Godswood. He is playing chess from Winterfell.
I remember watching the episode when Bran finds out that Jon is really Aegon. It was amazing. So many possibilities with that story. Then I remember that it meant nothing in the long run and he was just sent back to the wall to guard the realms of men from the undead that were eradicated three episodes before.
I really liked brans visions and powers, really wish he was more useful and had a better ending to his arc with the night king, not enough screen time to show everything which sucks
Even though I saw the episode, you're a dick for spoiling. I'm pretty sure people who haven't made it through the last seasons weren't going to just predict this right off the bat.
I was thinking "damn i wish to see all the visions bran has had, but damn i have to search i all the episodes" but then in my recommendations is this video, thank you for making my life happy
Obviously the death Hodor is the saddest part, but the part where Ned finds his sister Lyanna dying on the bed hurts alot because now we understand why he never talks about her and its not because she married Rheager and gave birth to Jon it was because he was with her till she died. His sister was dying and he couldn't do anything except being with her until the end
If you noticed The old man kept stoping bran from seeing further visions but bran insisted. And saw who John snow really was (targrianstark) John was excited about the news and told everybody despite what danny beged him for. Danny got mad and cooked the bigest shawarma in all of the 7 kingdoms....Bran's curiosity everybody.
it means everything... it affects the future and the past, it is present and not present in the same time. Everything matters, nothing matters, what does it matter. Anything matters if we see the truth...
The future is not set in stone. It can be changed just by going a different path that was intended. Arya came to a cross road, she made a choice to back to Winterfell, rather then Kings Landing.
@@brightgarinson3099 I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Bran and Night king's story arc is not complete. Bran was upto something throughout the battle. There should be some mindfuck time travel stuff like hodor's thing yet to play out in the coming episodes. I really hope there's more to it.
8:26 If you look that scene, you can just see ned had a chane to backstabing sir arthur, but he just ignored it and just step foward and join the sword fight
Holy shit!!! Hodor foreshadowing "if he ever learned to fight he'd be unstoppable" hodor is most likely a Wight soldier now so he will be kicking a lot of ass in da norf season 8!!!!
@@RishiAntriksh they have been putting things like this in but not explaining them properly. There are still like 4 prophecies that have not been answered? F*ck this show. Season 1-7 best thing on TV. Season 8 is just a money grabbing Hollywood takeover. Daenerys deserved better. She could have just burned down the Red Keep and left it at that not the whole f*cking city!
@@karateprincess1 They killed missandei and thats the last time they got, She had 3 dragons, ships and all that yet missed the golden timing cause she listened to her hand and now she has no relatives and friends. BOth her Knight and translator are gone and they want her to forgive all that just based on a BELLL!!!! toll. No wonder she got Mad!
Likely cause there is a specific method of doing that and the Night king utilized it for Craster's son. With Arya he just wanted to stop her from trying anything against him.
His original visions aren't there. The super early one with the 3 eyed raven which is a montage of different things, for one the mad king and the wildfire etc, these are only the newer and more conscious ones.
Not to mention, what is the point of Bran now that the Night King was so easily defeated after all? Why is Jon so important in his visions when it's Arya who is the one who saves the day? Or is this what happens when HBO has decided to go all out with it's feminist revolution by making all the male characters completely useless while the women rock?
Bran has changed the past even when he wasn't born yet. Everything is written and nothing can change it again. Just like when he called out his father and Hodor's past. A warg was whispering to the Mad king to burn the white walkers and then he went crazy.
bran hasn't changed the past in anyway,he only influenced it and the only event bran really messed with was hodor's past, that's it. he didn't do anything afterwards.
all the visions the tree dude is showing him have been corrupted by another warg, thats why the night king whats to kill them all. eventually Bran will become so strong with his visions he wont just be able to influence events he will actually be able to skin change and completely control all timelines and fix the shit that's gone wrong.
Roland Deschain first of all, love the profile name, hope you’re looking forward to the series coming out...second yea this was horrible, there’s def a handful of vision not included here.
Back from Season 1 Bran was my favorite. I knew there is something about this boy. He is in fact The most powerful of all, hope they won’t destroy his character.
