he wouldve laughed with tears and having a good time then suddenly realize he doesnt like it that much and forbid them to do the scene again maybe even punish them a little
Agreed. Her eyes narrowed when "Joffrey" was comforting "Sansa" after "Ned's" death, probably hating the real Sansa for being stupid about the real Joffrey. She likely had no way of knowing that Joffrey had set Sansa aside, news took a long time to travel by word of mouth and on horseback or foot, and the idea that Sansa married the Imp meant that a lot had changed since Arya fled King's Landing.
''Oh father, in bed you must lie! I love you father, please don't die!'' ''Shut up you swine! Cersei more wine!'' This back and forth was among the most golden parts of S6
@@alecjones4676 true, but still, there were thousands of people at that square and each of them would've told it as it was, spreading word of what happened letting everyone know how it went down
@@michaelkelly8956 One of the thing about ASOIAF is how events that the reader knows are true can be misconstrued by the gossip of thousands of different people and thousands of different backgrounds. For example a lot of people in King's Landing thought that Robb Stark could turn into a direwolf and devour his enemies, when in actuality Robb just brought Grey Wind into battle for him.
@@ThelronFjord Also this play was being presented years later all the way in Essos, so there's plenty of time and distance for what happened to be distorted by word of mouth, *especially* if the Lannister regime is intentionally spreading propaganda.
The most fascinating part of how warped this play’s view of everything is is that Tyrion wasn’t even in King’s Landing for most of those events. Cersei’s propaganda is just that effective I guess
This was super interesting, to see how the rest of the world thought things went, it never occured to me it might seem like Tyrion stole Sansa from the king
Cersei - caring and loving mother and wife Joffrey - sweet royal prince/king whos constantly abused Robert - drunken, boisterous abusive fool Ned - a lower-class lout whos easily manipulated Tyrion - the evil mastermind behind everythint that went wrong at King's Landing Sansa - loving would-be bride to King Joffrey and well-meaning daughter of an idiot lord
I was laughing my ass off during the whole play scene, but the way they portrayed Ned genuinely hurted. The most honourable man in the North died sacrificing his honour and was viewed by the rest of the world like a traitorous fool.
@@forodinssake9570 The fact that you have presumably watched this show and still don’t understand the basic themes of the show indicates to me that it might’ve been your mother who drank a little too much while with you.
"Was that mean🤓" Always cracks me up because you can tell Arya was bullshit they were disrespecting her late father. In other notes those puppies are so perfect.
the actor playing ned stark in the video is also the kings landing guard that catches tyrion about to get back on the small boat on the beach when he sneaks into talk to jaimie
Anybody who loves hot fuzz knows that the guy who plays the hound, played Michael, the special-needs trolley boy. But in this scene, the guy who plays Ned Stark played Sergeant Tony Fisher, the guy who looks like Dwight in hot fuzz.
It really makes you think how you really don't know what is at play of people ruling a country, you have never actually met them or anything, you can only infer things and rely on other people saying what actually happened. Yet in your mind you think you have a more or less clear image of what is really happening...
let's all be honest if we were living in this world we'd find ourselves entertained by this parody of contemporary political events whether it be historically accurate or not.
@@spanishflea634 5 and 6 were pretty decent. I will admit the quality started to decline during 6. But 5 was pretty good and neither 5 nor 6 were anywhere as braondead as season 7 and 8
@@beaconhousepechsfilm-makin8187 ur insane if u think season 6 sucked. It had some of the greatest episodes of all time. hodor episode, battle of the bastards, and winds of winter was probably one of the greatest television episodes of all time. If that's not good television idk what is. Season 5s hardhome was also legendary.
@@admiralaokiji7889 Hardhome was pretty much the only good part of season 5. Everything else just butchered the books. Season 6 I can forgive because it does have some of the most iconic moments of the show and the last two episodes really were great, especially the build up to the sept blowing up. Perfect moment for Cersei's character, although I think she was horribly boring in season 7 and 8 so there wasn't much payoff.
@@admiralaokiji7889 but the build up to these events was so stupid! I find it harder to watch the battle of the bastards because it makes no sense that Sansa would a) initially refuse the army, b) randomly go off and accept the army and c) NOT TELL JON ABOUT THE ARMY AT ANY POINT! Good storytelling is sacrificed for spectacle and a cool moment in the battle. Not to mention how quickly danys mereen storyline is resolved in the same episode because the writers were bored of it. Also, whilst the sept blowing up was a cool scene, there were literally no consequences for cersei as a result, and the power vacuum left by the missing Tyrell’s was never addressed (especially once olenna died as well)
Honestly, Arya is better than me . Watching a play of my father be portrayed as a traitorous fool and my sister being degraded would send me spiraling 😪
There was a scene where Arya said it was the third time she was seeing this act. In fact, she has only seen it two times. First time, in fact, was the time when she witnessed her father executed :( Good detail!
Looking in the hindsight, it should have been Arya who committed genocide against the civilians instead of Daenerys. All the set ups that made her hate the smallfolks was here in this scene, and in many scenes that came before.
