Yeah, it seems they were confused about a few things. Rhaegar was the Mad King's son and Dany's oldest brother and heir to the throne at the time of Robert Baratheon's rebellion. And the old dude from the Night's Watch (Maester Aemon) is the older brother to the Mad King's father (so, he is the Mad King's uncle) he was supposed to be the king but refused the throne to go to the Night Watch. Hope that helps if they do see this.

Kellen Sampson yeah some other channels GoT reactions will cut out a few good parts here and there but it’s usually not as bad as some of these guys videos. Before clicking the video I see the episode and remember in my head every good part of the episode and think “can’t wait to see their reaction to that” but lately every time I’ve been waiting for a specific part they have cut it and left me disappointed.

Rhaegar is daenerys older brother not uncle. Daenery's dad is the Mad King. Aemon Targaryean(Night's Watch) is the Mad King's Uncle.

Great uncle. The episode he mentioned it, he left out a generation -- Maester Aemon was the brother to King Aegon V, whose son was King Jaeherys. Jaeherys was the father of Aerys II the Mad King, and Aerys's children were Rhaegar, Viserys, and Daenerys.

@@LeChaunce Incorrect! They changed it for the show. In the show he's the Mad King's Uncle and you even hear him say it when he's describing the slaughter of the Targaryans to Jon. Aemon : "What could I do when the ravens brought the news from the south? The ruin of my house; the death of my family. I was helpless, blind, frail. But,......when I heard they had killed my brother's son and his poor son,...... and the children. Even the little children!" Jon : "Who are you?" Aemon : "My father was Micah, the first of his name. My brother Aegon reigned after him, when I had refused the throne, and he was followed by his son, Aerys, whome they called 'the Mad King'" Jon : "You're Aemon Targaryan" Aemon : "I'm a Maester of the Citadel. Bound in service to Castle Black and the Night's Watch" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pozI5n6A_Io.html One of the best scenes in the entire show and the best delivery, IMHO. The skipped a generation (specifically Jaeherys) for the show that was in the books, and the show writers have even talked about it in interviews and why they did it.

@@Cbricklyne As I said -- Aemon left Jaeherys out of his list. But Sam later mentions King Jaeherys to Gilly when he's telling her things he "read in a book" and she calls him some kind of wizard. So they didn't leave him out on the show, Aemon just forgot a generation. (My guess is that they left him out initially and then retconned Jaeherys back in.)

@@LeChaunce Dude, Just watch the RU-vid link in my post and hear the words from Aemon Targaryan himself. I'm not arguing something with that's LITERALLY in the show and stated by the character himself. The point has come up with fans who've read the book and who raised it with GRR Martin himself and he himself said they changed it for the show. (Here's the link again : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pozI5n6A_Io.html) Aemon didn't forget anything. He LITERALLY said that the Mad King was his nephew and his brother's son. TWICE! Twice in that exchange with Jon. He refers to him as "My brother's son" and then again as "Aegon's (my brother's) son" taking the throne after him. If they retconned him back after that, then THAT was bad writing on their part.

Maester Aemon is the great Uncle of Daenerys, and Aerys the second, AKA “The Mad King” is Maester Aemons nephew. Rhaegar was the Mad Kings oldest son and was the prince, next in line for the throne. Rhaegar is the older brother of Daenerys and Viserys, the three of them are all the Mad Kings children.

Rhaegar was the crown prince and the heir to the Iron Throne as he was the eldest true-born son to Aerys II of House Targaryen (The Mad King). He was married to Princess Elia of House Martell of the kingdom of Dorne, the sister of Prince Oberyn. Oberyn recalls how he heard that Gregor Clegane aka The Mountain raped and murdered his sister after being ordered to sack the city of King's Landing by Tywin "Big Daddy" Lannister. Prince Oberyn aka The Viper will definitely be looking for any chance at justice that he can even though his brother, Prince Doran, seems to be content in Dorne.

The Hound and Arya together are the best. I love the parallels between Arya and Sansa. Especially when you try to think of how they'd handle being in each other's places. I always wish that Sansa would have went with the Hound, but how long would she have really survived? Not to season 4 that's for sure.