I understand that t.v shows are limited to the content they can add from the book but I really wish they could of elaborated a little more on just who the Three-eyed Raven was before he became the Raven.Brynden Rivers,a.k.a Bloodraven,is in my opinion the most interesting single character in all of G.R.R.Martins works. From Royal Bastard to legitimized son of the king.An excellent fighter worthy of being presented Dark Sister, only Blackfyre is a more famous Valerian steel sword. From knight to trusted Hand for three straight Kings.Greatest Master of Whispers in history to stopping Daemon Waters and Bittersteel on the Redgrass Field, ending the first Blackfyre Rebellion. No Blackfyre attempt after had a better chance.Gave a huge part of his life doing whatever necessary to protect the realm, even when he used questionable methods. One of those methods finally crossed the line and King Aegon V sentenced Bloodraven to the Wall.Five years after taking the Black,he was elected Lord Commander of the Nights Watch. After going out on a ranging Bloodraven went missing only to show up beneath a Weirwood as a greenseer, the Three Eyed Raven. From birth as an albino to helping stop the existential threat of the Others\Whitewalkers.Nobody comes close to the mark Bloodraven has made on Westeros.Apologize for the ramble.
What if Bran is the one who controlled the dragon and destroyed kings landing? I mean he saw a dragon flying over the city, but only a shadow from above and maybe he saw it from his perspective. He seems to have a tremendous role and we dont know yet the amount of power he has to controll beings nor his motivation. He already saw Kings Landing covered in ashes and maybe he knew that is was the only way to ensure the prophecy, cause Daenerys wasnt the one to ensure the prphecy. He said he does not want, he seemingly follows a will or a way he was destined. And most probably he was the one who sent the horse to Aria
There is definitely a notion of time/space warp in GoT. Everything influences everything, past, present, future. It's all connected like in Einstein's theory of relativity. I think the old three-eyed raven is future Bran. Future Bran got lost in his visions so long that roots grew threw him. He got lost in the sauce. Old Bran is teaching younger Bran the things he wish he knew so that he can change his destiny and do it right this time around, not getting lost in the visions. And I believe that Night King is the oldest version of Bran, coming back to kill all younger versions of Bran so that he remains the ultimate and only Bran who lives forever.
I think the-eyed-raven was Brynden Rivers the Lord Bloodraven, he was Lord Commander of the Night's Watch and died beyond the wall, that makes all sense to me according to his life.
The Starks did not deserve all the sheer crap they were put through. By the Targaryens, the Lannisters, the Freys and the Boltons, but now all four of them have been laid low and the Starks are on the rise once again.
That's what newborn babies look like. I remember staring in puzzlement when my sister was born, because she was so red and - erm - babylike? They look really cute and funny.😂😂😂
My S8E3 Rewrite As the battle continued in s8e3, I wanted Bran to see that everyone he cares about are about to all die and that despite all his knowledge, he could not stop what is about to happen ... so it's up to Bran to warg back into people of the past all the while keeping his name Bran. Bran tries to change the past eventually becoming pillars of the past like Bran the Builder who built The Wall & Bran the Broken who drove back The Night King. It's later revealed to the audience that Bran isn't rewriting history but that the history is set in stone. He has always been a part of history. Bran still not fully realizing this ... seeing the present unchanged by his efforts while trying to alter the past, he tries to go back farther and farther in time (ultimately failing to heed the warning of the Three Eyed Raven, "It is beautiful beneath the sea, but if you stay too long, you'll drown."). Eventually, he wargs into the man that Bran thinks could stop the Children of the Forest from making The Night King ... The Night King himself when he was still human ... only to be TRAPPED in his body, gagged, tied to the Weirwood tree & unable to convince the Children of the Forest that he is Bran from the future. Bran, helplessly stuck, is unknowingly transformed into The Night King by The Children of the Forest. This is when a revelation montage shows Bran realizing his true destiny & accepting his hate toward a broken world ... that despite his efforts to save them all, they persecute him ... a montage of all the things the Night King did & why are then revealed.
6:47 I hated how badly they butchered the dialogue from the books here by dumbing it down. The exchange between Ned and the Kingsguard is some of the most badass, well-written dialogue in the entire series. It really gives the impression that the Kingsguard of that era were a true brotherhood and each one manages to sound intimidating in their own right.
