Melisandre taking off the necklace and revealing her true form. It’s just showcasing how defeated and depressed she feels after she misinterpreted her visions in the flames about Stannis. You guys are religious right, according to your IG? Imagine one day finding out that everything you believed was a lie. That’s where Melisandre is at right now after her failure with Stannis. Completely shaken and defeated to her core. In the books Melisandre resists sleeping, believing that dreams are the whisperings of the Others (White Walkers). So for her to just willing go to sleep here is very telling of how she’s feeling.

Not gonna lie the Dorne arc is absolutely atrocious. It comes nowhere close to the books in tone, style and even plot, compared to what is written for that great House, and its pretty much all fiction from the showrunners at this point. Terrible writing direction. There is never enough exposition about Dorne or their people, so it leaves the viewer absolutely empty in terms of feelings/emotions so why should anyone care. Definitely one of the worst arcs in the entire game of thrones series.

@@TylerClear the hate train is so out of control that people compare it to the later got seasons and the fanbase became insufferable in every way, including hating on the actors which is wild. i have my own problems with hotd, namely some of the characterisations and the random dany scene but it's still easily better than post-s4 got. in fact in some ways i'd say it's better than the book, like aegon being a more interesting character and more present in the story, aemond being more layered as well, instead of being straight up devil incarnate. a big part of that is the actors of course, they did a great job.

Well, Bran’s story is the most out there of every character throughout the show, and his quest to become the three-eyed raven doesn’t make sense without a purpose in the end….so good prediction

@@alicia1465 Exactly! Also, Bran's POV is the very first POV chapter in the books. It's through Bran's eyes that we meet the Starks for the first time. His opinion is the first we're given about Ned, Jon, Robb, the girls....which I always felt seemed like a deliberate choice by GRRM... I'll never understand why D&D left him out of S5 (other than they found him boring and couldn't/didn't care to come up with something interesting for him).

There's a thing in this episode which I think is a fun detail to show the drop in writing, Theon and Sansa escape Winterfell, get chased by enemies, then someone comes kills the enemies and saves them, we as viewers understand that Brienne and Podrick are good people so of course its easy to overlook that Theon the person who this has literally happened to him before when Ramsay "saved" him should be absolutely terrified by this situation and at the least would not be letting this stranger get even remotely close to Sansa

I think the implication is that Melissandre has lost her faith. She feels that she has misinterpreted every vision she was shown. She just hit rock bottom.

Not going to lie it’s kinda crazy to see yall so unaffected by Jon dying. When this aired back in the day everyone was in shambles. I was 100% sure he was dead. Even Kit Harrington said he wasn’t coming back which of course turned out to be a flat out lie. Season 6 is the pinnacle season of Game of Thrones without a doubt the best imo.

Cinema Gek just to assist Jackson, Melisandre has always had that necklace on ...the first time we see her is on Dragonstone S2 Ep1 when the Maester poisons the wine and when she drinks it their is a shot of her necklace glowing. The only time I can remember there is a faux pas is the Episode that Melisandre is taking a bath while speaking to Queen Selyse Baratheron S 4 Ep 7 her necklace is off and she remains young. The actress admits years later that was an "oops" moment... I didn't catch who said it, however Jamie and Cersei are twins...S1 Ep 7 " When Ned confronts Cersei about her children and what Jon Arryn "died for" Jamie and I are more than brother and sister, we shared a womb, we came into this world together we belong together " Well part of that statement is true...😂 Awesome reaction😎😎😎😎😎

I think season 6 is very good at concealing a lot of it flaws so as long as you dont think too deeply it ends up being very entertaining, all in all i think its quite entertaining as long as you dont start analyzing it

It's worth differentiating too - It's a little bit that it "deviates" from the books in some ways, but it's mainly that "there are no more books" for the show to adapt. So they're freewriting going forward, with only some vague milestones that GRRM intended on making his way around to.

They for sure got spoiled. So many times Carter has said “I saw in a video” and then proceeds to state some fact about a character or lore. If you consume GOT RU-vid content there is a 1000% chance of the ending being spoiled. I’m not saying this because of their predictions (so don’t get too excited boys) I’m saying this just in general based on a previous reaction I watched earlier today when Carter was talking about something he read. And then the very next reaction Carter was talking about something from a video he saw. And considering this show ended over 5 years ago and most of the world has seen it or heard about it I think the likelihood of them not knowing how it ends is very very low especially when they seek out posts, articles, tiktoks, and RU-vid videos.

Honestly, season 6 is incredible, especially after 5. I would say Season 1,2,3,4,6 are Proper GoT, 5,7,8 have good parts but are just not as good.

** SPOILERS BELOW** The "Bran will be the only Stark left, he was super important in episode 1 and got everything kicked off, and I think he'll be the only Stark left at the end and the Starks will end up on the throne" is actually an absurdly good prediction, the media literacy is off the charts with this guy. I just saw the S6E5 reaction where he predicted R+L=J, so he's on a roll for me lmao.

I don't think it was "all Jaime and Cersei's fault" (the fall of House Lannister) ... I think it was Tywin's fault. He was so obsessed with his family name and position, and so wrapped up in his own sense of righteousness, that he failed to raise his children to be strong and intelligent enough to do what he wanted them to do! Instead, he thought he could force them to do his bidding and everything would work out as he intended ... typical narcissistic behaviour!

That was her true form. Melisandre was a slave. She is still a slave, but now to magic. All slaves in GOT wear collars. She did say in season 2 “I’ve been fighting far longer than you”. She is my second favorite character only surpassed by Mirri Maz Duur. Both are flawed heroes who have a grasp of the higher mysteries of their world.

Glad the GOT reactions are coming quicker- I def look forward to them! Episode 9 and 10 of this season 6 are massive and highly rated by critics and fans - If I remember correctly those 2 episodes got them a bunch of awards for this season in particular… and love the ability of the 2 of u that have seen the show to not react to any speculation or predictions by the others ( I’d prob be like “um no not really” or “ur on the right track with that but not exactly” or “yea basically” )- looking forward to more - the show can be frustrating at times but don’t get discouraged watching it

The first two were okay too I guess, but I remember being so bored during episodes 5-8 at least with 8 being just outrageously stupid (Arya plot). 25:51, remember melissandre shows up the first time in chapter 1 season 2, buring people along with stanis in dragonstone and dragonstone's maestre tries to poison her sharing a cup of wine with poison... the end of that scene shows that she's wearing the necklace and it's glowing red, so, she wears it, although, I think she doesn't wear it in a chapter where she's taking a bath in season 4.
