In my almost six decades of life, NEVER once have I jumped off my couch, pumped my fist, and shouted "YES!" at my TV screen before. Watching that little sh!t bite the dust was one of the most satisfying things I have ever experienced.
It's so fun watching the trash talking of Joffrey knowing what's coming.🤣 It's one of the most satisfying offings in TV history. He was such a sadistic little creep - he got exactly what he deserved! And what's funny is that Jack Gleeson who plays Joffrey is such a cool guy. He played that character SO WELL!👍👏👏👏
I felt so bad for that actor, cuz like the kid who played Draco in HP they had to deal with some nasty bullying from fans who weren’t mature enough to separate the role from the actor. But that’s also a testament to how great of a job they did playing bad guys.
@@mrs.h2725 I agree with you about how bad it was for Jack Gleeson, the actor who played Joffery. In fact, he literally quit showbiz because of all the hate he received.
I always say it's a good actor who can invoke hatred the way some actors can do and Jackie Gleason is the freaking shit when it comes to making you hate his character
The Mountain is the Hound's brother. The Hound is with Arya. The Mountain was the man in the first season who split the horse in two. He burned the Hound's face when they were children. Those men in the brothel were Lannister soldiers, Oberyn knew that because they were singing the Lannister song. It's the same song that was playing before the Red Wedding blood bath. That's why Catelyn was freaking out before anyone else. Why would their allies be playing their enemies song.
I enjoy their reactions, but they really should have taken notes or maybe pictures of the characters and put names underneath each one. It's still amusing, but it's much better when reactors pay attention and remember the story being told
@@kylethompson3008 It really doesn't bother me that they get the characters mixed up. It seems more authentic. It's apart of the experience getting to guide someone through the plots like you do when friends and family watch.
@@dustinpulliam583I agree, reminds me of the first time I watched it. It was hard to keep track of all of the characters, until the second time watching it.
Well.. we finally get a full time mountain after this. I don't blame anyone for not recognizing him , because they've had a different guy playing him all 3 seasons till now lol
@dustinpulliam583 Yeah, these guys are top in the top 3 for me, but it bugs me that they think at this time the hound is a rap*st and baby killer. I know they've seen the whole show by now, but still.
Why do people keep saying this???? It’s not true at all. It’s not even true in the books. It’s was heavily foreshadowed that Robb would be killed, we saw it coming. Also the show cut out Ned’s fever dream where he comes to peace with the fact that he is going to be killed. Also all of the POV characters (the main characters) are still very much alive. Except for Ned and one other. But I don’t want to spoil anything so I won’t go any further.
I don't know how you two kept a straight face through the exchange between the Hound and Arya outside the tavern talking about Polliver and Lommy... One of the funniest dialogues.
Everyone had the wine. But someone slipped poison into the wine after everyone had some. This is the purple wedding. Jeffrey’s death made a lot of people watching happy.
End of S4E1 is a contender for my favorite scene in the whole series. The Hound's attitude changed so quick from "let's not mess with this" to "Imma go ahead and brutally kill all these chumps". He's also arguably my favorite character in the series.
True but also not fully accurate, she was very emotional and he was moving quickly (except for the first arrow). So yes she didn't want to kill him but after the first shot, all bets were off for where they would hit.
@cherrybomber69 I agree, because even Tormund later on points out to her that the reason Jon is still breathing is due to her letting him go. The girl is a medieval sniper, so if she wanted Jon dead, he would have been.
Cersei wouldn't kill her own son, she was the only person that actually loved him and the way she was looking at Tyrion, she's convinced he did it. Tywin also wouldn't kill his grandson since he is still his heir and the King even though he didn't like him. Joffrey did have a lot of enemies that are capable of doing the deed.
I honestly think season 4 is the best out of all of them, hope you guys enjoy it. There's still a lot of sad stuff but you've gotten through the worst. Arya knows, she saw her headless brother with the wolf's head attached to his body. That's why she killed the guy at the campfire because he was bragging that he did that.
One of My Favorite scenes of the series and of Westeros Best and Most Dangerous Duo: The Hound Kicking Ass and The Wolf getting Her Needle back... and a Horse.
