@@pokahontas5410 Same but when she finally gets to Dragonstone she let's her army rest after the long journey for about 5-6 days and then storms King's Landing with all her force and all 3 of her dragon's. The city should fall in about 2-3 hour's unless Cersei goes full on BURN THEM ALL and light's the city on Wildfire
I know what you mean...I understand the feeling perfectly...it feels like this person was not the same one we watched...like this scene is frozen forever in a time loop.
The cinematography, the score, the acting, everything was still top-notch in the last two seasons, if only the writers were as good or gave as much shit as the rest of the crew.
Do you think the mad queen story can work? However it needed 4 more seasons to make it work. Season 7 is the same but done in ten episodes, season 8 is about the final fight with the white walkers, season 9 and 10 are about Dany and Jon's love story and her becoming slowly becoming the mad queen.
@@Story2ScreenMovieReviewPodcast anything can work in GoT if it's fleshed out enough, but personally I don't think it would work since the "person says they are not their parents but it turns out they actually are no matter how many times they tried not to be" would just make her journey meaningless
It’s all about GOT.. did you want Ned Stark to be killed, or did you imagine Robb and Kat die in that way, or expect Hodor to die???… nothing happened the way we expected or wanted… that’s why it’s so exceptional
I was so hyped by this ending. The soundtrack, Dany and her fleet, the dragons. They’re finally invading Westeros... but season 7 came. I was disappointed.
@@Hash-vo1hi some events/scenes felt a bit rushed, just like your death in season 8 your lordship should've been a season long & not one episode. Overall it was a decent ending for the show but it didn't finish on a high note just like how it begun. If they were able to make 2-3 more seasons, i think it would've done a great deal for the series cohesiveness & flow but oh well, all good things must come to an end..
This is the best scene of the series for me... I waited for more than 10 years, since I started reading books back in 2003, to see Daenerys sail to Westeros. Super epic moment, it will always give me chills.
The ultimate payoff right in this moment. I was beaming and probably crying. I’ll never forget the anticipation of seeing her on the ships and then this scene.
I think we can all agree that this is were the show really ended. And it's the best ending by far Dany finally going home with an army and her children and winds of winter in the background 1000/10 quality ending.
The fact that Dany had more people on her side, a fleet, same number of dragons as Aegon the conqueror, she could've conquer the Seven Kingdoms again in a hush. What a power and what a shame how everything ended.
1:07 The reaction of horses and the sound of dragon’s wings when they hit the surface of water always catch me. The fact that how detailed this epic scene is, and the amount of effort the CGI team have put to make this masterpiece is exceptional. Well done.
Daenerys Stormborn, of the House Targaryen. First of her name. Mother of Dragons. Queen of the Andals and the First Men. True Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea. The Unburnt. The Breaker of Chains. Queen of Mereen. She isn't the Queen we need, she is the Queen we deserve.
The music in this scene is so magnificent. Ramin took the greyjoy theme and added high valyrian words to it and combined the greyjoy theme with house Daenerys targaryens theme music. He's a GENIUS! 🎼🎶🎹
This is the greatest moment of the show. All three dragons together, the armies. I will never believe the last two seasons are a thing. Even though there’s moments I loved. This is the perfect ending.
there's just no way she would've lost. massive army devoted to her, three dragons, 1000 ships, two of the smartest men in Westeros at her side. crazy what they did to that story.
Best ending to a legendary series. I love how they leave it on an open-ended note. A lot of people will find it controversial but our imagination will play out the rest of the war and leave the characters' legacies unsullied (pun intended). Props to D&D for taking such a bold stance and going out at the top of their game!
Man hate the fact they cancelled GOT after this episode. Hopefully Jon ended up on the throne with Dany, Grey worm and Missandre are alive in the Isles of Narth and all is well in the world
I had a horrible dream that Arya Kills the Night King Instead Of Jon and He is exiled beyond the wall and Daenerys became mad and destroyed King's Landing, Cersei and Jaime were killed by Rubble, Tyrion become a cat instead of a Lion, The Unsullied killing surrendered soldiers. Oh what a horrible dream. I hope it dosen't come true.