The Adventures of Arya and the Hound is my favorite subplot of season 4. Daario got recast because the first actor was pursuing other endeavors. You'll also find that a few background characters will be recast because they will play a more important role so they'll need someone who can act. For example, Tommen (Cersei's youngest child and second son) will be aged up slightly and recast by a background actor from an earlier season because they liked him so much. (By now they've seen the next couple of episodes so this isn't really a spoiler).

Rhaegar is the Mad Kings son and heir and therefore Dany's eldest brother. Dany had two brothers, Rhaegar (who died before the series started) and Viserys (who was killed by Drogo in Season 1)

Idk if anyone else has pointed this out, but tywin has always wanted Jaime to take over as heir to casterly rock, but the mad king named him to the kingsguard to spite him, when their friendship had grown sour, throwing his plans for Jaime out the window.

Yes!! You guys got to meet the Res Viper Prince Oberyn!! He’s so awesome! Also the Lannister soldier that he stabbed in the hand was singing The Raines of Castemere that’s what set Oberyn off in the first place. Also Ned’s valerian steel sword has been in the Stark family for thousands of years, which makes the melting of it more painful. Luv ur reactions!!

Sansa has to play until and if she escapes. Guy in camouflage understands, You all should listen to Sansa's talk to Tyrion again, that speech has info and will make a repeat at sometime in the future. Also gents, pay attention to Sansa's wardrobe and jewelry, it's how 1/2 her story and feelings are being told.

Also that's not the only information you should have on Rhaegar at this point. Robert Baratheon said in season 1 Rhaegar kidnapped Ned's sister Lyanna Stark. Thats why Robert began his rebilion. He was in love with Neds sister. Always and forever. He defeated Rhaegar Targaryn in single combat too.

Fun fact : Pedro Pascale ( Oberyn ) is a close friend of Lena Headey ( Cersei ) and they used to be an item for quite a while their pics and videos together are really sweet , you should check them out once your are done with the series along with all the other GOT related fan videos both funny and tributes and also history etc ,there is a big list you will super enjoy. Dany's mom, dad and her eldest brother Rhaegar died before she was born, Viserys was the middle child and Dany is the baby. the mad king had 3 kids. Aemon (the elder at the Nights Watch with Jon) is the mad kings uncle.Aemon and Dany are the only 2 Targaryens alive

Rhegar was The Crown Prince - son of the Mad King. Danny is his little sister. He married Elia Martel because when he was old enough to marry, he didn't have a sister. Targarians married their Siblings. At the time he got married, he only had Visyris. Danny wasn't born until after Rhegar and their father were dead.

"Why did they invite him if they've got beef?" Congrats, you've just met the final house of Westeros. Starks, north, Celtic vibe. Arryn and Tully, northish. Welsh-English vibe. Lannisters and Baratheons, midregion. French-Italian vibe. Tyrells, southish, Provencal vibe. And now the Martells, south, Spanish vibe. The seven kingdoms of Westeros, bent to kneel by the Iron Throne. The King HAD to invite them to the wedding, even if they were technically the Dragon's allies during the Rebellion 20 years ago and the Lannister's dog murdered their princess. Fun fact, the Dragons never actually conquered the Martells by war. They married the Kingdom of Dorne into their empire, even back then. You'll see that "make love, not war" is kinda their unofficial family motto.

(Upto this point of the show) War started because Rhaegar kidnapped Lyanna Stark, and when Ned's father and brother went to reason with the Mad King, the Mad King burned them alive. Robert Baratheon, who loved Lyanna started the rebellion along with her brother Ned Stark. At the end of the war, the Lannisters ordered to kill all of Rhaegars children and his wife Elia Martell (Oberyn's sister) and The Mountain carried out the orders.

The Mad King, Aerys had three children. Rhaegar the crown prince who was much older and it was he who married Oberyn's sister. Viserys and then Dany was born right around the end of the war. So Dany and Jon are around the same age. The Martells of Dorne stayed loyal to the crown during Roberts Robellion and when Tywin and the Lannister army finally joined the war, they joined the Rebels and tricked the Targeryans into opening the gates of Kings Landing and sacked the city. Tywin then supposedly ordered the Mountain to kill Elia Martell and her and Rhaegars children. Dany and Viserys escaped though. That's why Oberyn blames the Lannisters for his sisters death.