Season 4 ep1 one of my favorites because it has my favorite Hound and Arya scene. The Hound is a fav of mine, he's a shades of grey character but he is a good guy when you get past that rough exterior. He hates bullies and does what he can to help out the victims. When Poliver threaten Ayra in that scene, it was a done deal. The Hound and Arya are the perfect "father and daughter" duo
This is probably the best season of GoT if you ask me. The good guys have taken so many Ls up to this point but we finally get to see some Ws in this season. I can't wait to see the next reaction to ep 3&4 😊
The white trees with red leaves and faces carved into them are Weirwood trees. They're all over Westeros, but especially in the north. They're integral to the religion of the old gods. When they finished their training, and officially became Men in Black, Jon and Sam said their vows to join the Night's Watch in front of a Weirwood tree north of the Wall, where Ghost brought him a severed arm. There's a Weirwood tree in the godswood at Winterfell. That's where Ned was sitting, under the Weirwood tree by the water, sharpening his blade at the beginning of the series, and where Bran looked at Summer's reflection in the water when he was having his warg dreams, and where Hodor went skinny dipping, and where Maester Luwin died. There's some idea that all the Weirwood trees are connected to each other somehow.
there were Weirwood trees all over Westeros, but the rise of the Seven resulted in all the Weirwood trees getting cut down everywhere except the North. So they were unable to look after Ned when he went South.
One of the few times where the character in the show is actually more fleshed out.. and BETTER.. than in the books. No spoilers.. but let's just call it his "talk with Tyrion".. you know which one.. was actually his very first scene he ever shot. He was late getting to England to film.. really knew nothing of the character and the show so far.. shows up and his first shoot is one of the most BELOVED lines in the entire series lolol
Everyone in Kings Landing really giving Jamie the “I prefer soldiers who weren’t captured”. 😂 I noticed how much different your reaction to Jeoffrey’s death was to Robb’s. You were both practically smiling on this one. Me too. 💚
The funny thing was Joffrey didn't realize that he wasn't embarrassing Tyrion but only showing how much of an immature child Joffrey himself is. He was humiliating himself
07:05 Pedro Pascal, yes was in 'The Last of Us', and also stars in 'The Mandalorian' for Disney Star Wars. The Dornish are basically the arabic faction in this world.
Arya actually saw the Wolfs head mounted on Rob’s body. That’s what she saw when she woke up after the hound knocked her out. That’s why the Lannister’s where chanted “The king of the North” and when she stabbed that man moments later she did bc they were talkin about it and laughing.
In the book Catelyn's body was found by the brotherhood and brought back to life. Her body and face were very damaged and she became Lady Stoneheart. Also when the Hound fought in the bar he was badly injured and died, or so it was made to look. But he does come back as a gravedigger. Alot of changes were made in the series.
She was floating down the river and Arya warged into Nymeria during a dream retrieved the body and even kept the other wolves away (prior to being found by the brotherhood) If the books ever get finished I think Arya will be the one to give Stoneheart “mercy”
@@jay-1800 I gotta finish what's left of the books. They are just so long I needed a break. I started the Dexter series and imo the show was better. He seems like a bumbling nerd, and the storylines are over the top where it is way too unbelievable that they would happen to the same guy 😂
@@tinocontreras5105 there’s actually a guy on YT that does like audiobooks for them. It’s been years since I’ve actually read them and just recently listened to them on his channel. I’m pretty sure he’s done Dunk and Egg and Fire and Blood as well. I can give you the channel name if it’s something you’d be interested in.
I can't understand people who stopped watching GOT after the Red Wedding. It's part of the story. I don't want to watch the same old story where the righteous and honourable characters defeat their evil enemies. I've seen that story a million times before. I like the tragedy of it. It's like when Mufasa dies rescuing Simba from the stampede or when Jack freezes to death so Rose can survive. The best stories have elements of tragedy and loss. In my opinion the Red Wedding is the greatest sequence of any show. The sudden explosion of violence takes you off guard and Robb takes a crossbow bolt before you can process what's happening. The show gives you a bit of hope when Robb gets on his feet and Catelyn takes a hostage to negotiate for Robb but then snatches it away by having Roose stick a dagger in his heart. Catelyns pained scream at the end rounds the scene off perfectly.
The story arc of the Hound & Arya is one of my favorite of all time. They made such a perfect pair together & I loved the chickens scene & how he protected her
Those trees with the faces used to number in the thousands/tens of thousands all over the place. Up North of the wall there are still probably hundreds of them. They were just religious sites where the 'natives' (to not spoil anything) carved them to worship the Old Gods, who live in the trees.