Me too! it's embarrassing honestly lol How often I think about her death and how she deserved so much more. It brings tears to my eyes EVERY. DANG. TIME.
The best series finale ever. Best 6 seasons ever! I don't care we didn't get to see what happened after that trip. The development till season 6 wss masterpiece! (mymindjusterasedtheotherseasons)
No matter how many times I see this scene or episode, the amount of ships in the fleet NEVER fails to surprise me. If I was one of Daenerys’s enemies, I’d pretty much surrender immediately just seeing that many ships!
She did win it, up until she flipped out at King's Landing after losing her best friend, two outta three dragon children, one human child, a husband, and betrayed by two of her advisors including her Hand. Then she turned into a tyrant.
@@taetaecabellogrande4450 It's a tv show... They have to be or put some moral at the end which is Daenerys cant win, she killed innocent. Hollywood and fans cant and wont allowed it.
Love the unity this seen has. All following the Queen who actually fought and sacrificed, to earn respect. My favorite of all, the support she has fought for, those dragons and how they love and protect her. The absolute power they always project while in flight. The musical score captures this so beautifully. Perfection.
Wow... the wings of dragons grazing the waves....♥♥♥ - The shadow of the dragon on the sea.... The dragons are totally amazing ! This scene is wonderful ! Looks like those old dutch paintings... Daenerys, such a beautiful Queen for ever... a free woman who takes her life and destiny in her hands... But once again, too much love, too much self faith, too much belief can lose you...
@@Ludo045 But none of them told her to burn down King's Landing and everyone in it. She was supposed to get Cersei! Why did she not just do that? Then the people would have bent the knee.
This, and “Winter Has Come” (when Jon Snow is declared the King in the North) are the best music pieces in the ENTIRE series! No matter how many times I rewatch the scenes or listen to the songs over and over, they never fail to give me the feels! Ramin Djawadi is an outright genius!
If the showrunners decided to let season 6 a cliffhanger and the next season to be released somewhere in 2019 or 2020, they will get more money from anticipation like a sought out age old wine. The final two seasons really gave a serious damage to the entirety of the series.
@ugaaa5 I disagree - she was always harsh and merciless against her enemies, that is true. But she was never described as power hungry or cruel towards the small folk until the last episode. She supposed to be the defender of the poor people, the breaker of chains.. The people off Mereen called her Mother, for God's sake. She was a girl that knew what it was like not to have anything, to be dependent on other's goodwill- who was pretty much sold to the highest bidder herself, just as slaves are. So of course she can be cruel and it would've made sense for her to burn cercei and all her supporters, even Tyrion, after what he did. But never the smallfolk. To make her turn against them (and after she had already won!) simply doesn't make any sense for her character, no matter who she lost prior to that.
@ugaaa5 I guess that's one thing we can agree on then ;) maybe you're right and Martin intends for her to become bloodthirsty and paranoid like her father was in order to close the circle, but he certainly won't have her doing it over being spurned by a lover (I hope). She just deserved a better character arc. Cersei did, too. That death was incredibly anti-climatic
@ugaaa5 I can absolutely see the series going that way, but I'm not even sure if Martin intends for Jon to be revived at all.. I guess we'll all see. One good thing that's to be said about the last season is that people'll probably be more likely to read the book now whenever it's published.
@ugaaa5 she never was crazy she's not her father as she said. building an empire for fucking 7 season , coming over to all the bad shit happened with her she's a boss and she do not deserve ending like this instead of burning the city if could've burn the castle and kill Cersei (the death she deserved )
It makes us all sad... With House of the Dragon slaying it with new writers, If I was HBO I would retcon S8, give it the true ending... HBO has the money... you telling me the actors would not come back knowing they are going to do it right? The whole planet would watch it and HBO would be rolling in so much money!
i recently rewatched the show. i found myself fast forwarding through the majority of each episode, onyl watching scenes I enjoyed. I realized just how many scenes I did not enjoy. The first 3 seasons were so good, but after that I was really selective