You're both being very nice to Joffrey! His death was one of the most celebrated moments when it aired -- there was compilations of YT reactors cheering with joy in their living rooms (in the early days of reaction vids)!
The Purple Wedding! I can’t wait to see you guys when the truth is revealed about Joffery’s murder. Yes! That is Pedro Pascal from The Last of Us! Awesome character in Game of Thrones.
That was poison. You said Sansa and you are partially correct. It's actually right in front of ya face when you see the episode again. Keep the necklace grandma Terrel threw away and the fool who gave Sansa the "family" necklace.
I'm drunk as and wanted to say that your reactions to this unreal series are amazing! Feels like we're there with you and you're such amazing people nothing but love from the UK!
Oh y'all are way better than me cause as soon as he coughed the first time, I was on my feet, yelling YES OH YES HELL YES COME ON! COME ON! Like my neighbors heard me 😆😆
I just noticed, whenever Bj and Asia hear that song Lannisters and/or their men are nearby. When you watch the opening sequence each episode is slightly different, it shows us which city/location that episode is going take place. Just remember Arya is a true northerner and the north remembers🔥🙌🏽 Oh how I wish I could completely wipe the knowledge of viewing this series, just so I could relive the same reactions as you two 😍🤤🤪😍!!
When this episode originally aired, and after what happened to the Starks during the _"Red Wedding"_ many fans (if not all), were so overjoyed to watch (a Lannister in every way, except for his surname) Joffrey slowly die and *finally* get his.
Yes, George R R Martin wrote the series so anyone can die at any time. Each character makes it so far in the Game of Thrones. Only a small percent make it to the end.
That scene in the tavern with Aria and the Hound is so good "I'm going to have to eat every f*ckin chicken in this room" is the best threat in history.
Has there ever been a more satisfying death than Joffrey? I could watch that little weasel die on a loop and never get tired of it. 😂 The Hound and Arya are my favorite duo. He's like the best and worst babysitter at the same time.
This is a a TV show that was a page turner… like a book.. every chapter leads to wanting more. I reached a point where I didn’t watch every week.. I waited for the season to end and then binge watched the full season. I hated waiting the year in between…
The kings mother would move heaven and earth for him. The child she almost poisoned in season two was her second son Tommen. She would have poisoned him to avoid his being tortured to death if the city fell... no other way would she harm a hair on any of her children's head. When pretty much everyone else in the world wants the king dead I am shocked that you would suspect his mother. The wedding was never consummated, so the 2 hour wife is not the queen.
Even if they had consummated the marriage, if she didn't get pregnant she might remain queen in title (as Cersei still is) but she would not be a reigning queen. She could have been married to Joffrey for 20 years, but without a child, Joffrey's heir is his brother Tommen. And yes, no way would Cersei kill any of her children, unless as you say, to prevent torture and being burned alive.
If you watch it really closely you could theoretically figure out who did it and how. But its very difficult ;-). And if you dont know what to look for its almost impossible.
Cerc had a painless poison for her and her kids before so none of them would be captured or tortured. I don't think she would purposely kill her own kids, I'm watching with yall
Reel talk! Drogon don't mess with side eye too much. He goes direct eye. Nice puppy.😂😂😂 Lady Olenna is the OG of them all. She speaks straight and wise. You just know the Hound stank under all that armor. I'm actually glad I didn't watch when it was aired on TV. Having to wait for the next episode would have been hard! Bye Joffrey! Give the kid who played him props. He brought out some emotions in ppl. ❤❤
Why would Cersei want her own son dead? For all her faults she loved all her children and she thought Joffrey was the best of them. He was a mouthy kid to his grandpa, but Tywin's biggest concern is the family name and if others think they can just go around killing Lannister's that's the last thing he wants.
Fun fact: In the scene where Joffrey threw those coins at the singers, Jack Gleeson(Joffrey’s actor)accidentally hit an actor in the face with one of those gold coins the first time the scene was filmed. He apologized for it and felt really bad later. He’s a kind man in real life and the complete opposite of his character. He did a good job and played the hell out of Joffrey. I’ll miss him onscreen. I feel bad for all the hate he gets. Hate the character not the actor you know.
